We stayed at the majestic for 10 days in 2011. We could not fault the resort, one of the best resorts we have visited. The hotel on the other hand was awful!

We arrived in the dead of night to find a tiny dirty room with the most uncomfortable beds. Upon waking we found the balcony door was broke and wouldn't close. Considering this was a ground floor room it was a little scary when we had to wait days for it to be fixed. We asked to move rooms but apparently there was no other rooms.

The facilities were terrible. Our balcony was tiny right next to the noisy bar and pool. The pool was small and crammed with people. We got no sleep due to awful beds and loud music from the bar all night.

The worst of it was the hostility from the men who worked there. After complaining about the broken room door which wouldn't close we were made to feel unwelcome. The owner was very sleezy and very intimidating regularly sitting with a large group of men at the entrance. I felt very uncomfortable.

I know you get what you pay for and I don't expect luxury from budget hotels. I do however expect basic cleanliness, security of locked doors and un-hostile staff.

Just returned from our second visit this year to the Majestic and it once again did not disappoint.

Stayed in room 205 to the rear of the Hotel overlooking the tower hotel pool. Our last visit in June we occupied the front of the hotel.
I read a few negative comments but remember this is not a 5* Hotel so don't expect luxuries that 5* offers.
The Majestic offers a clean room where you can get your head down, a dining room that offers a decent Breakfast and if your on half board, a simple choice of food for evening meal.
It's location is ideal, not too far from the beach but a pleasant 5 min stroll to the front. There are several bars in the proximity all offering good food. Try the Magic Garden for a good evening entertainment.
The Dolmus stops right outside the hotel to take you to nearby resorts and to the Tuesday market in Fethiye, well worth a visit.
I shall return again next year simply because the place is relaxing and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices in the Hotel are no different to those in nearby bars.

Room Tip: Top or second floor at the front or rear.

This is a place all about expectations! The accommodation is very basic and I would happily use this hotel as a 'base' for exploring Turkey but nothing more.

Hotel Majestic is a representation of the Turkish culture in that there is a well worn charm, but scratch the surface to reveal a rather unpleasant side.

The rooms are incredibly small with just enough floor space for a bed but don't expect to be able to walk around it. The fittings in the room are glued together with awful 1970's cabinets and the electrics are a game a Russian roulette! The character is further enhanced by the 6' mould growing in a foot wide strip up the wall and I would recommend NOT looking too hard around the shower. If you are unlucky you may find the source of the black tar seeping from underneath the tiles.

The room cleaning is a joke. The maid has a bamboo brush which is wafted around the place every day. Please do not look under any beds, and the bathroom has literally not been cleaned during our stay, or anyone else's. Without a doubt I would seriously consider bringing some bathroom cleaner for your stay.

WiFi and electrical connections are adequate and general staff helpfulness is good.

Considering bringing children? Be very careful! There are no physical guards around the pool which is fine as you should watch the kids yourself however, do not use the playground!!!

Children's swings have a bare exposed 240v cable nailed to it and there are several exposed nails on the slide! Shocking!

The food is basic. Very very basic.

in summary, this is a great hotel for single lads to use as a base for paragliding or exploring the area. Nothing more.

My package tour is with jet2.com which is another story. Since our 28yr old Boeing bounced onto the runway at Dalaman we have not seen a rep (except the young girl that met us at the airport and bailed out of the coach/rollercoaster 10mins down the road).

Good points: Decent location, just a short walk into the strip or to the beach. Excellent maid service daily. Fresh towels daily. Some brilliant staff, especially Hassan (Harry) and most of the reception staff are welcoming and professional.

Bad points: Location of hotel is sandwiched between two hills which means you get the sun later in the morning (and it goes in earlier in the afternoon). A silly point but relevant for any Sun worshippers. Pool is freezing. Food, other than breakfast, is repetitive and bland. I wouldnt advise half board.

