The first time I came to this hotel was 2006, and 4 years on it still brings us back! The rooms are nice and the majority of them come with a brilliant view from the balconies. They are also made up every day by the cleaning ladies who are more than helpful. There is a mixture of entertainment throughout your stay there so no one night is the same. The children are kept more than happy with the new "childrens entertainer" they did all sorts of things in the childrens play area (which is in the shade) like paintings, making their own t-shirts, mini discos, they were always happy. There is also stuff for the adults to do like, crazy pool games, water gym, water polo, water basket ball, table tennis, pool..... the only thing I would say is that the music in the afternoon around the pool could do with being a little more chilled out. There is plenty of variety of food in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but if you fancy a change there is a new a la carte restaurant above the childrens play area, all our family went for a meal there and is was gorgeous! The greatest thing about the Turquoise is that the staff, they are so friendly and i just have to give them a mention.... Freddie (photographer, who is brilliant!), Bar and food staff Ogun, Rose, Koray, Niyazi, and Osman, Assistant manager, each one of them always go that extra mile to make sure that your holiday is a good one that you wont forget!

we traveled with thompsons to this hotel it was our 2nd time here. you will find the staff very helpful they will bend over backward to help if you want something or need anything just ask. the hotel is kept very clean. the maids come in every day and some days you get your towels folded as animals etc left on your bed. there are a few problems the food is not always up to much and if you are there for more than a week it repeats the second week. the other problem is the wasps the hotel set up tables for your evening meal twice a week around the pool but you can't eat there because you will get stung this need to be sorted out we did complain but not sure if anything will be done. the hotel is in a good location and is very good for people who may use a wheelchair. we recommed using paradise beach it's a private beach they will come and collect you and bring you back (free) if you want to try it just go to the 1st bag shop on the right hand side of the high street ask for glad she will sort it out they give a good rate for changing your money to.

We loved the Turquoise Hotel. We did have problems when booking in as we had booked 2 rooms and were given one. This was eventually sorted out to the credit of the staff who were very obliging. The hotel and grounds were immaculate. We had no complaints regarding our room although basic they were kept clean by the wonderful staff. Breakfast was adequate and better than we have had before in Turkey, although sometimes the food could be cold but it most be diffuclt to cater fro so many. We tried the Terrace a la carte restaurant which opened whilst we there the food and service was excellent. We enjoyed the Barbecue night too.. The pool area was lovely. We personally loved chilling out on the benbags and big cushions every hotel should have such an area.!!The staff did a good job and once they got to know you they were friendly there were the odd exceptions mostly the restaurant staff- but isnt there always. Myr daughter had her beloved teddy taken which she has had from being young. The management tried to cheer her up and even bought her another although it wasnt the same it made her smile and we thought it was a nice gesture. Thank you!!
( Incidentally I hope the person who took it has all the bad luck that can be wished upon them for doing something so cruel !!!!sorry I am just hoping they read this review! ).

Try the Barbers at the hotel it is very reasonable

Olu Deniz is a perfect place and we loved the resort - it is a little walk into town but its worth it for the hotel. We didnt have a bad meal and all the restaurantswere clean. We would recommend Bello Gusto and Sugar & spice and the Buzz bar and The Madras indian all excellent. I disgree with the person saying you were hounded when walking into town they should try going to Spain or Greece. The people are trying to make a living and are pleasant enough give them a break!!!. We did a boat trip which cost £6 for adults and the kids went free well recommended. I would take GB£ as you got a better deal at the Supremarket and when booking trips etc.

We also used the freeee bus services to the beach Billys Bar and Seahorse just ring them and they will pick you up
All in all we had a fab time and would definitely go back but we have heard the hotel is to go all inclusive next year which would be a shame!!

I visted the Hotel Turquoise with my partner and my parents who had been to Turkey before. We arrived at the Hotel around six in the morning and were greeted by a friendly porter and receptionist and were shown to our rooms. As it seems is common place we were initially given to basement rooms. After seeing previous reviews I expected the basement rooms to be horrble and dark which they were not. The rooms we were given were next to the pool and had plently of light. The rooms were large and are clearly meant for families as they contain three beds. I would have been happy to stay in these rooms if it hadn't been for the fact the the hairdryer didn't work and my window didn't lock properly. When we mentioned this to reception they offered to move us the next day and allocated us two new rooms which had balconies.

