Great location, friendly staff,(1st name terms with all of them in the fist couple of days), epecially Turcan behind the bar, great personality always friendly and a nice man to have a conversation with and good at his job. Pool area nice, always a sunbed anytime of day some in the sun some in the shade just what you need on a hot day and a lovely clean pool. Only B & B so cannot comment on the evening meals but they were presented very nice, breakfast's were nice especially with an omlette thrown in once a week. Rooms were nice and cleaned every day, we have been to olu deniz before, but will definately return to the Karbel beach, Turcan hope your there when we return,we will find you. (French 210)

Room Tip: blocks 1 & 2 old, blocks 3 & 4 new

Well where do I start, me an my partner stayed here for a week after we booked with the co op which we will never do again ither compleat nightmare. When we arrived it was early in the morning we were not pleasently welcomed we were just given a key a few pieces of paper and shown to our room as soon as we started walking there we knew we were being lead to the dungen, we are never people to complain but it was a joke the young lad opened the door the first thing we see a hole in the celing, the shower was filthy, you couldn't move on the balcony, an to top it off we had two twin beds that we couldn't push together, you couldnt swing a cat in there if you tried. We laughed it off at the time got up in the morning feeling optimistic and went to complain the man at reception was rude and didn't seem to help, after half an hour he came to the room with a cleaner an a bottle of wine to apologize which was fair enough but it should have been cleaned to begin with! I've stayed in olu deniz a few times and paid less and had beautiful hotels we thought this would be better. The maid did come in and clean nearly every day which was nice, the food was terrible we only ate there once the whole holiday there is so many better places to eat on the strip, an the hotel card is a con you cannot pay cash for any drinks you have to put it on a card a tab if u like an pay at the end obviously so you don't know what your spending we didn't use it atall an drank else where. Also around the pool you are not allowed any of your own food or drink we had a bottle of water from the shop next door as soon as I opened it to take asip the guard was straight over telling us to take it to the room which was just rediculas this was our final straw at the hotel we literally just slept there we coulnt wait to get out, when we left there was no goodbye thankyou or anything. Rant over! Lol. Olu deniz itself though Is beautiful we loved the place the beaches are like paradice. It is my 5th time I would still go back just defiantly not this hotel

Loved this friendly, little hotel. Great location and very clean. The food served as the main course wasnt brilliant but the variety of salads etc in the meze more than made up for it. The free shuttle service to The Blue Lagoon was excellent as the main beach was very pebbly and the sea extremley rough! Would highly recommend swimming shoes if you're brave enough to tackle the waves and go in! Once you pass the pebbles it's is lovely but not suitable for small children. The sun loungers were also expensive on the beach too. A charge is made for the lounger and a separate charge for the umbrella! At the Paradise Beach (where the free shuttle bus takes you) it cost just 5euro's for both and the food and service there were both friendly and excellent.
The pool area was very clean and there was never a shortage of sun beds. The hotel staff could also not be faulted in their willingness to help. In fact, im hoping to book and stay at this hotel again next year!

Room Tip: Although various other people have described the rooms on the lower floor as "the dungeons" i actually found my room to be very quiet and had a lovely view of the side gardens!

Despite booking & confirming our early early arrival, my wife, baby son & I were told on arrival at 03-30 that we would have to either wait for at least 8 hours in reception or go & find another hotel for the night as there were no rooms available. The manager refused to speak to me or to come & see me (either then or the following day) and despite showing proof of my booking & confirmation we were told it was not the hotel's fault and there was nothing they could do. We were not offered anything to drink or any blankets for my baby son and had to endure cats running around off the street whilst trying to get him to sleep.
When we eventually got into a room the cot was tatty, no pillowcase, dirty bedding & a mattress that didnt fit. The room was shabby with handles missing & a hole in the shower where a fist sized piece of rubber sealant had fallen ou (and later glued back), and nothing like the pictures on the website.
The staff were initially not particularly welcoming & several rude and ignorant and most unlike any other Turkish hotel we have ever stayed at. We ere promised a room change the following day & told to pack ready to move but then told no better room was available until the following day. When we finally moved the room was quite nice though despite complaining every day that there was no hot water in the morning, nothing was done.
The food was either bland or spicy and though to be fair some of it was very good, there was absolutely nothing for children except rice or chips. There was no drink provided with the meal unlike many other hotels we have stayed at and at half board the drinks were not the cheapest in the area, despite promising to be the best value in town.
Despite having various contact numbers for problems, there was no representation by Libero Tours throughout our stay, despite being promised that a rep would come and see us, and I had to get the hotel to try numerous different contact numbers for their reps, only to be told each time that it was someone else's area. Onthebeach.co.uk also didn't want to know and on the whole we had our holiday spoiled for at least the first 4 days due to these and other problems, not least with arrogant, surly waiters and a general manager who until i was forced to make a scene in reception, passed a message back that i would have to go to his other hotel to see him!!!
Despite contacting onthebeach.co.uk to complain, we were told that there was nothing they could do

Room Tip: Ask for block 3 or 4 as these are the newer blocks with modern rooms

Stayed at the Karbel Beach for 2 weeks from the 15th to 29th August 2011, great hotel close to the beach and shops, we were put in the old block 1 at first until i told them id paid for a garden view then they moved us to block 3 which is a lot better the old block is a bit worse for wear but my 2 lads stayed in it and they still enjoyed the holiday if they spent a bit of money refurbishing the old block this hotel would get another star, food in the hotel is very good but limited choice it was usually chicken or beef but cooked really well and very tasty, breakfast is the traditional Turkish one of boiled eggs, olives, sultanas, different cheeses, ham and salami, there were also cerials and toast, the coffee was excellent and you could have a English cooked breakfast for 5 lira. the staff are great especially Omar on reception and the lads behind the bar, and the maids leave a nice flower display on your bed on the first change of linen. the views in Oludeniz are breathtaking mountains all around you with paragliders swooping down and the lagoon is awsome dont pay to go in go to one of the free beachbars the hotel ring a free bus and it collects you and takes you back but you can walk it in ten minutes if you want to. the lagoon is as warm as bathwater with fish swimming around you and is that salty i dont think you can drown you just float the minute you relax. ive been going to Majorca for years and cant believe what ive missed by not trying Turkey ill be going back every year now i just hope they dont go into the Euro or it will kill it. Mick from Derby.

Room Tip: Avoid the old block
