My friend and I went for a weeks break here. As a brand new hotel there were a few details that could do with attention but on the whole we had a lovely time. The room was fine, with great aircon and a bathroom with a brilliant shower. The pool and bar area were very nice. The food was really good with a wide variety of delicious salads. The desserts weren't really my cup of tea but there was fresh fruit at every meal.

The staff were friendly and helpful and worked very long hours.

The hotel was ideally situated about 10 minutes walk from the beach and very close to the main Olu Deniz strip - so very handy for everything.

Our only bugbear with the hotel was that it did not have safe storage for our suitcases on the last day.

We stayed at the Marcan resort for our first holiday in Turkey and were not disappointed. We were late arriving due to waiting for people who did not bother to turn u for transfer meant bar was closed and we had just missed snack but staff were welcoming and helpful showing us to our room in Block A facing the pool. The rooms are very modern and spacious and we had new bits arriving each day when we got back -a stool one day and bed runners the next but not a problem.Yes the mosque is close by but you get used to it and we enjoyed listening even at 5am.Towels were available for around the pool and we only had one day when they had run out. Pool area great and beds were always available even when we had been out for day still got one when we got back, may not be the case when hotel is full, especially when some guests had put towels on beds first thing and did not return until late afternoon! Restaurant was very clean and staff helpful, food was a little repetitive but very nice l loved the salads and fresh cooked omelettes and pancakes on a morning. Shame the pizza chef left heard they were very good hopefully its sorted and they have a new one now.Spa was unfinished but we went to one recommended by rep which was next door at Montebello and it was lovely. Entertainment staff were great, worked hard day & night, and were very helpful even checked my dvd of paragliding for me.The hotel is a nice walk from the beach and strip so you have the best of both worlds. Laying around the pool watching the paragliders made us want to try and wow what an amazing experience!!! Recommend Sugar's Boat for a lovely day out with amazing food- we booked through Gravity. On the last day our transfer was late but staff did not mind phoning and chasing it up 3 times a no cost for us. Spoke to some people who had experienced problems but we had no complaints and we would stay again. We wish the Marcan all the best for the season.

Beautiful new hotel with lovely rooms, pool area, great salads and good service but small things to address - ie more pool toilets, disappointing burgers, some repetitive food. Not much to eat for kids.

Just returned from staying at the Marcan Resort for a week. I really enjoyed my stay, the hotel is lovely, stayed in a family room and it was massive, rooms were cleaned everyday to a good standard with fresh towels provided. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially the animation team who provided great entertainment, Serkan was lovely (from the Ninjias) ☺. Food was good (I had no complaints) it was very much the same each day but when you go all inclusive what do you expect but the staff did listen to what people had to say and the food was improving with variety each day. Pool bar very good, variety of drinks provided all day even cocktails which you don't normally get when going all inclusive. The 5am wake up call with the mosque each morning wasn't that bad after the
second day you tend not to notice it. Overall I had a great holiday and would definately return, I think there has been the odd hick up with the hotel having not been open long but as I say the staff listened to all comments and suggestions and this will be an amazing hotel when the little things have all been addressed.

We arrived here on 14 May 2013, we were made very welcome from the off, got to room, no towels, no hangers, and a pillowcase on bed awaiting the pillow!! BUT I was not ready to start off my holiday on a bad note..so requested these items, and was given them right away..So all was well on that score.
Food:- At first was very limited, plenty of salads of course, but would have loved to have seen more meat choices..but as the first week went in, there was more and more choices appearing, so all good there too.

Rooms:- Beautiful rooms, small, but you are only in there getting ready to go out..or sleeping, so again, suits the purpose..Bathroom:- again small, but shower is absolutely fantastic, large ceiling shower head, WOW, I need one of those in my bathroom too !! the only down side..mattress was so hard, which suited my husband..but not me!!

Pool Area:- Certainly big enough for the amount of guests there, when we were there, but I can see it being very busy if hotel is full, there are 3 pools, the main one, a kiddie pool and a pool with water chutes, all were used when we were there, and are great, sun beds are comfy enough, maybe more umbrellas needed though.

Fitness room was not set up as yet.

Staff:- Entertainment staff work tirelessly all day, and into the night too, they continually ask everyone how they are, is there any problems, do they want to join in etc..every day ( and this is not annoying, as there is 2 of them, as they are so nice and polite too) Restaurant Manager and his staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them either, no sooner have you finished eating, your plate is removed.
Reception staff are always willing to help, and we had many laughs with the night receptionist, when we came back into hotel, after venturing out.

One thing I may point out though is...There is only the pool bar or a few seats to sit in Reception at anytime restaurant is closed, I wonder what will happen when it rains..there is really nowhere else other than your room, that you can go to, no lounge or bar area??