The hotel itself is lovely. Very clean and is set in stunning surroundings. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and very glad to be at work which is entirely different from us moaning english!! Even the cleaners were pleasent and said hello to you each morning. One of the employers of guest relations sat talking one day to myself and my boyfriend for around two hours (with no agenda I might add) telling us about Turkey and the culture which was enjoyable. The hotel does have two large alsation dogs which wonder around freely. However they are incredibly friendly and docile and although they often sit by the pool bar they don't beg for food (which Iwas amazed at). We stayed half board and although Im relatively fussy with food I could always find something to eat and often went back for more. The first day we were there they had a barbecue and served food outside. This wouldnt have been a problem except the place suddenly seemed to swarm with wasps. They were hovering around the food and I did begin to get very annoyed (this was the first day so I was also very tired). I dreaded the next barbecue they held as I hate wasps. However by the time the next barbecue was held (which is twice weekly) the wasps had dissapeared and I was able to eat in peace! Drinks at the hotel in my opinion were reasonably priced..Cocktails are not very big however and you cant really taste much alcohol in them. As it seems is common place in turkish hotels everything is charged to your room and you pay off your bills at reception. Make sure you keep your receipts and ask the waiters to put the prices on to help you keep track. When I was stood at reception waiting to change rooms I saw two different people try to pay of their room bills only to be charged extra for a cheese and onion sandwhich for each room. If you dispute this it will normally be removed straight away. Now I;m not suggesting that this is a way to make extra money but it does seem a tad suspiscious.

We booked through Thomas Cook and had no problems with them. When booking excursions dont book with your rep. Inseatd visit one of the many booking companys down the main strip.Thomas Cook were charging £99 pp for the overnight Ephesus and Pamukkale trip which we wanted to do. When we visited on of the independent companies (Bloody Gorgeous) we were offering the same trip along with a further trip to Tlos and Sakilent Gorge and a boat trip for £55pp. We chose this and had no problems at all. We had an english speaking turkish guide on both outings who was very knowledgeable. Also Thomas Cook offer a Dalyann departure trip for the last day of you holiday. As our flight wasnt until 4.05am and we had to check out at 12:00pm we decided to do this. The trip involves a trip to the mud baths followedby lunch and a trip down the dalyann river to turtle beach> They then drop you off at a hotel in dalyann to wait until your transfer pick up. The day out itself was fine but the hotel we were dropped off at wasn't. The rooms were small and you had to pay for air con. The bedding was covered in grit and when I pulled the sheets back I found a dead fly. The owners didnt appear to speak english either. I would have expected thomas cook to use a better hotel than this.

Overall I had a fantastic holiday. Turkey is a beautiful country and olu deniz itself is stunning. The turquoise hotel is lovely and I would recomomend it to anyone. Im already looking for holidays in turkey for next year!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and as other,s have said it is a basic 3star hotel, having said that we were put in one of the so called basement rooms which had been redecorated and was quite big enough for our needs. The bathroom was clean with a large shower and adiquate storage. You get more room out side for sitting in the evening in these rooms and as we were traveling as a group we needed this extra space. The honeysuckle out side smelt lovely each morning and evening.Yes the rooms are a tad small but you don,t go on your hol,s to sit in your room all day, and they were cleaned each day and the towels although a little worn were changed every day .The staff were helpful and polite and the breakfast was more than enough. My only gripe is towels being put on sun beds early each day, you get fed up of having no sun bed and end up doing just what you most don,t like,[if you can,t beat them join them].Having said that we had a lovely holiday as the area in and around Olu Deniz is beautiful and lots of great places to eat, all very good. We never had a bad meal in any resturant the whole time. The hotel can,t be that bad as we are going again in sept and staying at this hotel again.

our room was tiny, had a double bed and 2 singles for the children- this was meant to be a family room! we were woken up by the smell of sewage. we were half board but went out to eat most of the time because the food was not good. the staff were very friendly and there were 2 german shepherd dogs that lived in the hotel and wondered around greeting the guests that was nice but quite bizare. for the last 3 nights of our holiday we stayed somewhere else as we couldn't stand this hotel any longer- the last 3 days of our holiday in olu deniz were great. be aware tha ton the road down to the beach you will be hounded by shop keepers, restaurant owners and excursion reps.
