pro's
hard mattress, good for back
have a early riser - you need to get to pool for 7 am to put towels down
friendly staff apart from little umpa lumpa who can just about summon a smile
blok 7 perfect rooms
excellent healthy food - lots of choice
focus - 6 island trip from the strip - well worth the £6 each and around £20 for drinks and ice creams all day
didnt hear any music from next door
temp on a night around 31
temp on a day up to 44 one day - nice
aircon in blok 7 very good
con's
tried to get 1 couple out of our 15 people to go to another hotel upon arrival at 01.00 am
we argued and said no - they "found" a room after 15 mins
beds in blok 2 are awful
beachs are NOT sand - they are gravel and hurt you feet
sea horse beach is ok for snorkelling
single duvet across a double bed. and single blankets.
I would prefer to sleep with my wife.
they gave two 18 year old girl cousins a double bed and me and the wife two singles.
but happy to move us on the thursday afternoon after others checked out
aircon in blok 2 - stonage
I would say it was an average hotel.

Room Tip: ask fro room in blok 7, but not the roof rooms

Stayed at this hotel in August last year with my friend. Thought the hotel was great. The only down side I would say was that the rooms could do with a revamp. They were spoitlessly clean but the bathroom was a bit on the small side and our balcony door didnt open very well, although when we called reception they sent someone up straight away to fix it. I was Ill the first few days of the holiday and the hotel were great, sending a doctor straight away. All the staff were really friendly. The food was average but what you would expect of an all inclusive hotel, although the restaurant was so hot you sometimes didnt feel like eating!! The hotel was very busy at the time and although there wasn't many sunbeds we always managed to find one when we went down to the pool. It's in a great location, a short walk from the main strip. All in all a great holiday and would definately return!

just returned back from the turquoise hotel in olu deniz , arrived about 2:30 am and we were met by the reception staff and security guard , oh and the 2 lovely alsation dogs who were so docile it was so unreal .. after a quick check in showed to our room in block 1 , which immediately rung alarm bells after reading lots of negative reviews as its opposite the dorian hotel ... we decided to stay in the room and see how it was , have to say didn't bother us at all , no loud music to late , ( we did get told that t.c have pulled out from that particular hotel which has give them a wake up call about the complaints ) so I dnt think being in that block is too bad , the room itself was yes a little dated but plenty of space and the maids did a fantastic job and was kept spotless every day !! also the free air con was a god send , cause you will certainly need it !
The hotel itself is set in a great location far enough from the main strip but only 5r mins walk down there and they do offer a free pick up / return bus to the seahorse beach , if you get fed up of being by the pool , when we arrived in the first week of june the hotel did get very busy and there was not much room around the pool and you do need to be up at 7 if you want a sun lounger .. the staff themselves were pleasent but I didn't think they made much effort to interact and not many could speak much English which we thought was a downside , especially in the restaurant where it was run like a military exercise , and you could see the staff were petrified of their boss , very annoying when your plates are being removed as you are eating your last mouthful , food choice was ok lots of salads , not much in the way of good hot food , breakfast was fruit , cerals , chefs did cook ommelates , fried eggs and pancakes , snack bar during the day was good , and they did have an ala carte restaurant as an option , which cost 30 tl per person ( about £11 ) which everyone raved about , for us we thought it was just ok , your much better going down to the strip and you can get a much better meal there ( in our opinion )
Evening entertainment was your normal themed nights which they held in a little area away from the pool , a bbq on a thurs on the lawned area and the normal daytime activities around the pool .
Outside of the hotel the main strip was really good for shops and restaurents , loads of shops selling your fake t shirts , watches , sunglasses , trainers ect pretty good ones too and very cheap ... aswell as some really nice gift type shops ..
Lots of restaurents , fun pubs and beach bars to try , we loved anfobia , toscanas , and heard lots of people saying the swallow was good to eat , beach bar was really nice to chill ideal to watch the time go by and the sunset , if your planning on doing any excursions , we used guide tours ( find them on the dolmus road ) and they have a guide called memet who we can say is worth the money alone , fantastic knowledge and really makes the excursions enjoyable and meaningfull , absolute top guy , definite recommend this company .
Overall , oludeniz has definitely got the wow factor , lovely place nice people , if you want a little more breeze and lots of nightlife go upto hisaranu ( just over a pound on the dolmus ) ,
Turquoise hotel was really nice but as an A.I hotel we thought it wasn't the best , and the staff and family could make you feel more at home , saying that it was kept spotless and that counts for a lot , we would definitely go back to olu , great place

