“Lovely, friendly, spotlessly clean - well worth the money”
Reviewed 19 July 2009

Just returned from Belcehan Beach hotel. The holiday company mixed the hotel up as we were originally meant to stay in its sister hotel the Becehan Deluxe. Although the Deluxe looked very nice we were more than happy with the Belcehan Beach. It was very clean, all staff were friendly, maids came in room everyday and the pool and bar area was cleaned and hosed down every night. We were glad we didn't pay the extra for the Deluxe. All rooms looked onto the pool area and as there are only 33 rooms it was quiet and everyone chatted around the pool. Getting sunbeds weren't a problem and if I was returning to this resort I would most definitely book this hotel. I would only recommend B&B though as there were so many lovely restaurants to eat out at we felt that half board didn't suit us.

This was the second time my daughter and I have stayed at this hotel and we found it excellent again. The staff are friendly, helpful and so hardworking. We have grown to love the traditional Turkish breakfast - I even tried the olives this year! Rooms and pool area are kept very clean and the poolside bar is brilliant. Frequent changes of linen and towels and even flowers on the bed one day! We enjoy the peacefulness and chilled atmosphere, without blaring poolside entertainment and made friends with several guests. I think the friendliness of the Turkish people rubs off on us British! We were also pleased to find several Turkish families staying which speaks volumes doesn't it!?!

Firstly I would say it is not what I would call a 'beach' hotel as it is 1/4 mile to the nearest beach and 1/2 mile to the blue lagoon, but having said that it is a pleasant walk.
The staff are very good in this hotel we asked for extra pillows and they were there within the hour and when a bulb blew in our room it was fixed without us even reporting it.
They use a type of credit card (you get with your key) to buy anything in the hotel such as food, drink & safe deposit and you settle up when you leave.
The rooms are clean if a little small with hairdryer, air conditioning and TV but only with BBC world news.
Oludeniz is a nice resort if a little small we thought that the food was good but nothing to recommend until we tried Captain Hooks who do wonderful fish, try it baked in salt it great.
While there you should get a dumus to Hisaronu (2.5 TL) which leave every 5mins from the beach front.Hisaronu is a bigger resort with more places to eat & have a drink and I would say try the Talk of the town drag show (£20) with a meal. Good night out and you should have a laugh while on holiday.
The only bad things that I can say about this holiday is that most of the beaches are shingle and not sand but that can not spoil such a good place.
Prices :- Beach beds & umbrella 18TL in lagoon 16.5 TL on beach.
Entrance to Lagoon 3.50TL
Dulmus to Hisaronu 2.5TL.

This is about the Belcehan Beach Hotel NOT Belcehan Deluxe Hotel Although they are sister hotels the Belcehan Beach is the more friendly.

The rooms were very clean and the bathroom had a shower cibicle which prevented us going for a paddle after using the shower.

Breakfasts were the usual Turkish breakfast with a choice of 2 cereals, eggs, cheeses, honey, jams, bread and cakes with juice and tea or coffee (as much as you want). The pool bar served an excellent choice of snacks.

The swimming pool was kept very clean and there were plenty of sun beds available.
The staff were very helpful and very friendly especially Ramazan and Harun who run the pool bar. I was taken ill one evening and the management couldn't do enough to help me, which was greatly appreciated.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and made a lot of new friends and will, hopefully, return again next year.

First things first, this review is about the Belcehan Beach Hotel and not the Belcehan Deluxe Hotel. The two hotels are sister hotels and I've stayed in them both. The deluxe is more modern, larger rooms and better bath rooms but the beach hotel is friendlier and more fun.

Rooms are clean and compact, bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin (not bath, that's the deluxe hotel). We thought it was a bit noisey for the first few nights. we realised the bottom of the window had no pane and was a mesh film which explained the noise. noone in the hotel bothered to tell you that you could slide the upper pane down thus closing the window!

Breakfasts are the standard turkish fair. Pool bar did reasonable bar snacks like burgers, pizza and baked potatoes. You were given a card and charged the food to your room - be careful as you can run up a tab pretty quickly! The staff were friendly and worked very hard.

