Hotel management blank you if you do not have evening or lunch meals at the hotel. We went B & B so why would we eat there? So much better to eat in town at the Toscana and Phill`s bar. Hotel prices for food are not resort competitive, if they were more people might "stay in" and eat. Rowdy guests returning 3/4 in the morning and management do nothing to stop it. Ok, so you`re on holiday....but you still should respect other guests. Penalised if you don`t have kids......we asked for a fridge but were bluntly told were only for families with kids! Are couples without kids not entitled to cold drinks then? Nice! Thought for one moment one of our passports was lost when we went back to get them after they`d been "checked" by management. Very haphazardly chucked in a draw and took long time to find. We know Turkish hotel breakfasts are minimal at best but the breakfast here diminished as the stay progressed. One good point, the maids were pleasant and worked hard on your room. Had booked to go to the Turk in september before we went in july. Upon our return home we very quickly cancelled and rebooked a diff` hotel. Wouldn`t go to the Turk again, no way. Don`t understand the rave reviews this place gets. Been to the Orange and Majestic hotels in oludeniz and both are superior.

Room Tip: Whatever room you have doesn`t make up for being blanked by the management or having inconsiderate...

Conveniently located Hotel Turk provided an ideal base for our 2 week holiday on a half board basis. Our room was adequate but not great, larger than I expected , clean but not spotless and shabby in places . Good shower with lots of hot water, rooms cleaned daily including towel/bedding change. The standard of food was good, breakfast is the typical Turkish style with the opportunity to order English style if you wish at a very reasonable price. We went half board, you get the daily special which consists of soup or once a week we had Garlic Mushrooms, the main courses included Chicken Shish, Meatballs, Moussaka and Beef stew which we had 4 times!!!but saying that it was all very tasty and after choosing to eat out one night we ate at The Turk for the rest of our stay. Sick of soup we did order a different starter sometimes and paid extra.Bar prices were reasonable, and yes they do request that you don't bring food and drink in from outside but then so do many other hotels, if you want to save money then go self catering. Sometimes we did have water that we purchased from outside but nothing was ever removed from our room or anything said to us.The hotel prices were okay, Magnums were about the same price as in shops. The staff are fantastic, overseen by Lily it felt like a real family hotel and despite working long hours the staff were always friendly ,polite and very helpful with the exception of the Bar Manager person who was quite arrogant and would choose to ignore you when he felt like it.We usually went to the beach rather than sit around the pool, 21 lira for 2 sun beds and parasol, we noticed that people did put towels on sun beds around the pool but even mid morning there were plenty available, I guess it is just luck of the draw! We were disturbed by noise most nights, not from the surrounding bars but from other hotel guests shouting and slamming doors. If you had a big problem I am sure Lily would sort it out for you.
We keep ourselves to ourselves but this never impacted on how we were treated by Lily or her staff, we were made to feel welcome at all times.
Top Tips: Go bed & breakfast, if you want a better room book privately( lily will sort out transfers ) if you have a problem speak to Lily and give her chance to sort it out.

Room Tip: Book independently and make specific request with hotelier

I have stayed in various hotels in Turkey, but this was my first half board experience, I usually stay all inclusive. Heres my feedback;

no hand towels in rooms just bath towels, NO pool towels

very enthusiatic maids who take things from your room if they think they are rubbish even if they are not... all my empty travel bottles were taken and my daughters duty free vodka was taken out of its bag and box, despite it being a present to go home with.

Air conditioning £4 per day

Safe box in wardrobe £10 per week

internet £10 per week, code entered by receptionist so choose device wisely... or beg for the code like we did and eventually got. THE WIFI DOES NOT REACH THE HOTEL BEDROOMS we were not told this until after we purchased it.

plenty of hangers room 112

tiny balconies

Great bathroom, clean, good shower cubicle, excellent strong shower with no hot water shortages

food & Drink purchased outside hotel will attract stern telling off from Lily the owner

Half Board evening meal was a set menu, so any dislikes cause slight problems as there seems to be little alternatives. so a mushroom allergy and vegetarians not really catered fo. we ate out 4 out of 7 nights due to set menu option, would advise to go B&B

No problems around pool with sunbeds, inflatables left by other guests, incredible clean well kept and warm pool.

Lily, Hussein and Ikra speak really good English, staff less so.

Turkish night has to be paid for even if you're half board... lots of people grumbled about this, seemed it was either pay up or eat out. but saying that the BBQ was the best meal I ate there.

Bar dinks not too expensive, for pop I bought bottles out of the fridge 1 litre for 7.5 ytl (and they give you a glass with ice) , or a glass for 6ytl.... crazy eh?

brilliant location had no noise problems at night, the main strip calms down at 12 as the police patrol and music is turned down

comfy beds but only 1 pillow, we rolled up the blanket and used that as a second pillow

plenty of storage

many many return visitors who are regarded as friends,

** A TIP IS TO BOOK DIRECT WITH LILY THEY TREAT YOU BETTER IF YOU DO!!

Thank you lily and your family and staff for another great holiday. As always you can never do enough for us.

For anyone wishing to visit its a must, I have seen some extremely negative comments below! My husband is black and not once in all the years we have stayed with lily have we received a racist comment ever! Also the sun lounger comment is rubbish if there is ever a lack of sun loungers lily will make sure more are brought out to accomodate her guests. There is a sign that says no food from outside but on our last stay, another hotel we have previously stayed at gave us a box of fruit which we brought in the hotel and lily washed and put on a plate for us so I cannot see lily having a problem simple manners and courtsey asking if you can bring it in is all that's needed. If you were running a business I'm sure you would be able to understand....you wouldn't go to Nobu and take your own sushi would you!!!! Lily you your family and team do a great job keep it up.

We had our 5th holiday in oludeniz and the Turk Hotel in June , fantastic holiday , thanks to Lily and staff, I read the bad report the Turk received and have to say Lily will do her best to please all guests, but there are some you will never please, we were at the hotel when the ethnic guests were there and did not see or hear any racist remarks,,, and anyone who sat at the bar knows the barmans name is Sabri,, also very friendly and helpfull , we will be back,

I am in shock at the comment added on the 12th July. I honestly can't believe any of what is said. Lily and her staff are the most helpful friendliest people who cant do enough to keep their guests happy. I have taken my children there on many occasions and lily and all the staff are fantastic with them, lily has even looked after one of our children while we went for dinner. This hotel is fantastic, so much so that me and my husband married there 3 years ago and return there year after year because we are so comfortable there.
