This was our first visit to the Yalcin but our fifth visit to Turkey. We had always stayed in Fethiye but decided to join some friends at the Yalcin. We were very impressed with the staff. Friendly, efficient, hard working, fun, polite, can't speak highly enough of them. Setting for hotel fab away from the hectic pace of the main street. Entertainment laid on if you want to join in or just watch. All the staff remain enthusiastic and cheerful even when participants are not very willing! All in all great hotel, good food, fab Turkish night. Will go again . Well done all the team you are great!

We stayed at this hotel for the first time 10 years ago we had young children it is in a great location and we went every year for about 5 years Robbie was working there then and was and still is a credit to the hotel. We decided to return this year with a large family party to celebrate my 50 th Birthday we booked rooms months in advance as we have all stayed at the hotel before we knew what rooms we wanted and were told they would be sorted on arrival most of our rooms were wrong meaning many of us had to ask to be moved one of our party was so upset it caused a rift in our party and subsequently ruined it for us I will not be returning to this hotel it is a great shame as Robbie and the rest of the staff are great Erick the owner could do with learning from them as he was responsible for the messing up of all the rooms he is so unorganised !!!

Hi
It is Me Eric. It is so upseting to see this review from you after all we have done for you.
I'm not gonna go into much details not to make it more complicated but I will explain the situation.
On your arrival, I have given you a room but you said to me you want to be in the same block with your family so we have changed your room to a one bedroom apartment without any extra charge to make you feel special for your birthday.

Then your friends arrived and they had been booked for ground floor aparment because of walking difficulty. Then you told me that they want an upstairs apartment. I still changed it when they were booked for ground floor apartment and gave them upstairs one.

After Your sister and family arrived they wanted to be all in the same block but I still gave them one bedrrom apartment and 2 bedroom apartment on the same block.

Couple of days after your sister came they wanted suıte apartment but after all the moving about before which mixed all the bookings we couldn't gave them the apartment they wanted. Because already one of your family had it. And they didn't want to stay in any other apartments in the hotel. But What we done for them is, I came out from my own apartment in the middle of the night, got it cleaned for them in the early hours of morning. And I gave it to them not to let them down. And ıt is much confortable and bigger than what we offered.
Other thing is in my hotel there is not one person staying,There are lots of other guests 2 so Im trying my best to make it confortable for my every other guests.
Anyway we explained all the situation and appologised them.
We had great birthday party.Everything went well for a couple of days till when they fell out with each other about the bookings that one of them had the room that they wanted. So this is when we get the blame. I really wish all these things never have happened. We feel so sorry about this situation.
Regards Eric

This may be a slightly unusual review as I first visited Yalcin,s over 20 years ago. It then had just one small block of bedrooms. Eric and Sam were little boys and the family spoke very little English.
On our visits, we taught the boys games like musical chairs etc.

In those days there were no made up roads or pavements in the village, but the hospitality was amazing. Goats use to wander the streets and many of the villagers slept in the open at night when it was really hot.

I went back for a period of about 6 years and then moved to Australia, I am going back this year in July, I know it's changed beyond recognition, but I am so looking forward to it. Sadly could not get booked at Yalcin,s but will pop in to relive some of the happy memories.

First time at this hotel and would definitely go back. All the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean and towels and linen changed daily. The meals were lovely and great value for money and the service was fantastic. The Thomson rep (can't remember her name, sorry!) was lovely and again went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, even offered to take us into Fethiye for the afternoon as we got lost the first time! All in all had a great time even though the weather was a bit wet the week we were there!! Would highly recommend this hotel.

The Yalcin Hotel was a thousand times better then anywhere else we ate in Hisaronu. No question. The Steak Maxim is a must !! I must confess I didn't stay in the hotel but through a chance meeting with Rob due to a minor issue with our Villa we were offered a meal on the owner of the villa at her favourite place The Yalcin ! We were blown away by how friendly and helpful Rob was, he went way beyond the call of duty to ensure we were happy, nothing was too much for this guy. We age there again and again. Jason, Ramsay, Eric and Erin were all really friendly too. Rob was kind enough to let us stay in a room on our last day as we had a late flight and had to leave our villa at midday and have to say the whole place is lovely. I wouldn't choose any other hotel in Hisaronu. We miss you guys already. Take Care and thanks for all you did for us.