What we really enjoyed about this hotel was that it was smaller, more intimate and friendlier that it's posher sister hotel across the road. we made loads of friends here and everyone would chat and swap holiday tips and stories. it's also much cheaper than it's more expensive sister. you could also get sun beds no problem too!

Any questions, get in touch.

Pease dont get confused. This report is for the Belcehan Beach NOT the Belcehan Deluxe.
Belcehan Beach Hotel is a fantastic small intimate hotel with just 33 rooms. Great for a quiet get away for couples, no children when we were there, just very chilled out couples. There is a good sized swimming pool, although it did strike cold initially but was welcome when the temperature hit top 40's. Didnt have an evening meal there but snacks at lunch time were tasty and the cake trolley at 3.30 - well what can i say!
Absolutely spotless and clean, and the bathroom had an independent shower cubicle, which meant you didnt have to go for a paddle if you wanted the toilet after having a shower.
The guys are great that work there - Harry - Ramazan and the rest of them cannot do enough for you. Had a problem with the loo one day and it was fixed within couple of hours.
Breakfasts were better than most hotels in Turkey, boiled eggs one day, scrambled the next, different cheeses, meats and fried potatoes, two different cereals, choice of lime or orange juice, toast, honey, yoghurt, jams, pastries, cakes abundant tea/coffee, I could go on but you get the picture.
Plenty of restaurants to choose from, but our favourites are The Secret Garden - turn right out of the hotel, first right and it is at the bottom of the road. Lovely setting and nice food. Also The Suntrap in Hisaronu is our favourite -straight to the end of the main road and it lies just to the left - very good prices, excellent service and great food.
First day back in UK and Im already looking to book for September (Hope they are not full).
Cannot praise the hotel enough - Having been to Hisaronu and Olu Denix in excess of 12 times, I can honestly say this is one of the cleanest and friendliest hotels I have stayed in. Rooms are a good size and very clean, aircon included in price, great staff, and good breakfasts. Enough said.

Recently returned from a weeks stay at the Belcehan Delux Hotel,Olu Deniz..We arrived early hours of the morning to be greeted by somebody from the hotel in pitch blackness,he took our luggage from us and led us to our room he then used the light from his mobile to find the key lock.Upon entering our room we were pleasantly surprised it was rather large with lots of storage space, carpeted and very clean. The bathroom was top notch with a bath and shower that had sliding doors over the bath. The only down side was the slight smell of sewage but if you put the fan on for a while the smell goes. After crawling into bed we noticed how noisy the road was as our balcony faced out towards it so after a restless sleep decided to speak to our rep in the morning. In the morning we could see how nice clean and tidy the whole hotel was, from the day we got there to when we left cleaning was always in progress. We did ask about moving rooms and were told we would have to wait until Mon to see but Sun night was quieter traffic wise and we decided to stay put as the rooms facing the pool you could here the music from the bar.The only bad point was the rule of not bringing any food/drink into the hotel. We did bring the odd can/water in as cheaper, just make sure you take rubbish out with you as they bill it to room.
We stayed b+b as the reviews we had read said the hotel was basic for food and to be honest we found the breakfast enough for us and there are so many good food places in the town and although people have said its not cheap we found it to be reasonable enough. The best place we found to eat was the Buzz Bar,although slightly more expensive the food+cocktails are great and the view is lovely. In the week we stayed we didn't have a bad meal.
The resort itself is quite english but still has some of its charm and the views are lovely. There is also plenty to do and if you go end of Sept/beginning of Oct it is still warm and not so busy so the trips are cheaper and not so packed. We would definately recommend the trip to Dalyan for the mud baths and the paragliding. We booked ours through Focus and Sky Sports as it is cheaper than your rep.Sky Sports is more expensive(paragliding)but you get english speaking instructors, longer in the air as you go from a higher point and more insurance(if anything was to go wrong).
We would go back Belcehan Delux as spotlessly clean/tidy

  • Liked — location, cleanliness
  • Disliked — slightly noisy road side, stupid rule about no food/drink brought in from outside
