We have just returned from Villa Beldeniz and the hotel is exactly as described in the brochure, Small and Friendly. Our rooms were basic but nice and kept spotlessly clean. Good shower in the bathroom. The swimming pool was kept well but it is really really cold!! Central location so just a short walk to anything you would need. I understand that Thomsons will not be booking the rooms that people have complained about, which is a good thing, because if we had been given those rooms, this would have been a different review! Don't expect too much for breakfast, but the coffee is great. We did have a couple of meals in the hotel when they had a BBQ night and a Fish Night and we all had lovely meals. All the staff were friendly.

Stayed here in May, booked 11 nights with Thomson. Arrived at 11pm, given room 208 which is dark, noisy & has no view at all (this was after I had emailed the hotel 2 months earlier requesting a room at the end of the pool!) Asked to change rooms but told nothing available for a couple of days. Complained to the Thomson rep the next morning who told us that as a Thomson customer we should never have been allocated that room & would be compensated for it. Spent 4 nights before getting a move, it got much better from then on............(I guess the hotel management is under pressure to keep the hotel full)

New room overlooking the pool was fine & had a view of the sea, the cleaners worked hard, everything kept very clean & tidy. Nice pool, bar staff friendly.

Breakfast was a bit basic but what we expected, you can always eat elsewhere for not much money if you like, plenty of choice close by.

If you use the beach get some swimming shoes as it can be difficult getting in & out of the sea as the surf can be quite strong alternatively go down the other end of the bay to the blue lagoon.

This was our 2nd visit to Oludeniz, will definitely go back, nice friendly people, plenty of choice for food & drink.

After quite a few emails, phone calls & letters I have just heard from Thomson that they are not prepared to offer any sort of compensation for us having to spend 4 nights in a room that they knew was substandard & it sound like they are still using it!
Not very good customer service Thomson Holidays!!

Room Tip: Request a room facing the pool.

Have just spend a very enjoyable 2 weeks here. A very friendly small hotel in a central location. The pool was kept spotlessly clean and although the sun beds are quite close together we never felt too close to our fellow sunbathers there. The rooms are basic, but very clean, plenty of storage space and great bathrooms with power showers. Balcony to our room overlooked the pool area opposite the bar. Air con in rooms free, safe available for a small charge. We found breakfast to be of a good quality and always plenty of it. The coffee was good, but the tea was awful. Take your own tea bags if you don't like coffee.
Went to Sugar Beach Club quite a few times, free bus can be called from reception
Joined in with the belly dancing at the weekly BBQ. Great fun.
If we return to Olu Deniz in the future, we have been 3 times now, we would definitely return to this little hotel. Thank you to all the staff who made our holiday so special

Room Tip: Rooms 601 - 605 and 501 - 505 all overlooked the pool area with a view of the mountains opposite

Just returned from a two week stay at the Villa Beldeniz and all i can say is dont bother. We had Room 506 which must have the worst view of all the rooms and was very dark because it had a dark wood ceiling. Our balcony was next to the bar of the hotel next door which seemed to come to life aroud three in the morning, hence we had very little sleep. The room was at the back of the hotel and overlooked the back of next doors hotel which was where their staff seemed to take their breaks so we had no privacy because they could see in to our room. I think guests should be made aware that not all rooms have a pool view and could be at the back. Had to ask for sheets to be changed when we arrived because they were stained. Had problems with the electricity because the slot where the key went was faulty, asked for this to be looked at but nothing was done so gave up in the end. Breakfast was terrible only tried it once and that was enough. On a positive note the cleaning ladies were fabulous and kept the room very clean. Loved Olu Deniz and will return but not to this hotel. Its certainly not a 3 star plus.

Have just returned from a two week holiday staying at the Villa Beldeniz. A very comfortable base. The cleanliness of this hotel is first class. The rooms are compact and the shower facility are the best we have ever had, infact much better than sum showers in English hotels. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The only downside about the Villa Beldeniz is the pool area, it's very clean, however there are too many sun beds! No personal space, not like the photo in the Thomson brochure that is for sure.! We did bed and breakfast, the half board is not worth trying, there is no need, there are so many resturants to choose from you are spoilt for choice, very reasonably priced and the standard is excellent. We are hopefuly going to return next June to enjoy lighter evenings. This has been are first time in Turkey and hope it will be the first of many.

