“Excellent holiday!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, wonderful holiday. From start to finish the staff were friendly and willing to do anything for us. Every member had a smile on their face 24/7. The hotel room was immaculate, with every area of the hotel being clean and tidy. The activities that were put on were excellent and the pool games were great fun. This area of Turkey is absolutely stunning and we couldn't have wished for a better holiday. This was our first time all-inclusive, and it has set the standard to an extremely high level. Food was varied and brilliant on every night. Far enough away from the centre to avoid the noise but close enough to stroll in and enjoy the hustle and bustle. Will definitely be returning and have already recommended it to all of my friends and family. Seriously consider going to this hotel and this area as it is magnificent.

Room Tip: Block two was quiet with good views of the surrounding hillside

Well - not quite, as my luggage didn't turn up until Day 2, but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
Can't fault the Green Forest; it was brilliant for the entire 10 days of our stay. I'm only afraid to say so, as next time I want to book it will be full!!
The staff were superb, friendly and polite; the hotel spotless and the food extensive and varied (apart from the desserts, but that's a pretty standard thing in many countries - they like their little cakes, don't they?!)
Out of school holidays, it was like having my own private pool - which, again, was spotless. Not a leaf or a fly to be found, even the day after pruning the palm trees.
Management were always in evidence, making sure everything ran like clockwork. Given that so much of a package holiday price goes to the airline, I struggled to see how this place could make a profit as nothing was too much trouble and there was no shortage of staff, in the restaurant, the bar or cleaning the rooms.
Just far enough out of the resort to avoid the general bustle of night time - and there was no need to leave the hotel really, apart from for a bit of variety and shopping. The courtesy bus to the beach runs twice a day - free - and there was no shortage of sunbeds, in and out of the shade. The animation team had the tone set just right and were neither too loud nor too pushy and the evening entertainment excellent for a hotel of this size.
I can't praise it enough.

Room Tip: Better to overlook the pool and gardens, but as you don't spend much time in your room, it doesn...

Just returned after 2 weeks at Green Forest Hotel. Really good stay, hotel immaculate, rooms clean, all/inc very good value, entertainment team tireless day and night but please drop the comedy night, it doesnt work (sorry). All the staff make you feel welcome. Only down side was the air con couldnt cope with 40+ temperatures. Would defo recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: garden view rooms are good. dont be at the back.

We have just returned for a 2 week stay at the Green Forest Hotel and the whole family agree when we say this is the best all inclusive hotel we have ever stayed in. We traveled with our 2 children aged 18 and 15 and there was always plenty to keep them entertained. Transfer was about 90 minutes but passed quickly and check in was quick and efficient with friendly staff which was nice when arriving at 12am. Our rooms were on the same floor but in different blocks adjacent to each other which didn't cause a problem as the resort isn't large. We had a twin room and a double room, one with a garden view the other a mountain view which were both lovely. Rooms are spotless and linen and towels were changed daily, beds were very comfy and air con was good. The only comment that can be made about the rooms is hanging space, plenty of room if you are a man, but could do with more length for dresses. The food in the hotel was excellent always fresh and plenty of choice for even the pickiest eaters. The food was never repetitive and we all agree is the best all inclusive food we have had in any hotel. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming making the effort to know you by name especially our favorite waiter Sezer and plates were never left empty on the table for to long. Mehmet the food and beverages manager always went out of his way to check everything was ok for all guests and was very welcoming. Staff throughout the hotel from the front desk to the bar staff are excellent and so friendly, especially our favorite bar man Engin. Last but not least we can't forget the entertainment team who made our holiday. Aziz, Freddy, Apoo, El and Furkan are amazing working hard all day and night to keep us all entertained. There was plenty to do water polo, water aerobics, various pool games, shooting, darts, archery and pool. The team will try and get you involved but if you say no they aren't pushy. They work between 10am-12pm then 2:30pm- 5pm which means its never to full on. On a night they try their hardest to keep everyone entertained with various dance shows, bingo, karaoke and comedy shows which at times were hilarious. The only comment we can make about this hotel is the variation of drinks behind the bar, as we would've liked a few more different spirits and beers but this would not effect us returning. Overall we had a fabulous holiday at this hotel and can't wait to return.

We picked this hotel completely by accident and how glad were we that we did! It's fantastic! The food is great, the staff are competent, friendly and unobtrusive (Ali on the front desk is an absolute star and Mehmet, the food service manager is excellent), the pools are lovely and the local surroundings are fun. It's just far enough off the strip that you're not bothered by the noise but close enough that you're no more than 10 mins walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. The check in is rapid and hassle free, the air con works beautifully, the rooms are a nice size and always kept spotlessly clean. We adored it here. The only down side was that we only booked a week!

Location:
90 mins from airport which isn't too fun. Thomson rep kept us all waiting on coach for 30 mins at 2am on arrival with no explanation and then when we finally left said she had to organise a taxi for someone. That doesn't mean we all have to sit around and wait for that, love. Kept waking everyone up with random pointless announcements as everyone tried to sleep. Was just reading off a card "Ill let you sit back now and enjoy the views of turkey!". We are on a bus on a motorway and its dark. Kept trying to sell mosquito bands (I saw one mozzie on whole holiday) and thought showing us her bites would make a difference.
Beautiful surroundings, good views of forests and mountains.
5 minute walk into town. 15-20 mins to walk to the far end of town.
100s of bars and restaurants and shops that sell fake everything of mixed quality.
Some hassle from vendors despite most having signs saying "no hassle".