Overall, there is little teething problems here, BUT if you politely mention it ( I say politely, as I saw, and heard, people shouting at reception staff, for silly LITTLE things, many, I have mentioned above) the problem is fixed asap.
I myself, went to speak to the Manager Ozgur ( who, again, made sure he walked around the hotel, pool area etc every day, speaking to guests) on our last day, and thanked him for a lovely holiday, and the poor man, I'm sure was expecting me to kick off too !! so he was pleasantly surprised, when I didn't.
To finish....please, give this hotel a chance, it is BEAUTIFUL, the staff are GREAT, the food is EXCELLENT, and everything considered, it will take time to establish too.
Try it..you will love it.

Room Tip: Rooms in 1st or 2nd block are ideal ( behind Reception) as others are too near entertainment at nigh...

Stayed in this great hotel from the 11th-25th of may and loved it.yes its a new hotel with little teething problems but buy the end off our holiday they had been all resolved.the food was great and got better every day off our second wk,we loved it!at the end off the day all inclusive is repetitive but there is always plenty to choose from.drinks were fine and we never had any problems with not getting what we asked for.the staff were all friendly and very polite and as always in turkey very hard working.the room was spacious and cleaned daily and special mention to our shower it was great.entertainment was great some nights and ok other nights but we are on holiday not in vegas lol.the main gripe we had was that when we arrived at 04.30 in morning there was no water in our fridge so if you have any medication to take make sure you buy water on the bus.other than that we had a brill holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and we would definitely go back.Dont let the moaners and picture hunters put you off just enjoy your holiday...

Stayed for a week from 19th May, woke on the Monday and looked out to the pool and saw towels!!! Every bed .... This happens most days, there were days when beds were 'reserved' with a towel and not occupied / used to the mid / late afternoon. We opted to go to the lagoon and the beach a couple days and pay for beds. Have never experienced it to that extent before. We had a room in block D right by the pool bar overlooking the pool and was up early a couple mornings, sat on the balcony watching people run around reserving beds as early as 7.50am.

As per the other reviews, there's teething issues, arrived after 11pm on Sunday, initially the man on reception couldn't find our reservation, was given a ground floor room, no wifi access and terrible smells from the drains so asked to move, after a couple of hours and a couple of calls to reception and a visit had the room changed to the second floor. Drain smells weren't as noticeable.

Beds comfy, only one pillow per person and a sheet, great air conditioning units, fridge (empty), no tea / coffee making facilities, lots of storage, only 2 hangers in the wardrobe, bathroom compact but perfect for our needs. Pool towels provided by exchanging cards with your room no.con, caws told to leave the towels in the room and the cleaners would replace them mid week (didn't happen for us), our room wasn't cleaned for the last 3 days we were there.

Noticed last couple days of stay there were notices put up all over requesting food / drink not to be taken to the rooms for guests safety.

We found the food ok, did eat out 3 evenings and a couple lunch times, in general the food is ok, good choice of Mediterranean / Turkish cold salads at lunch and in the evening, none with notices so it was trial and error on which ones we liked and working out what was in some of them. Breads, soup, chips, rice and 2/3 hot dishes served each meal, including a chicken curry which was nice. Breakfast had choice of cereals, pancakes, omelettes, boiled eggs, cheeses, cucumber & tomatoes. From 2pm there's chips, burgers (not like the ones at home), toasted sandwiches and pizza's served If you missed lunch and a good alternative for children.

Bar, served from early morning to midnight, water, soft drinks, alcohol and coffee (from a machine).

Entertainment, didn't really spend much time there in the evenings as preferred to go into Olu, saw bingo, karaoke, acrobats, music quiz and live music advertised but didn't participate. Days entertainment was limited to water aerobics, pool and darts competitions as far as I saw.

No issues with noise from the bar or poolside in the evening, slept through the call to prayer after the second night, noticed that the staff during the day / evening turned off the music when the call to prayer started which I thought was very respectful.

Noticed that there's a few new hotel complexes that have sprung up since our last visit to Olu, this is bound to popular as its new and that's it's 'edge' but have had just as an enjoyable stay at 3 of the older hotels in the area.

Can't recommend getting out of the hotel and visiting the lagoon and the beach enough, both beautiful and a great escape from the limited space around the pool. Wifi is advertised as being in all the rooms and around the pool, couldn't get wifi using an iPad or IPhone in the ground floor room and was hit & miss around the pool bar, could get it in the higher floor rooms but after a power cut on the Thursday couldn't get it in the rooms either until we left.

The young bar staff and restaurant staff are a definite asset and really work hard and long hours, didn't see a tip box so on our last day we gave money to the individuals we'd had contact with. Will definitely return to Olu Deniz but not sure we'd return to the hotel.
