I had a brilliant time at the blue lagoon. lazy days lounging by the pool was great and then you can always go to the lovely beach and nice shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were the best thing about the hotel. They were so nice to everyone. The bars nice and there's not too many rooms so in a few days you feel like you know everyone who's staying there and it's a friendly atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel late October. I was worried that being half term it would be overun with kids but it wasn't. Also the reviews for the hotels differ so much that you have to take a chance. This hotel is quite basic. Most rooms have a balcony. Not the cleanest room I have stayed in, so for once I turned a blind eye as this hotel is very convenient for the beach. Its about 5 min walk to the main street filled with the restaurants and one of the best beaches in Turkey. The staff are great at this hotel and it makes such a difference to your stay. It is a small hotel and the barman and manager (George) are very entertaining and couples tended all come back to the hotel in the evening and sit around a huge fire that they make. This is not a lager lout place, more families and older couples. If you want to stay close to the beach, in a decent hotel, this is absolutely fine. They are quite good about turning the music down after 12pm. Remember that if you want a room overlooking the pool it will look great but it will be noisier if you like to go to bed early. The breakfast is very basic. Just a continental breakfast every day but it suited us fine as we ate out every night so less temptation to pig out!! Remember that if you go in Oct - the 28th Oct - most of the restuarants and shops close for the season and reopen 5 months later so the whole resort almost closes down. Still great weather but cools down from about 4pm and sun sets around 6pm. Recommend The Buzz Bar for cocktails and great food! Don't feel you have to book the excursions with the tour company as the main street has plenty of places offering exactly the same tours and the prices are much less. Lovely pool but too chilly for this time of year to swim but the sea is still warm.

  • Liked — Friendly staff
  • Disliked — Rooms could have been a bit cleaner, breakfast a bit boring.

This hotel is lovely.

We had a fantastic stay and couldn't fault it one bit. It is not far from the "main street" and has a lovely restuarant and snack/pool bar. The staff are so friendly they just cannot do enough for you, it really is so lovely that we didn't want to leave. They have ice cream and tea and cakes in the afternoon. The pool bar is lovely and after having something to eat and a few drinks/walk around it is really nice to go back to at the end of the evening. Also met some lovely people as well, just can't fault it.

We would defintely go again and are going to try and go back next year.

I don't know what these people are going on about rude staff for. I had a lovely time. The hotel is a five minute wak from shops and bars, and about ten minute wlak from the beach, perfect. The Blue Lagoo is also within walking distance. The hotel met its requirements and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were lovely and clean, the pool was fab and pool, fusball etc were all free. The staff actually made my holiday, the were fun, kind and made me feel welcome. The managers a bit of a dish (but married), the bartender was a legend and the og chapkin, is beautiful. I would definately go back, and i recommend the hotel.

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with The Blue Lagoon Hotel. I had not read any reviews about the place before I went so I had no prior knowledge of what to expect. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and anyway thats all thats required really as we were out most of the time. Either around the resort or on trips to Fethiye. Everyone we met was very friendly and the staff at this hotel went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Id certainly go back there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good base to stay. We also met many people there who had been there several times before and always pick this same hotel. The only downside to the rooms was storage space as two of us were sharing a room there was no cupboards to put alot of our clothes. Apart for that it filled all our needs.
