Mavruka Hotel

Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

We spent 10 days at tbe Mavruka hotel with my wife and 2 teenage kids. Hotel was nice, fairly modern and cleaned daily. Pool area was really nice and clean. Mehmet and Angela were great unfortunately when the the owner arrived every afternoon the mood changed and he put everyone on edge. Outside bar at night was a bit dull and the owner had control of tv/ music. Breakfast was awful, coffee was undrinkable!! Grumpy old man behind the bar was just rude, apparently that's how he is, perhaps he should change job if he doesn't like people. All in all an ok holiday, could've been made better by happier staff. Tip for the owner - stay away it runs better without you!!

Stayed here at the end September which was at the end of the season but still enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there wasn't a very big selection of food, but the evening meal were freshly cooked, it was very tasty and you won't go hungry. the room was fine and there area was nice. Good for watching the sky diving as the schools were near by. Happy to go back.

We have just returned from the Mavruka. We found the rooms to be large and comfortable the bathroom very clean with a very powerful shower. The staff were the best ever. Rami the bar manager, Salaman and Chef Umit could not have been more friendly even though it was the very end of the season and were exhausted. The situation of the hotel, just off the main strip, was for us perfect. Two point against is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. We also found the dining area cold at this time of year because it is completely open to the elements. We had a wonderful holiday, we found, without exception, everyone to be very friendly. We will go back to the Mavruka probably on a B&B basis so that we can sample the many resturants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. PS There are lots of interesting things to see & do in the area especially using the Dolmus busses which in them selves are quite an experience.

We stayed at the Mavruka Hotel for 10 days from the 7th September & we really liked it. The room was big with a lovely 6ft huge bed! we could not fault it. We had asked for a quiet room when we booked & it was exactly that. The hotel is in an ideal location not far from the noisy strip but did not affect us, not far from the beach/front. I would recommend this hotel, in fact we liked it so much we have booked to go back again next year. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis which suits us as we like to eat out & sample the restaurants/bars. The breakfast is a typical Turkish one of fruit juice, cereals, ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, toast, hard boiled eggs & sometimes scrambled, was ok, if you want to have an English breakfast then you can find that most places do it & very cheap. yes I definitely say this is a good hotel, very clean, our towels were changed every day & room tided. Large bathroom with plenty of space to put all your toiletries.

We have just returned from the Mavruka Hotel we stayed for 9 nights. Whilst the hotel is a fairly new build modern hotel -it sadly had no heart. If it were not for Mehmet and Angie this would have been a very sad place. I cannot complain about the facilities as they were very good. Room extremely clean comfortable beds although their choice of bedding was odd. No sheet or blanket just a cover - I asked for sheets and blankets which were happily provided. Mehmet was a huge asset to this hotel and nothing was too much trouble for him and his English girlfriend. It is perfectly positioned in Oludeniz and due to this reason and the high standard of cleanliness I would possibly go back. It is such a shame when you know that this hotel could be such a gem if it would only invest in its staff and allow them to service their guests as most other hotels do. Breakfast was dire - how anyone could say it is good is beyond me. Everything on the table was bought for cheapness low quality food. No fruit except water melon every day which was tasteless, we were really disappointed with this. Upon checkout - we wanted to pay by credit card they said they would add 5% to the bill. We ended up paying cash which we founds was what most of the businesses and restaurants wanted . We had a lovely holiday with our friends who we holiday with a lot and all 4 of us felt the same about the hotel. Need to get a heart.
