“Lovely, clean, friendly family run hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2010

The staff were really welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. It is a family run business which made it a genuinely relaxing environment. We went half- board and were really pleased with the food. We wanted to eat traditional Turkish food and that is exactly what we got! Lilly (the owner) ensured that we had delicious Turkish food every night of our stay and even asked us what types of food we liked so that she could plan menu's accordingly.
The bar/ restaurant was welcoming and the staff made a big effort to look after you.
The bedrooms were well-sized and cleaned every day. We didn't spend much time by the pool as we preferred the beach, but it was well looked after and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The hotel was perfectly situated and all amenities were within easy reach.
There were only 4 hotels open in the resort as it was the "low season". We met people who were guests at the other hotels who were really disappointed with their hotels and jealous of how good ours sounded! On our last night The Turk Hotel held a "Turkish Night" which we invited our new friends to- they all enjoyed the night and felt that we had definitely struck gold when we stumbled across The Turk Hotel.
I would avoid Oludeniz between May- Oct as I can imagine it becomes very touristy. When we went in April the weather was perfect (warm enough to lie on the beach, but not too hot to stop you exploring), and it wasn't too overcrowded which meant you could really enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as peace and quiet.

Never before have we stayed in a place which made us feel so at home! The welcome was as warm as the weather!! Lily, Adam, Malcom and the rest of the staff made every effort possible to make us feel very very comfortable and we left after our weeks stay feeling refreshed, relaxed and like we had become extended family to these good people!!
We stayed bed and breakfast, the breakfast was traditional Turkish, cheese, meat, tomatoes, cucumber, eggs, jams, honey, tea etc... with the option of a full english if we wanted it, but we never felt we needed it. We couldnt have wanted better.
The evenings in the Hotel bar, while chilly at this time of the year, were very relaxed and friendly. Lots of dancing, whatever music you want, cocktails of all description and open as late as you want to stay up.
You really got the feeling that if you requested a fish finger sandwich at 1.30 in the morning, one would miraculously appear! (If fish finger sandwiches are your thing)
The people running the hotel work like a family, they are an excellent team. Lily, the manager, never takes her eye off the ball, always aware of whats happening and making sure people are happy from organising personalised drivers and day trips to making sure the sleepy children were comfy in the quite areas of the bar while mum and dad finished their meals.... and she makes a mean Mai Tai Cocktail!!
Adam, the barman/waiter... general front man... what can I say! I cant imagine we will lose touch anytime soon... myself and my partner feel we made a firm friend. He was fun to chat to, professional but very entertaining! He refused to go to bed on our last night despite or transfer not being until 2am... hes a really great guy and a massive asset to the team!!
Malcom.. otherwise known as the gofer .... a mine of local information, nothing is too much trouble, any problems he will sort them out or he will find someone else who can :-) ... he does exactly what the title suggests! ... and his stories are great!
The location of the hotel is perfect, 3 or 4 minutes walk from the stunning Olu deniz beach with all its shops and resteraunts and a 10 - 15 minute stunning walk to the famous Lagoon. Peaceful and tranquil... I dont know where else in the world would be more idylic.
The Dolomus Buses run every few minutes from the beach... 5 minutes to the lively Hisaronu (ok it ws quiet while we were there, but we were early, when its all open it will be a buzzing place) .... and about 15 minutes from Fethiye, with its fantastic harbour and bustling Tuesday Maket.
Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone at all.... not for its polish and poshness, the Turk Hotel has no airs and graces, its clean, comfortable, friendly and perfect place to relax.

This was our 1st visit to Turkey and loved it. The staff at the Turk Hotel could not have been more welcoming. .We had a lot of great entertaining nights with Lily, Rambo, Ken, and Maria.

We ate out in Olu Deniz most nights but can honestly say that the few times we ate in the Turk the food was excellent and would compare favourably with any other resturant in the town.

The hotel was ideally located for an easy walk to the beach and there are plenty of places to organise sightseeing trips. Usually on holiday we would hire a car but we could not find hire cars available, we were able to get arround quite well using organised tours and local dolmus's.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday - all thanks to Lily and the staff at the Turk Hotel.

Lily we hope to see you all again soon Reg and Hazel,

We have now stayed three times at The Turk and it is without doubt a home from home. Lily and the team are fantastic and they are always willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is great, the liver and sausage is excellent!

The new showers are great and unlike a lot of other hotels they are always looking to improve the rooms and the hotel in general.

All the best Lily and Team from Wayne + Chris

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Turk for the half term week at the end of October. We couldn't rate this hotel highly enough. The staff are great, especially Rambo who made us feel right at home, the rooms are small but clean, had a small balcony, and for £20 per night (oncluding breakfast!), excellent value. The rooms also looked like they had just had new bathrooms put in as they were pretty modern. The hotel held a Turkish night when we were there with lots of entertainment and a superb buffet. Again, great value for money at around £10 each. The weather during this last week in October wasn't great, it rained a couple of days, but it was still warm and a welcome break from the cold of the UK.

Stayed at the Hotel Turk with my 14 year old son in the last week of August (sadly, mum had to be at work that week .....) Having arrived in the early hours of the morning we were shown to our room by the man we later learned is the legendary Rambo (a top bloke who kept us amused and entertained throughout). Not entirely happy with the room allocated to us (in the basement and not in great condition). Did not prove to be a problem however as later that morning the boss, Lily, moved us to a room that was much more appealing and had clearly, in common with the majority of rooms in the hotel it seems, been recently refurbished. Good beach (although sand a little sharp), a few minutes walk away, plenty of bars, wide variety of cuisine in some very good restaurants and plenty of varied and interesting excursions on offer. Didn't go for any of them ourselves - went only as far as the Blue Lagoon - but had a tremendously chilled time of it by the pool, on the beach and swimming in the sea. Suffice to say we had a really relaxed time in the company of some great people - staff and fellow guests. A big, big thank you to Lily and her family, Rambo, the lovely Maria, Ken, Ali and all for making us feel so at home. I do not think we could have chosen a better place to stay in Olu Deniz - we hope to come again one day.

Just returned from another great stay at Turk Hotel in Olu Deniz. This year the pool has been renewed and is gorgeous . Also the bathrooms have been refurbished and have extra large showers and are beautifully tiled.
Had a great Turkish Night with a hot and cold buffet delicious !! glass of wine, belly dancer, hip hop /break dancers (excellent ) and fire dancer all for just £10....what a bargain.
Lily and Rambo were great as always ,lots of fun and laughter . Nothing is too much trouble for them I think some British hoteliers should learn to be more like them.