Room Tip: we didn't find blok 1 a problem but many say block 4 is better location

This is our third time in Turkey and second time in Ölü Deniz and we have found this experience to be warm and welcoming. We arrived at the hotel nearing 12pm and were quickly showed to our rooms, which reminded us of some basement which allowed people from the canteen to look into our room. We were quickly moved to a much better room after our complaint without any problem. Overall the hotel is great value for money as the food is good and staff kind and welcome to help. They offer many services such as the restaurant, movie nights and recreational activities such as ping pong free of charge as well as hairdressing and turkish baths for a price. The hotel is positioned in a decent place far enough from the strip to avoid disturbance from the pubs and tourists however not too far from the beach. Nevertheless it is positioned next to Dorian hotel which was loud everynight of our stay. It is also close to the local mosque which has woken us up at sunrise, however we did get used to it. The hotel provides a good swimming pool, bar and theatre, however we didn't really spend too much time at the hotel to experience all these extras. Overall this hotel was the best experience of Turkey as of yet! Very pleased with this hotel. We also recommend to hire a car to visit all the nearby toutist attractions.

Trip Advisor had set my expectations high on this hotel, but I should have stuck to the rating it was given in the holiday brochures which is a 3 star.

I emailed in advance to request a room that wasn't in the attic and got no response, upon arrival at 2.30am we was given an attic room, you have to be 5ft 3in to walk around the room and use fully, but would still have to crouch in the shower. They have a round double bed that doesn't fit anyone taller and the view from our balcony was deserted land with piles of wood.
After complaining we was moved to 612 near the restaurant and reception and was lots better, basic but clean and had a decent shower and aircon so was happy with this room.

We was woken every day at 4.30 by the mosque that is close by - I haven't read anything about this so this was a surprise and would affect me choosing a hotel in this location again.

The maids were lovely and friendly, the reception staff were helpful.

Food was nice, the choice in the morning was limited and often had warm milk with cereal, the best choice of food was for dinner. We did eat out a few times as the seafront and olu deniz strip (5-10min walk) had great choice for really cheap. We had a 3 course meal on the sea front with wine for 2 people and came to £20 per person.

The average holiday maker at this hotel was overweight, tattooed and chain smoking, so we didn't really fit in although by the end of the holiday i would say we was closer to the overweight category. Sorry if that makes me snobish, but it really did affect us wanting to spend time round the pool and using the amenities as we was constantly surrounded by smokers and loud brash individuals. Anyone that says this isn't the case must have fell into the categories above.

There is free wifi, and the hotel had great cinema nights on the lawn once a week.

To use the pool you have to put a towl on your bed around 6.45 as I went down once at 7am and most of the beds were taken, even though there are notices to say not to do this before 7am, there aren't enough sunbeds and the pool area is cramped.

The alsations didn't affect us they were gentle giants so please don't let bad reviews of the dogs put you off.

We got our value for money from this hotel as we used it as a place to lay our head, have a few cheap nights in and a couple of beers in the late afternoon, if you want a hotel to stay in for the full duration of your visit then please don't stay here.

The resort of Olu Deniz is lovely and the beach 10-15min walk is pebbley but has beautiful sea and worth a visit, it isn't any different at the end of the strip to the national park where you have to pay to get in and their toilets are not clean.

I hope this helps there are a mix of pro's and con's of this hotel, but we throughly enjoyed our holiday regardless of any negatives I may have put above.

Got such a cheap holiday, all inclusive for here and to be quite honest - we wasn't expecting much.
However, when we got there I was amazed by the cleanliness, polite staff, amazing food and to die for pool!

Everything was tip top, our rooms were lovely, fully working air conditioning, immaculate bathroom and just generally lovely space.

All the staff were friendly and would do anything for you.

The food selection was good, and tasted great - for a 3* hotel!

Honestly would recommend this hotel to anyone, families, older couples, solo travelers, and couples as it's just a fantastic hotel! :D
