“First time at the theTurk”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

We have holidayed in Olu Deniz many times and stayed in over a dozen hotels, but this was our first stay in the Turk.
We arrived after midnight, and were warmly greeted and welcomed by all.
The rooms are typical of all the hotels in Olu Deniz, a little on the small side, with a small balcony.
You would need to be young and in love, or on honeymoon, for both of you to get ready at the same time without having an argument!!
The hotel revolves around the square bar were most people congregate and socialise, you have to interact with the people sitting next to you and with the bar staff.
The majority of guests seemed to be regular visitors and they all seemed to know one and another, this may be the cause of earlier reviews about cliques, but the hotel must be doing something right if people keep booking to return.
Breakfast is typical Turkish fare but you can buy an English or butties if you require, the hotel menu is very good, and the food is of a good standard.
The drinks are a little pricey, but the exchange rate is good at the moment.
Having a fridge in your room is £10 per week, the safe £10 per week, and A/C is £28 per week
The bathroom door handle and the hair drier were broken in our bathroom we notified the reception desk, and both were repaired within 30 minutes - excellent service.
My wife had taken a diamond ring to get the stone setting re-arranged at a local jeweler (who we sponsor) when she went to get the ring she could not find it, and assumed she had left it at home. A couple of days later we went back to our room after a day out and the ring was there on the top of the dressing table , the chamber maid had pulled the dressing table out for cleaning and found the ring had fallen down the back of it - again excellent service and honesty.
We had already booked a different hotel for a holiday next May, I am now going to change the booking and re-book for the Turk, see you all then!!

Room Tip: book a room on the second floor

Have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at the Turk Hotel. Cannot praise Lily and Hussain enough. Arrived late due to the Cosmos transfer drive getting lost on the way but Hussain offered food if we needed it. Were given a garden room which was lovely but as we prefer to be higher we spoke with Lily the next morning and were moved without any fuss whatsoever. What followed was a great fortnight at the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. it is easy to see why people return here year after year(this was our second visit). Even bumped into some old friends we first met 3 or 4 years ago.....Ollie and Tanya if you read this....no more raki!!!!!! We would certainly recomend the Turk and are in fact making plans to return in June 2014.

Four of us, all 23 years old, stayed mid September this year and had the most amazing holiday. I could sit and write the longest review but all you need to know is the staff will do everything and anything for you, Lily and her family are so lovely and welcoming. Our 2 rooms were apart and as soon as Lily realised we were together immediately moved us to a room next door so we could be closer. The hotel is small and beautiful, with a very lovely and clean pool area! The meals for half board customers is a set menu which was brilliant every night, all home made and we never once felt like eating elsewhere. I would say that 80% of the guests we spoke to around the hotel, all varying ages, visited the Turk Hotel every year and had been doing so for years which I think shows just how much people think of it. As I said I could sit and write so much more but I don't think you could want anything more than what the Turk Hotel offers, would go back year after year, the prices for drinks and food are exactly the same as every other bar and they certainly had no problems with us going out every night so I don't believe the reviews which say otherwise to be honest. Visit the Turk Hotel and see for yourself!

Having just travelled for about 12+hours we pulled up outside the turk to find it in darkness (well it was05.00am) the bar is closed &Byram is asleep in reception (bless him).it turns out that we've arrived a day early and Lily is fully booked (my fault really).sometime later who should we see walking round the pool but our old friend June who went back to her room&brought us 2 coffees down&we explained to her why we were sat there.a short while after that Lilys mom&dad apeered &told us to use their room to freshen up and get some sleep.(show me a hotel that would do that for you).we got a room little while later& Lily said that later morning we could move into our old room after cleaners had been in.as always food there great well done Elvis Idont know why we take luggage cos everything is there .we forgot kettle&iron Lily said don't buy them next thing you know kettle&iron are provided.towels for sunbed or beach round the back at laundry room.needless to say we cant big up this little gem enough even though I get told every time David next time you are staying at Tulip(next door)

Myself and my wife have just returned from a ten day holiday at the Turk Hotel from 09/09/2013 and right from arrival we realised how friendly and enjoyable this Hotel is. We were welcomed by the owner Lily and waiter/ porter Byram who carried both our cases to our room. The rooms are basic but very comfortable.Lily and her staff work very hard and there is always a happy smiling face from all of the staff. The cleaners and waiters/ bar staff work very long hours and always asking " How are you? ". The rooms are cleaned every day and you only need to say you do not want room cleaned and they happy not to do so.

We were B & B guests and ate lunch at the hotel many times and was very enjoyable, although we never ate thier in the evening we always used the bar and Lily would joke with us that we like our " Favorite Table."

There is good family atmosphere in the hotel, not just with the staff but with the many returners who Lily has a very good raport with. There was always good banter between the staff and guests. Its proves how good the Hotel is for the amount of returners there are. Some return 2-3 times a year.

We didn't actually stay here but visited olu Deniz at the same time as relatives who often visit the Turk - we spent loads of time at their hotel and Lily (lovely manageress) and her husband didn't mind at all, in fact they welcomed us as if we were family.

Bar and food were cheap but good quality - the spag Bol is lovely! On our last day lily even got staff to make us sandwiches for our journey and didn't charge us.

Pool area is big with loads of sunbeds and the bar area was nice to sit around and chat with everyone.

Location is good as its central but you can't hear the noise from the strip at night.

Considering staying here if we visit next year with the rest of the family in tow!!

Thank you Lily, Hussain, Sabri, Ramos etc for being so lovely x
