“Gorgeous Hotel But badly in need of courteous staff!”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

my wife and i have been to the blue lagoon now three times and i totally agree with some of the previous comments about this wonderfull hotel! The problem is when Scotty and Mustafa were running the bar the atrmosphere was fantastic and they honestly couldnt do enough for the holidaymakers! George is a real gem and never stops always tending to everybodys needs! But! Now comes the downside! The young barstaff now employed there are totally ignorant to the point even though i am only in my fiftys was constantly getting taunted OLD MAN OLD MAN! Now dont know about anyone else but i go on holiday to relax and unwind and by the time i had finished this holiday was ready to strangle some of these ignorant crettins! All i can say in completion is that the Owner needs to address this issue as gorgeous hotel will be in very bad shape in the near future! Absolutely disgusted by this type of treatment of guests!

Best holiday ever! Would return in a flash. Loved the hotel and it's surroundings. Exceptionally clean rooms, bar, pool ect... Food was very good, good choice of buffet. Bar drinks and snacks of good variety with excellent cocktails being served by Mufasa! Turkixh night was amazing, will remember it forever. Olu Deniz is a wonderful place to go, lively but quiet, with fantastic beaches and choices of excursions.

Would recommend to anyone. I want to come back now! Wonderful memories made, thank you!

We normally go on self-catering holidays but decided this year to have a change and try out a hotel on B&B basis. Really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Lagoon Hotel back in July. Hotel is ideally located, just a short stroll to the town centre but far enough away to get peace & quiet at night (apart from some not annoying bar music from adjacent hotels). Rooms were smaller than expected but more than adequate and very well maintained; the cleaners do an excellent job. Pool is a decent size and we enjoyed a couple of water polo games. The hotel staff were all very attentive and pleasant and George, the dining room manager, went round the poolside every day making sure everyone was cared for and sorting out any problems (we had none). Hotel buffet breakfast got a bit repetitive but there was always at least one item changed daily. We ate out most nights but on the three nights we stayed in we found a great choice of tasty food at a very competitive price. Drinks and poolside food menu were more expensive, but I suppose just typical of hotels. We had no problem with the card system used for buying goods but made sure to settle our bills regularly and during the day when receipts were handed out (i.e. they weren’t at night). Overall, we would have no problems going back to the Blue Lagoon Hotel and will do once we have seen more of Turkey.

We stay at the Blue Lagoon in October every year now, and can not praise them highly enough.
The place is one of the most friendly, welcoming and relaxing places Shirley and I have ever stayed. I have travelled extensively. OluDeniz is a retreat with a wonderful atmosphere, year on year. The National Park is so well looked after as is the whole resort, we feel so at home on every visit. The Blue Lagoon is blessed with really helpful, friendly staff, from reception to cleaning staff who all go the the 'extra mile' to make the place so special.

George makes breakfast (so extensive) and dining a relaxing and comfortable experience, that
we actually look forward to seeing them all again.

The rooms are well serviced, clean and comfortable, and again consistent. Nothing seems to be a problem to them all. We can't wait to return...we may even go again twice this coming year.

We stayed here for three days in September as we were attending a wedding on the beach at Olu Deniz. We booked a superior room, however when we got there they had double booked and we could only have the standard room. They gave us the toiletries, slippers etc that would have come with the superior oom but charged us for the standard room. Very clean throughout and and wifi in the public areas

Would like to give people a little heads up on the blue lagoon and the resort of oludeniz. Wasn't sure about Turkey before this my first visit. My wife assured me I would love it and she was spot on. Wanted a holiday for the family during half term at a good price and all considered that's what we had. What I would say is if your considering going on what is their last week before they shut down for the winter don't go here. We were supposed to be half board and the food was awful. Didn't even get offered food on last three nights. Airtours shouldn't offer anything other than bed and breakfast for this week. The hotel itself is clean and tidy but basic. Staff are really friendly and nice. My daughters had wonderful time. Looking forward to going back next year already as we loved the resort and people.

For what we paid for the accommodation for the week you would struggle to get a city centre hotel for the night in the UK
Bearing this in mind , its a great location at the end of the strip, close to everything but just out of the way of the bar noise - the only interruption we did have was the early morning call to prayers.
Rooms are small , basic , but spotlessly clean , with plenty of plug sockets.
We stayed on the 2nd floor room 154 , nice balcony overlooking the pool and mountains , and a recently renovated bathroom which was nice - walk in rain shower and newly tiled floor to ceiling.
Food - we only had breakfast , very basic offerings , with scrambled egg offered once during the week.
All edible , clean and tidy , but dont expect much , you can get a full english cooked for you @ 13 TL.
The pool is nice , spotless , well maintained which leads onto a nice sunbathing area, when we stayed 7 nights from the 16th October there was no issue with sunbeds - plenty , but i believe this is not the case during the main season .
The hotel was far from capacity whilst we was there , which was nice.
Staff - George is really the only person we had main contact with , nice enough to get along with, we had no complaints so cant comment any further.
There is 2 young waiting staff , a bit miserable , but i suppose there paid peanuts and are at that age - there little faces light when there any attractive ladies around i noticed , so beware ladies !
The chamber maids keep the rooms spotless.
All in all for what we paid it was spot on.
Olu deniz is a lovely resort, we are coming back , so we may pay a bit more for a bit more luxury , but do not be put of staying the Blue Lagoon, there is nothing wrong with it
