Club Belcekiz Beach Hotel

Stayed at the Belcekiz Beach in early May - a repeat visit - and had a fantastic time. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach front - literally a few paces from it. On arrival we were allocated our room in the main hotel - it was ok but the balcony was obstructed by a big tree. We asked at reception for a room change to the Annex - built slightly later than the main hotel and, in my opinion, better rooms. Nothing was available immediately but we were changed the next day - no fuss or bother. The room we ended up with was roomy, had a balcony at the front with sea view and a great view of the mountains from the big window at the opposite end of the room. The room was cleaned daily to a very good standard - clean towels daily and sheets changed every other day.
The food at the hotel is excellent with plenty of choice at all meals (buffet service) - there's even a snack bar that opens outside of the main buffet restaurant if you don't fancy a full meal - drink is also included in the all-inclusive package which runs from 0800 - 2359.
Certainly didn't go hungry during our time there !
The area is fine - no real night life to speak of apart from a few bars up the main street.
The hotel evening entertainment is not that good - the entertainment staff do their best but some of the shows make you wince a bit ! The professional shows are worth going to though. There are plenty of "travel" shops offering boat trips, paragliding etc but it's worth remembering that your travel insurance may not cover you on some of these - especially paragliding (as one guest during our stay found out the hard way). If you book through the hotel (Thompson) you're covered for accidents - a bit more expensive but worth it.
It's worth going down to the Blue Lagoon - it'll cost to get on - 4tl - but it's really relaxing and great for swimming.
The trips are worth going on if you don't mind being on a coach for a while. The Dolmus service is good value and ideal for getting to Hisaronu, Fethiye or Kayakoy.
All in all this is a great place to visit and a hotel you will not be disappointed in.

We spent 1 week in this wonderful hotel and wish it had been 2. The location is first rate, only a few steps from the beach and sea. Our room was of a high standard and the grounds attractive and well tended. Probably the best feature of our hotel stay was the extremely high quality of the food at every meal. The resort of Olu Deniz is stunningly attractive although the beach is rather too stony for paddling and swimming. We recommend this hotel without reservation.

Stayed 11 nights between 6/17th of May. Although all inclusive you can spoil yourself with the a la carte in the Plazza restaurant. The thai meal was the best of the holiday. We also had an Indian meal there which was good as well. Very friendly staff at the hotel, rooms ok and the food in the food hall good with a wide selection. Pool area gets congested, better off in garden area. Best beach is the Blue Lagoon which we went too 4 days and the beach in front of the hotel about the same. Good bars & restaurants along the beach front and up the main drag. Don`t stay in hotel all the time as you`ll get bored out of your skull. Try paragliding which is a must at this resort, I did and I`m 63.

Well what can i say, that i have not written before about this hotel.Having just returned after our seventh visit.Only two negative points, one being the entertainment, which for a platinum hotel is still poor.If it was,nt for "Air" would be even worse. The other is the price, which many other guests commented on,gone up again this year, and even more again for 2011.But enough of the downside, once again it was the staff, all of them that makes the hotel so perfect,it was a really pampered glourious fortnight. The new dining layout is fantastic.Would reccommend the hotel to anybody. One last point,as other reviewers have said do not buy anything from Dalaman airport, there cannot be any bigger rip off merchants.

Most reviews rate this hotel 4 star or better. For those offerring less than excellent reviews I can only imagine they are confused and did not stay at the Club Belcekiz Beach. Our overall experience was way beyond expectation and yes we have stayed in many platinum hotels and Caribbean all inclusive resorts.
All of the staff were brilliant. Food was plentiful, of good quality, well presented with a wide choice. Pool and gardens were just fine, rooms perfect and the location just superb. Public areas including bars and restaurants were particularly well run.

Stayed for a week at the Hotel between (03/05/10-10/05/10) and had a lovely time. As per previous reviews really enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding area.
Accomodation
The room we stayed in was modern, flat screen tv, corner shower, lovely firm beds and clean. You are provided with pool towel cards and can collect fresh towels as many times as you like throughout the holiday from a small area by reception. Handy if you have been to the beach then want to sit by the pool after.
Facilities
The entertainment was ok, I don't except Broadway productions when I'm away on a package holiday, but it was certainly watchable and the open air aspect to the proformance made it all the better when you know the weather back home is pants! The only recommendation would be to start the karaoke night earlier and if you go you have to see Air (entertainment team) sing Barbie Girl-very good.
They have free table tennis and pool tables (two each) and we had no bother in getting a table after dinner each night, granted this may be different in peek session.
They have an onsite Spa/Turkish bath, hairdressers, newsagents and internet cafe (3 lira for 15 minutes)
Food
I very much enjoyed the food and had no tummy problems, I like to try different cuisine whilst on holiday and found the hotel had a lovely mix. The curry night was superb, and it was all made freshly in front of you. The lunchtime Cafe was also good, in particularly the Chicken Lavias (wrap style sandwiches). I could not fault the food and we were pleased with the selection.
Location
Excellent, its peaceful but also in the heart of OD, so you pop out to the beach (less than five minutes, literally out the back gate) or the shops. As mentioned before the beach is stony but I had taken my rubber beach shoes so not a problem. Shopping was great and we loved all the handbags tops etc. Many bargains much cheapness!
Conclusion
Yes by UK/US stands I agree its not five but for Turkey it certainly is, the weather was perfect, location was perfect, hotel and all their staff was perfect. I would definitely go back.