I visited this hotel for the second year in a party of five. I noticed prices have been hiked alot. Also you are now charged for air con and a fridge (£4 each per day). Be careful of the payment system as we all noticed items added onto our tabs that we hadnt had. We also experienced this last year and so ensured we paid our bills daily which meamt we could challenge any 'mistakes.'

Concerns: some of the staff are persistent in their sexual advances of female guests. Yusef Gonen was persistent in trying to get one of our party to sleep with him. This included phone calls to her room, knocking at her room door etc. When his advances were rejected he proceeded to create an uncomfortable environmemt for our party, ignoring us or making snide remarks. I felt this was entirely unprofessional and would advise some retraining for him and some management on customer service.

I will not return to this hotel. I didnt like the changes made by new management this year, nor the treatment of paying customers who reject sexual advances of staff. I also dislike the payment system for food and drink which, in my experience, is unreliable.

Have just returned from a 5 day break at this hotel, wish we could have stayed longer. This was my fifth time in Olu Deniz and I have stayed at a different hotel each time. My daughter and I felt safe and comfortable and would not hesitate to use this hotel again. The staff seemed very pleasant and friendly but as we were on such a short trip we did not get time to get to know them very well. Our room was fine, clean and no real problems, our safe deposit box was broken but this was not a real problem as we used one near reception which was larger than the room box and my daughters ipad fitted in which it would not have done in the one in the room. The shower could have been more efficient as the water flow was slow but we managed and it was clean. Our room 208 had a nice outlook over the pool but the balcony was very small, just about fitted two chairs but with no room to move. I am already booked for May next year but once again staying at a different hotel. If you are booked at this hotel then just go an enjoy it. Must recommend the boat trips, we did three different ones in 5 days and would have done more if we could have fitted them in, the 2 of us had a trip with lunch and our drinks and spent less that £30 in total, great value. Our favourite was booked with Pioneer on the Cherry Tree boat The Robin, but Pioneer's own small boat was great as well and the captain Toona was really nice, could have done with some chill out music and it would have been perfect. The best meal we had was at Bella & Gusto on the seafront, fantastic food and great service. Can't wait for May next year.

Just returned from a last minute cheap break in the sun to Hotel Majestic. This is a 3 star hotel that is clean and basic, but needs a little upgrading, certainly in the bathroom. The room 305 was in a good location away from the bar with a nice view towards the pool, and surrounding hills, but balcony was tiny, and barely room for two people to sit there. The breakfast was underwhelming but adequate, the lunchtime snack menu was quite varied, but there are lots of places to eat just outside.
The pool area was kept tidy and we didn't have a problem getting a sun bed at this time of the year, but I am sure it would be impossible in a busy season unless you were up at the crack of dawn! Although the weather was glorious the pool was freezing, so hardly anyone went in, only the very hardy!!! Which was a shame.
The staff are very friendly, Mehmet and his team try very hard to make everyone feel welcome, and there is a very friendly atmosphere here.
This is a 3star hotel, which is clean and basic, so don't expect anything more than that. The location is good with a straight walk down the road to the beach. The strip with all the shops and restaurants is also near by. I would recommend this hotel for an inexpensive short break.

Room Tip: First floor rooms overlooking the pool are good, corner rooms have two balconies.

Just back from the Majestic ,had two very relaxing weeks here, friendly staff especially Hussan,Basic hotel large rooms and very clean, towels changed daily ,beds twice a week.only one problem was that some rooms don't have a safe and you have to use one in lobby reception which is a pain as you have to keep getting the master key.5 mins walk to the strip and beach .
recommend you try Sultan Ahmed and Blue star restaurants great food .
You must go down to the beach before sunset and have a drink in one of the bars on the balcony, great views and you can watch the paraglidders coming in to land.(watch your head)
Would recommend this hotel and will be going back next September. Sharon and Barry

Room Tip: rooms at the rear are cooler but poor view.dont need air con. in Sept so don't pay for it.£4 /ng...
