“Loved it!!”
Reviewed 23 June 2010

Just returned from an excellent stay at the Oyster, fantastic holiday in all respects. I think there is enough evidence in all the previous reports to confirm any potential guests should have no worries about the quality of the rooms or the ambiance around the pool and restaurant. The rooms, whilst not luxurious are very comfortable with loads of character and the pool is superb, a real chill out area. Food in the restaurant was very good in lovely surroundings, although it is a little more expensive than some of the other places nearby. A special mention for the staff, not only in the bar, but also the housekeepers, very efficient and friendy.
I would suggest the main concern for any potential guests having read previous reports is the noise! It was discussed around the pool and whilst it was an issue for some, most found it was not a major factor. I would suggest it depends greatly on your attitude, how soundly you sleep and the location of your room.
It is well recorded the hotel has a couple of noisy bars nearby so it should expected that there will be some noise, we found it varied, over the two week period, only on a couple of nights could I say it appeared louder than normal but never kept us awake. (no earplugs required!!) We were in a garden terrace room, so I think that helped reduce the noise, some in the higher rooms reported it was more of a problem. We are not party animals, tending to be in bed around midnight most nights, on those nights we were later, the drink seemed to help us drift off!! In short, expect some noise, don't get too uptight, it's a great hotel in a great location.

A fantastic hotel. 26 rooms. Looks older but is only 7 years old. Staff are all helpful and attentive. Food is all good. Front of the hotel opens onto the promenade. Secluded pool in the middle of the complex. Slight noise problem on saturday nights, but what are you doing in bed anyway and our room was the closest to the source.
Overall can't recommend it enough.

We stayed for 7 days in this 26-room, clean, atttractive and well appointed hotel, a stone's throw from the beach. Its courtyard layout and mature trees and plants create a quiet, private retreat from the bustle of the promenade and the shopping street. At night you can hear the music from the nearby bars but it was never too loud to get to sleep, so we wouldn't rate 'noise' a problem, as others have. Friendly staff and a good restaurant complete the package.

We went to the Oyster Residence for 9 nights and found the hotel first class. Great service, rooms were outstanding and the breakfast they provide was also good. The pool area is extreamly relaxing with hammocks and beds etc. Having no children meant that it was completely chllled out. Location was also excellent, right on the beach and close to everything you need.

It was fair to say that the place next door does make some noise. However, it didnt affect us one bit and although we read the reviews and took earplugs we didnt use them once. I can see that older people who maybe can't sleep with a little background noise might be a little annoyed, however as a young couple it didnt bother us one bit.

Oludeniz itself was great and the blue lagoon was outstanding. Lots of places for a drink and a good mix of differrent types of restaurants. Of course it has its fair share of touristy type places too but we just avoided these in the main.

On the whole I would say that this was a great place to go for sun and relaxation for a few days. The price we got through booking direct was far cheaper than through brochures and it was an absolute bargin! Would highly reccomend.

My husband and I stayed at this great hotel the first week of the 2010 season. The rooms are lovely with either a balcony or a terrace and well equipped and very comfortable and sylish. The pool and surroundings are peaceful and again very comfortable with hammocks and cushions and the olive trees surrounding the pool make it a really lovely setting. Oludeniz wouldn't be our first choice of resort as it's a bit commercial but this hotel is a lovely haven in the middle of a bustling resort. We used it as a base to walk bits of the Lycian Way and visit Kabak Bay and other beautiful coastal spots. Breathtaking scenery! One of the things that made this hotel truly special was the staff. They were absolutely lovely - helpful, knowledgeable and good fun - can't praise them highly enough. Food was excellent too. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough and we will definitely go there again.

If you are thinking of going to Oludeniz, with the exception on the Beyaz Yunis Hotel (The White Dolphin), which is 100 times better, this is perhaps your next best bet.
If you compare the hotel to say UK / American / Dubai standards it is NOT 4 or 5 star, I would say more like 3 star - but it is 4 star by Turkish standards I guess, not 5!
The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.
The rooms were clean and large, we had a terrace room. There was free wi-fi, a flat screen TV, hairdryer etc. The bathroom was nice: 2 sinks, modern, good shower. No real comp toiletries, so make sure you take everything, also the floors can be very slippy when wet so take slippers and if you want a hot drink - take a kettle.
The pool was nice and very quite in the day. Breakfast was good and we ate in the restaurant one evening and it was good.
The loaction is right on the beach, nice in the day but not so great in the evening due to the noise. Yes I know lots of people have commented on it as we did read all the reviews before we booked and decided as we are youngish! (30's) it couldn't be that bad.... it was!
We had the room that I think is the furtherst away from the bars but even so until 3 am it was like the live band were playing in your room! I guess some people don't go to bed until 3am on holiday anyway but if like us you actually want a rest, and don't find sleeping in earplugs that comfortable, then this is not the hotel for you.
Overall if you have the right expectations (equal to a 3 star and quite a bit of noise) then as I said it is prob the best hotel other than the wonderful Beyas Yunis.
