I stayed here with my 7 year old daughter for the middle two weeks in August, and she's already asking when we can go again next year!
Booked through Expedia, so separate flights/transfer/hotel and all went smoothly. I used Tinyakropol for the transfers to and from Dalman, driver met us in a nice cool minibus..and even stopped off for water and chocolate for my daughter!
After reading such good reviews here about the hotel I can only add my own good report, it is a very pleasant place, the food was nice, lots of variations...even for a picky 7 year old to impress!
Lots of sunbeds, entertainment was good around the pool, everyone seemed to be happy and got along well. One side of the pool is in sun most of the day, the other offers some shade...it was needed in August temperatures. The hotel's position in the mountains offer a bit of a welcome breeze! There are some reports of the Turkish holidaymakers bieng rude or arrogant...theyre just a different culture, they dont queue! Live and let live. Evening entertainment wasnt the best, but the kids got to dance around every night. My daughter found a lovely little Turkish friend, they got on very well, although me and her Dad had to comunicate via Google Translate! The kids loved the french version of the 'birdy song'
Our room was fine for the two of us, cleaned everyday by smiling maids. The halls were a bit echo but thats just their design.
A dolmus into Hisaronu cost 2TL each way, we had a few nights and meals there.
Theres a free bus to billys beach at 10am returning 5pm, well worth a day out.
I used Alibaba excursions in Hisaronu to do the jeep safari and day long boat trip, both are very good days out. We also went to the Aquapark a mile or so away, another good day out!
All in all me and my daughter had a great stay and will most likely return next year, no reasons not to!

2nd visit with family and friends and what can I say but another superb holiday. It was lovely to see families who were here last year and to see staff who still were there too. My emailed requests were granted and all thanks to Ahmet the reception manager. Staff here never stop ... Enes who can't do enough for you in the restaurant and always with a smile and always taking the time to talk, Masun you are amazing too, always a smile on your face, Ali you keep the place going from morning til night with the entertainment and music, Mert also an amazing part of the entertainment it was lovely to see you all again. Hande you are a little pocket rocket who everyone loved and it was a shame to see you leave last week to go to University. Thank you for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary special with a cake and a dance and also the surprise on staff night when we cut the cake. Thank you to Songu our cleaner who remembered me from last year who kept our room spotless. I could go on forever with thanking everyone. This is a 3* hotel with 5* staff who can't do enough from the ground staff to the management. Food was lovely, drink was ok but I agree with other reviewers that the lager needs to be addressed. Ozgur (general manager) you are a lovely guy who took the time to chat with us and ask our opinions on various things, I hope you are able to act on the suggestions we made. You are admired by your staff and that is testament to you. Thank you and please thank your staff for all your hard work and for making us feel so welcome yet again. We look forward to visiting again soon. I will be in touch ...

Stayed at this hotel for a week with my daughter. We had a room in the main block overlooking the pool which was ideal as we were close to everything. The hotel staff and entertainment team couldn't have done anymore, always very friendly and full of energy. Good choice of food too, always hot and plenty of choice and nothing wrong with the drinks at the bar at all. The area outside the hotel is a bit run down and very quiet but for a short 10 min taxi ride you can get to hisaronou which is much livelier. We used the free shuttle bus and had a day at the beach which is stunning. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Have been to Turkey many times and have yet to write a review but feel I should about this one. All the staff so friendly and helpful and full of fun from the entertainment team to the bar staff and waiters and also the reception staff. Food is similar to most other all inclusive in Turkey, you will always find something to eat and the Sunday Roast and Turkish Night were excellent. Have seen some people complaining about the drink - although the beer was not Effes it was fine and as for the Vodka being watered down, I don't think so. Thought the Turkish mixed in very well with the people from the UK especially at Volleyball time - a big improvement on sharing a hotel with the Russians. You can always walk into Ovacik and get yourself an English breakfast for £3.00.

This review is a bit of nostalgia really, so may not be of much use other than interest value. We were the first guests to stay in the Yel the day it opened. We booked into reception where a group of very nervous employees greeted us very amicably. We collected our key and a shower curtain. Shower curtain? 'Sorry Sir, we haven't had time to put them up. Would you mind...?" This was followed by, "Oh, and we haven't put the air conditioning in yet but we have organised a fan for you!"

So, there we were hanging the shower curtain (whilst laughing) and dodging the wires coming out of the newly painted wall where the AC unit was to go. The bed had never been slept in, and I reckon that's a first for us in any hotel.

Off to the pool. Well that was great until the rows began. First, the pool guy stomped off although we didn't know for a few days when the water adopted a green hue. The management walked out too and a new team appeared from nowhere to replace them.

Brilliant. We were just loving this free entertainment. All the time the staff were brilliant and we got on famously with them. There were so few residents in the hotel we had a prime poolside table where we enjoyed the evening show.

You all probably think me mad to give 5 stars, but the place is great - or at least was 18 years ago. The teething problems they were having were well masked by the staff and they generated a lot of sympathy from us lot. I will have to ferret out more of the early photos we have so that I can upload them for you.

I think we will go back having written this - hope the AC is fitted by now ;-)

Room tip: Get a room with a shower curtain and air conditioning!
