This was the 2nd time that we visited the Turquoise Hotel during the autumn half-term holiday. It’s great for families and excellent value for money. The rooms are fairly simple but comfortable, with nice firm beds and flat screen TVs (in most rooms). They are kept spotless and tidy every day by the lovely cleaning ladies.
The staff are professional and friendly, without being over the top. This year, the entertainment continued until the end of October and the team worked hard. There were no signs of them ‘flagging’, which we have seen in other hotels. We were impressed with April who runs the mini club for children. April presented our 7-year old daughter and her friend with lovely bracelets.
The evening entertainment was good fun and I only wish I’d been there to watch it every night! On our last evening, April asked people for their favourite songs, so that they could play them at the pool bar. The red wine is very pleasant and I enjoyed the Tuborg beer. The coffee/drinks machines were always being replenished by the bar staff.
The food is always excellent. Plenty of choice for breakfast, including pancakes/omelettes (made to order while you wait), fresh fruit and Turkish Delight! Lunches and evening meals were excellent. The roast beef and Yorkshire pudding were excellent and they seem to use high quality ingredients (the roast beef was beautiful). The presentation of the food was often amazing too, including some impressive cakes. During our stay, we never once ate at restaurants in Oludeniz, as the food at the hotel was so good. The hotel’s owner and his family also eat at the hotel, which shows how high the standards are. The restaurant staff are extremely nice – quiet and sometimes a bit shy, but always friendly. The chefs clearly take a pride in their work and serve the hot food with a friendly smile.
As we were waiting for our transfer to the airport (at 6 pm), one of the managers came and encouraged us to grab something to eat in the restaurant before the coach arrived, which was a nice touch.

We arrived late night the receptionist looked miserable a state that did not change throughout the holiday. We arrived at our room which faced the road not the pool or garden as promised. The beds were uncomfortable and the room had not been cleaned properly I found somebody else shower gel in my bed and the sheets were like blankets and very uncomfortable. The cleaning did not improve and we often had to go and find missing towels after reception could not help sometimes you will find them in the shower room.
You must be up at 7.00 to get your towel on a sunbed and many are simply left on all day with nobody using the bed at all (perhaps removal by the hotel if the bed is not used for 90 minutes would allow everyone a chance of a sunbed).
The food was very limited some days there was only 1 choice of a meat dish and it was cold and unappetising. The staff who serve the food give very small servings-perhaps they know how bad the food is. Hygiene was very poor with Dogs and Cats in the indoor restaurant.
The entertainment was advertised but only happened on three nights the week we were there plus one night where the entertainment was Bingo for which they charged £25 for 1 game.
Olu Deniz is quite a run-down resort with a number of closed shops. The beach also allows Dogs which makes it dirty. The hotel runs a free bus to a private beach but when we arrived at 9.15 on the first bus the beach had empty beer bottles on it and had not been cleaned.

Room Tip: Consider another hotel

We have just returned from the Turquoise Hotel, Oludeniz after a week away.
We were a group of 24 friends and family with kids from 4 to 17!
We were first timers to Turkey and we weren't disappointed.
Hotels in a great position 5 mins from the beach and resort center, with shops, bars, restaurants and markets.
Fantastic beach with a stunning sunset whilst enjoying a beer or cocktail in Buzz Bar.
Hotel very clean if rooms a little dated but perfect for a cheap holiday in the sun.
Food not bad and always fresh, drinks a little limited but ok.
Take the free bus to Seahorse Beach on the Blue Lagoon absolutely stunning!
All in all a great time had by all and we were all agreed we'd return next year.

Just returned from this hotel on 2nd November. This is the fourth time to Oludeniz and each time in a different hotel. The Turquoise is good, we found the rooms clean, staff friendly. Food was good, but not great. The hot breakfast food was always cool as the lids were never replaced to keep heat in. Snack bar did nice toasties and burgers/chips. Dinner was good, always something to like. Drink selection not good, no white rum unless you paid. Wine and beer okay.

The pool was freezing but this is the same for all the hotels at this time of the year. The first time in an all inclusive where pool towels were not provided, so take your own or you will have to buy.

All in all the hotel was good value for money but would not return again to the Turquoise. This is because it is a lovely hotel for families. There is no adult swimming pool. Children making a noise around the pool is understandable but do not wish to listen to it everyday. There was not a lot to do in the evening for adults, apart from drinking at the bar.

The main beach is the best place, shingly beach and steep, the water is deep only a few yards from the shoreline. The weather was beautiful, the sea was warmer than the pool, very calm. Lovely to lie on the beach and watch the paragliders land.

Will be back to Oludeniz as the resort is just perfect.

Room Tip: We stayed in middle floor overlooking the pool in block 5. Room was lovely, small balcony, bathroom...

Travelled 4th- 14th October, weather was beautiful always in the 25-35 mark. Absolutely amazing holiday could not have asked for any more. The staff were amazing, and very attentive if you needed something. The maids were lovely and ALWAYS greeted you with a smile and said hello. The staff were really friendly and always smiled and stopped for a chat. The sunbeds and overall layout around the pool was great, and should you want to/need to, you could place your sunbed wherever you wanted. You can place your towels on the sunbeds after 7:00 am or they will be removed, so be warned. The food was lovely and there was always a evening special being cooked outside. The desserts and food differed from day to day, and you were always seeing new and different foods. The waiters/waitresses were VERY friendly and always had a smile on their face. Every Wednesday they did a outside celebratory BBQ for the guests and it was absolutely breath taking. The food was superb and the staff yet again were great. The bedrooms were fabulous too, were always cleaned for you, and were very comfortable and homely. Overall an amazing stay and are returning next year for 2 weeks, couldn't have had a better holiday, honestly, should be 5* not 4.

Room Tip: Stay in blocks 4-5-6 to avoid the noise and music from the Dorian hotel. And go down the strip at ni...

I actually have no idea where to start.... £10 each (incl. children) to gain entry into the country and this has to be in English currency. 1.5 hour coach journey. Grumpy reception staff upon arrival. The pool is freezing. Limited all-inclusive drinks (beer, wine, vodka, gin & brandy only!!!!!) I can't count the numerous times they ran out of hot chocolate, beans at breakfast, chips, lemonade, ice cream (which is only 1 hour a day!!) and almost all the help yourself juices & whenever you asked for anymore all they would say is "it's the end of the season - we close on Monday!!!" This was from the Sunday when we arrived.
The children's pool was freezing and we spent most of the time at Seahorse Beach (about 10 mins away via free shuttle from the hotel) beautiful & clean but be prepared to spend a fair amount as it's not all inclusive (the hotel made us sandwiches on the 1st day but then refused so we made our own at breakfast and that was a lot cheaper)
All in all - it was a shocking place and if it wasn't for the weather being so perfect and the children happy we would of requested another hotel. I really think Thomas cook & Thomson should re-think their star rating as we've travelled all over the world with the children and this was no more than a good 2* all-inclusive...... Ps. No towels are provided!!!!

Could nt fault at all. Al staff very friendly, they work very hard.
Food was good, varied and plentiful.
We were given a twin room instead of a double when we arrived but it was sorted the next day and we were moved to the attic room which was lovely, big round bed and a bathtub instead of just shower.
Everything was clean and well maintained.
We visited the turkish bath at the hotel on quite a few occasions, definitely recommended, very good prices.

Room Tip: Attic room was the best so long as you don't mind stairs and are nt too tall
