We stayed at The Grove, rooms were quite big but in need of refurbishment and the grounds are in need of a gardener, I am glad we did not have a ground floor room because the grass was practically knee high at the patio area, the breakfast was the worst we have ever had, the first day we were there for breakfast they ran out of bread (9am) and most mornings the bread was not fresh the hot water for tea and coffee ran out, they boiled a kettle which took ages. there was no toaster although they would toast it for you however it was not properly toasted and tasted like hot bread. They charge for air conditioning and a safe (which is normal) however they also charge for a fridge which is automatically switched off when you take your key out, which meant that the fridge was off all day and in the evening when you went out. Would we go back ..NO...

Room Tip: All rooms face the pool...top floor have no balcony and would not recommend..ground floor outside se...

when we arrived at the grove it was late at night we were shown to our room first error we asked and paid for a larger room overlooking the pool we were given a room very nice but small and overlooking the road iiiii but as the porter spoke no english none none none a little would have been nice . we paid 60 pound for air con and safe no problem as we are frequent visitors to turkey we knew that this cost needed to be paid ? but then on our first morning we met elvis the manager ~~~ he was flocking round a group off people he knew regulars i belive . which is all well and good but he ignored everyone else . after three days we lost the air con box unknowed to us the maid had dropped it under the bed . i managed to speak to elvis lucky me and he accused me of not paying for the air con box in the first plaice / i told him straight i had paid and he seemed to accept this but he was not happy ? neither was i he approached me on my own and not with my husband maybee because he knew that he couldent have spoke to a man in the mannor he spoke to me . the staff well what staff because it was the second week in sep apparently this is end off season ? since when . so limited staff were there there was a really nice ladie there english and she spoke fluent turkish so this was handy , so my review for the grove is dont bother unless you want to be totally ignored ? not my idea off fun i will return to hisaronu but just not this hotel/////////// elvis is also known as mehmet //////

This is the second time we have stayed at The Grove. Mehmet and Popeye made our stay a great one.
We had a couple if issues with the cleaners but this was dealt with promptly and well. Food is good quality, we stay BB but lunch menu is good and BBQ evening were great entertainment and food.
The pool does need some attention, we have been assured that this will be dealt with. I agree with previous posting about people putting towels out! We observed this being done at 3am!! But most hotels seem to have this problem, but it does need to be addressed. Also they could do with more sunbeds as they have plenty of room to develop a lovely sunlounge area overlooking the pool!
We will book again for next summer as we think this hotel is a gem. Mehmet is open to negotiation on prices so this is a very reasonably priced hotel.

i,ve just returned this morning from turkey and once again myself and my wife stayed in the grove.there has unfortuntely been a gradual decline in some respects of outside clenleness around the pool area but the rooms are spotless and the cleaners cant do enough for you.there is a problem with the music as most guests would rather chill till later on in the day rather than gangsta rap with ya boiled eggs but have a word with popeye and threaten to throw the speakers in the pool generally does the trick!!!
the food is ok but in some cases overpriced for the portion size and better value can be found just a 100 metres away down the hill.but dont let this put you off this idealy situated little jem of a hotel where you are alays made to feel most welcome.we'll be returning in september.

Room Tip: all rooms are good no special tip

This is our 4th holiday in Turkey so we know what to expect before anyone judges me. We arrived on Friday 8th June and thought what a lovely hotel. IT IS. Rooms are basic but clean and well sized.Receptionist very helpful. BREAKFASTS were very boring, cheese, boiled eggs and bread, yogurt and fruit and of course 3 lots of olives. NO MEATS, CEREALS OR VARYING FOODS AT ALL. This could be bought if you wanted them.
Then Hotel Grove changed to Hotel Disco a nightmare and begun. Just to say that 90% of the guests were over 30 with children or couples like us. I love music BUT NOT FROM 10am every morning till late at night the same boom boom crap not even proper music. No relaxing time round the pool for lots of us we all had to go out. The bar is run by young lads and only one can speak English so the music they play is for them not the guests. It was terrible and we couldn't wait to get away. It was so loud that with the room door shut and earplugs in you could still hear it. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL.
PLACES TO EAT. The English Restaurant, El Nino's, The Honeymoon Restaurant and the Dragonara Chinese Restaurant. The best local is Beer and Bites and Mehmet is fantastic you must call in, food is good and we have always met lovely people in there.
Hisaronu was louder and brasher than last year but still something for every age group. Hope this review is helpful.