Food/Restaurants:
Food is good quality and fairly good selection. Different themed nights with several new dishes.
Staff won't let you eat restaurant food OUT of the restaurant. Problem is the restaurant indoors is 30+ degrees and outdoor "terrace" is similar with just a few swinging fans. We took food down by the pool to some tables (where you CAN eat food from the snack bar) and the "restaurant manager" (apparently) said we couldn't eat there as it would cause "big problem." I asked him why as you could eat food from the snack bar, he just kept saying "big problem." Clearly a born poet. As restaurant is so hot, this is "big problem" for your guests champ.
Snack bar closes strictly at 4pm as does pancake bar.
Tried to order a pancake at 403pm. Reply was "Finished" and Turk walks off.
Pancakes are sweet only. Snack bar has chips, burger, pizza etc. Quite slow but fairly tasty.
Between 4pm and 730pm there is no food anywhere. So strictly its a Semi-Inclusive resort. They shouldn't really do this esp if you arrive back shortly after 4pm.
Staff in restaurant are really good and friendly but will take your plate unless you chain yourself to it.

Checkout:
Took 30 seconds. You get to keep your wristband until you leave so you can continue eating/drinking.
After checkout theres a room downstairs where you can shower before coach transfer.

Rooms:
Rooms are fine, but tv is 10 rubbish channels and fridge is tiny. Not much hanging space in wardrobe. Balcony is small but nice. Blocks NOT above reception are fine and good views.
Beds aren't particularly comfortable.
Air Conditioner blows directly on you while you're in bed (rooms are quite small) which some people dislike.

Drinks:
Drinks are fairly limited (beer, house red white rose, 4 spirits, 5 mixers, 4 "cocktails")
"Cocktails" are very synthetic tasting and come from a machine.
All drinks during the day served from sharp edged plastic cups. Usually tasted of soap or the last persons drink. Tried to get a glass a few times but glasses during the day are banned. But weirdly they are fine at night. See "Big Problem" comment above.
No waiter service. They collect but don't take orders. Weird.

Entertainment team:
4-5 guys and 1 girl. They're all really friendly energetic and lovely. Try to encourage everyone but not too over the top. Some of the entertainment is average but a few good shows. Cant say anything bad about them as they're all so nice and friendly. Doing their best! Manager is nice too and chips in with the odd card trick, info.

Wifi:
You need to get a code from reception. Half the day doesn't work, the rest really slow.
Just buy a decent router and some bandwidth pls.

Thomson Rep:
Nice kid but just says "Fantastic" and "As well" about everything. Needs a thesaurus.
Has to speak at 4,800 wpm to fit everything in so unless you're from midlands (oh, you are) you will struggle to keep up.

Beach:
Get the free bus from reception.
Blue lagoon is so crowded you can't see any of the beach. 7 Lira per bed/umbrella.
Stoney and shingle beach. Food/Bar is busy and average.
Go to Seahorse beach club instead. 10 Lira to get in, free everything.
Good restaurant. 10 lira drinks. (£3). £5-12 meals. Great staff!

Room Tip: NOT the block where reception is.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the green forest hotel. We are a couple aged 44 and 48 with twin daughters aged 16.we had interconnecting rooms one double one twin situated above the reception. The rooms quite small but adequate very clean with a small balcony overlooking the pool.towels changed daily and rooms cleaned daily.our cleaner was lovely always smiling and spoke always working hard bless her.The reception staff were always polite and made an effort to speak to us all on a daily occurrence. The food was excellent a theme night every night our favourite being chinese.all food was freshly prepared looked amazing and even if you were the fussiest eater you would find something to eat.my only moan would be desserts as you had to guess what they were but they looked fab! All the staff in the resturant were attentive smiley and polite my favourite being cheeky sezer and ferhat who was so shy but lovely. Memet the manager ran a tight ship he was always very welcoming and overlooking everyone. He is a very interesting and charming man who spent some time at our table showing us some card tricks amazing!!! The hotel itself is situated in a lovely position about a slow stroll of 3mins to the start of town where there is an asza supermarket.keep going and you hit all the shops, beauticians etc well worth a visit. Pool area very clean lovely big pool with lots of shade, always got sunbeds in the morning.we spent most if the time around the big pool as thats were the entertainment team was but if you want a quiet pool theres one two. The entertainment team are just so funny they work so hard are very attentive and really made our holiday I laughed everyday either at them or with them . Freddie, Ozzie, el, Apol, mr dj loved you all . Lots of activities if you wanted, aqua aerobics, archery, killer pool, shooting, they kept my girls busy and my husband while I read my books on the sunbed :)...The evening entertainment was either good or so bad it was good but we loved it... we had a brilliant holiday loved every bit of it.we did go to the talk of the town show me and the girls loved it hubby hated every minute of it but hes a mans man and felt uncomfortable and he did get picked on ( even funnier hehe)...worth it for a change of scenary. Would we go again? YES would I recommend the hotel?YES ....I really dont know how anyone could moan about the green forest hotel..so if you have booked it you will love it!
