We stayed at Majestic Hotel in August 2010 and it was not good. Overpriced and dirty. The staff are very much after tips as if it was their main income. I would not blame them but it made our stay uncomfortable. Room was never cleaned just towels replaced. Bedsheets replaced every 3 days. So if you can put up with this service and are not too fussy about cleanliness and noise then you may be just ok. Oh.. And the breakfast, you won't eat after third day-you would have had enough of it.

I stayed there for 10 nights in May 2010.
Hotel receptionist can't speak English.
Was very difficult to find out any informations.
The room was clean.
Food was very poor.
Bar & reataurant staff were very friendly.
Great location.
Good value.
I would stay there again if I ever go back there but I won't eat there.
There are plenty of nice places to eat in Olu Deniz.

My wife and i stayed at the Majestic last week in Sept and first week in Oct, arrived at the hotel 1am, dumped our bags and joined a few people at the bar. Fatma and Memet were on duty and made us very welcome, left for bed around 4am. Our room overlooked the pool / bar area which was perfect, balcony was quite small but enough room for two chairs. The maid cleaned our room every day. Breakfast was typical Turkish, chef on hand to cook pancakes, fried eggs etc as you wanted, no complaints about the food at all. The hotel gardens were well kept and the pool area was always spotless. Position of the hotel is excellent, small shop right outside, and within a five minute walk you are onto the main strip with bars, shops etc. We had no complaints other than a few times the shower was quite cold on a night and morning but no big deal. Have no worries about going to this hotel, we intend to return next year, staff are lovely and friendly.

i would never recomend this shabby hotel to any one it is discusting ,dirty very un hygienic never gets cleaned properly the manager an his wife are very ignorant to people ,if u complian to them about anything they tell u to get on with it ,id never return to this hotel ,in my opinion it needs closing down ,there was a lot of mould in are room and everytime we flushed the toilet there was a nasty smell coming from it .a couple of people got a bug while there an 1 guy ended up in hospital there was a lot of algey in the grids around the pool no wonder people were sick ,the cleaners came into your room just with clean towel that were still damp i ended up cleaning my room myself as it was never getting done ,but i would advise people not to go here its terrible .

We stayed in the Majestic Hotel in Sept 2010. We found the hotel over all good but for one major problem. The air conditioning was £4 a day (£56) for our holiday which I think is very overpriced. On top of this ours did not work properly. When we complained about this we were told that if we did not like it then just leave and go to another hotel. Every other member of staff was very nice but we did not get our air coditioning sorted out.

i stayed at this hotel in september as a solo female traveler. the day i got there was shown to downstairs room, but told the staff member i had requested an upstairs room (as i felt it would be safer), he immediately took me to a room on the first floor, no problem. Room was bright, spacious and very clean, clean towels every day, always made into different pretty shapes of flowers and swans, thank you to the cleaner, clean bedding every 3 days. Yes they might not have been pure white but always very clean!!! I was in yellow block, which i think had been modernised so was nice. Lovely grounds, very pretty when lit up at night.
Pool area was a bit small and sunbeds very close to each other but not too bad. Pool was lovely temperature and clean.
Thank you to Fatima and Memet for being so friendly and funny and helpfull, was a pleasure to meet you. Staff work very hard and work really long hours, especially bar staff and cleaners but always seem cheerful.
Some people who have moaned about this hotel are the people who want 5star for the price of 2 star. I have been to 4 star hotels in turkey and they are no better, if not worse than this hotel, give them a break, it's turkey, a third world country they dont have the same standards of our country!
As for the food i can only comment on breakfast, which was a normal turkish breakfast, also the bar menu was very good value and very nice.
Only complaint i have was the noise made in the early hours of the morning by fellow holidaymakers who have no consideration for people who are trying to sleep, but that is not the hotels fault. Music was turned down at 12am by bar staff and they did try to keep customers quiet at the bar.
So thank you to all the staff for enjoyable 11 days stay.
Olu deniz is lovely, very small but very beautiful, Majestic in good place with lovely views of the mountains. Shops 2 mins walk, beach 5 mins walk.
Good place to eat is the rainbow which is just down the road over crossing, staff very friendly and lovely food. breakfast only £2 and you get loads.
Would go back to olu deniz again and definately back to Majestic.
I also went to icmeler on a coach, 4 hrs away and spent 3 days there, and felt safer travelling there than i would in england on my own, they look after you.
Turkey is a beautiful country and a muslim country, so as for hearing prayers early in the morning coming from the mosque, it's their religion, their rights, their country so respect it and dont moan.

The Hotel Majestic is in a good position surrounded by mountains and not far to walk to the many bars and restaurants of Olu Deniz .Reading the reports on Tripadvisor before we came we were a bit concerned as to where we were going but luckily we never encountered anything major like dirty rooms or bedding. We had a nice room that was clean with very comfortable beds. When we arrived the room they gave us at first was a family room with 3 beds with and no room to move. We asked if they could take one bed out and immediately they just gave us the key to another room in the same block which was fine .
It's definately not 5 star but we never paid 5 star price.
Breakfast was great with fruit juice ( not very good ,to watery ) cereals, fruit cheese, jam, boiled eggs, toms topped with cheese, eggy bread, small sausages, and the chef did eggs how you wanted them . Scrambled, fried, omelettes and pancakes . The bread was beautiful fresh every day .I stopped making toast after a couple of days as the toaster did keep getting switched of by the young girl in the dining room so it never got hot to brown it . Once it was switched off when someones toast was in it .I don't know if she had been told to do this to save money or what but it was a nuisance .The evening meal I
have to say was not to good not a lot of choice. There wasn't a hot choice for vegetarians and only 2 choices for non veggies chicken
or fish and always chips .The salad selection was very good but it would have been nice if there had been cold meat or cheese so you could have made a salad if you had wanted .
Next year they are making a lot of alterations and hoping to make the kitchen bigger so they can have more choices of food . We would come back to this hotel but only as bed and breakfast as there are plenty of places to eat outside One that we used a few times was the Rainbow restaurant , family run by Chris an English lady and her Turkish Partner Recef. It is just down the road from the Majestic hotel . The chef Dennis is Turkish and so is Mike who is front of house . We tried various steaks whilst we were there but the Lamb Shank was to die for it just fell of the bone .. Thoroughly enjoyed by all and they really did their best to make our night . So friendly and welcoming .Certainly a restaurant to try .