We travelled as a mature couple mid september. Nice little hotel set back in the quieter part of Olu Deniz. Stayed in room 325 overlooking the pool. Nice room and super bathroom. We personally were very happy with our room, which was kept spotlessly clean by the lovely maid.No complaints there. We booked half board and quite frankly wished we had only booked B&B, as there are so many lovely restaurants and bars around. Breakfast was very basic but we found it adequate for our needs. However, would suggest you take your own tea bags!! The quality and taste of the meat presented for evening meal was really nice, BUT all the meals were supplied with salad and chips and after a couple of day became very monotenous, especially as sometimes the starter was also salad!! After having visited some of the markets in the area and seen the fabulous selection of vegetables the was no reason not to be able to present a good balanced meal complimented by tasty vegetables.. Needless to say we did eat out several times and were approached by the manager and asked why we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant. A little intimidating, and he did not seem concerned about what could be done to improve the situation. We found his customer service skills severely lacking. Would suggest that this hotel should be B&B only. The pool area is very nice but the sunbeds are a little crammed together. We never had a problem securing a bed when we did to stay at the hotel for the day. Pool temperature very comfortable. Batis the barman is a very friendly nicely presented young man who did his best to engage with all the holidaymakers. Bar prices little expensive so we only had a drink with our evening meal and went out every evening to mooch about and stop at some of the many bars. We stayed for the weekly babecue on a Tuesday but were completely taken back when were were asked to pay an extra 15 lira each for the priviledge of doing so. We were not offered an alternative choice of meal as we were half board if we didn't want the BBQ food. Bit of a cheek really. Didn't make the same mistake 2nd week! Would recommend a visit to the Help bar on a Friday/Sat as they have an amazing band who play some fabulous music. Upstairs in the Buzz bar is a great place to see the sunset, but if stopping for a meal you need to prior book a table as it is a very popular place with excellent food. Our favourite little bar is the Mavi Belce where we always stopped for a late night cocktail. Ty makes the most amazing cocktails and is always bright and cheerful, and Leyla his partner at the bar is a super, friendly young lady who always makes you feel welcome. Highly recommended as a late night stop. We used the Focus group for all our trips as we had used them the previous year and thoroughly enjoyed the Jeep Safari and the 12 island day trip. Be choosy though as some of the boats do play loud music. We did the sail boat 12 island trip and picked the boat up from Fethiye. Nice quiet relaxing day. Lunch was good too. Paragliding was amazing. You have to do this, it was fabulous, such an adrenaline rush. We either walked or got the courtesy bus down to the Seahorse Beach Club. 15 lira for sunbeds plus umberella . Good food and great iced coffees supplied here. Nice place to go for a relaxing day. Take a dolmus to Hisaronu and then change for another bus to Kayakoy, the ghost village for some Turkish culture. Only takes about twenty minutes to get there. 5 lira pp. entrance fee but well worth a visit. Take your camera for some great photos. All in all we had a great holiday and will be booking to go back next year as there is still so much to do and see. However we will be choosing another hotel, just by way of a change and not because we had a bad experience.Don't be put off staying at the Beldeniz as everyone's experiences are different. We had no real complaints , just observations that didn't quite suit us personally.

Room Tip: High floor overlooking the pool away from the bar

After being diagnosed with Parkinsons and Breast Cancer on the same day in Dec 09 (had 18 months of treatment including chemo and radiotherapy) we decided to give ourselves a well deserved holiday! Arrived about 1am and given the infamous rooom 208! Complained and shown only other rooom available 'the dungeon'!. After a very long and tiring journey and so looking forward to this holiday I didn't expect to start it by crying in the bathroom at 4am in the morning! First morning rep didn't have complaint form and couldn't do anything. Second morning, no form, would put one under door with a note, that didn't happen. Third morning Hazel filled in form. At no time were we offered any compensation (as given to another recent reviewer) and I was told Thomson were no longer using these rooms next season because of all the complaints! Why use them in the first place! It has been going on for years appparently and we.as paying customers, have had to put up with it! SHAME ON YOU THOMSONS!
After 3 long, noisy, sleepless nights we moved to 306. Sunlight! This is when our holiday seemed to really start! The rooms are kept spotless by the hard working girls and the rest of the bar staff and Mehmet couldn't be more friendly and happy. (feel sorry for Mehmet as he is the face we all complain to when the problems are with Thomsons and the hotel owners). The breakfast was a bit basic but you could always manage.to have cereal or toast, I don't know why but I enjoyed those little red sausages. The pool area is a bit cramped with all sunbeds next to each other but there again you alway got a bed. Parasols on wheels so could easily move around.
We went B&B and found loads of really good places to eat and drink, went through all different colours at Buzz bar! We exchanged our money with the bag lady and got a far better rate than anyone else, It's a tiny shop up on the left past Swallows. A great place to stroll about in the evening along the strip and all the shops. Got to recommend a massage at Serenity, down the escalators to supermarket, sheer bliss. Beach is pebbles and be very careful as a big dip just as you go in the water and the tide can sometimes drag your feet from under you. Got a free bus from hotel to sandy beach.at Blue lagoon, just ask reception to call it for you, always left driver a tip
All in all a lovely holiday (started 3 days after we got there), friendly, clean hotel. Great variety of places to eat and drink, Beautiful setting and glorious weather! Would definately go back to hotel now those rooms won't be used anymore!
Angry with Thomsons (who i've made an official complaint with) who have put us and others through the rooms nightmare!.
