On arriving at the hotel at 1.30am we were greeted by a pleasant and helpful male receptionist who checked us in and carried our luggage to our room, the room was spacious and more importantly clean as was the bathroom. The breakfast needs improving hard cornflakes and horrible tea but the coffee is nice and there is very limited choice of anything else but you could get a good English breakfast at josephs for 10 lira about £3.50 which is just at the end of the road about 1minute away. The pool area was clean so was the pool and the sunbeds were cleaned every day, at night the hotel was quiet. The hotel is ideally situated for the strip and a few minutes from the beach, we went to the blue lagoon but preferred Billys beach which is past the blue lagoon and it has a sand beach not shingle plus you do not pay to enter but it has all the amenities needed ie toilet showers and also a free shuttle bus. We would stay at the Mavruka again.

1st time at the Mavruka Hotel, (15th Turkish holiday) it was a lovely hotel and well situated.
Close enough to the beach and all the bars and restaurants but far enough away from all the "boom boom" of the nightly and sometimes daily "music" noise.
Free air conditioning means that at night you can close the balcony door and hear absolutely nothing.
There was nothing going on at the hotel by way of entertainment but it's not needed when sooooo much on the doorstep.
However, how many times have you said that "as long as the room and bed is clean I'm not too bothered?" Well this hotel was spotless and I would recommend it.
Beds and towels changed daily and all areas of the hotel were very clean.
Sadly the bar staff/breakfast waiters were a bit miserable, which was a shame.
Breakfast the same every day with one exception of the hot selection, scrambled eggs/beans/left over potatoes. Didn't take an evening meal.
Although I said this hotel would be good for older people, it would not be good for anyone with mobility problems as there are 3 floors and no lift and steps to get into the front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Do as I always do, ask to see the room before you take luggage to it. If you don't like it or t...

Considering this holiday was a bargain I snapped up, the hotel certainly met our expectations given the price we paid. The mountainside views from the patio were exquisite and the hotel itself could not have been more conveniently located, 1 minute away from the main "strip" and 2-3 minutes away from the beach!
Two negatives have got to be mentioned though. We stayed on B&B board which was just as well since the food was very poor. Every morning my cereal was routinely stale and there were no other options. Don't go Full Board or you may be disappointed, just have lunch and dinner in the town. The other negative was the owner who often showed up invoking a poisonous atmosphere with his grumpiness and rude demeanour. I would genuinely say he was the most impudent person I have ever encountered on my travels.
I would still definitely recommend the Mavruka for the price and convenience of it's location but just remember not to waste your money going Full Board since I guarantee you'll be eating out just about every meal! If it wasn't for the owner I would have given it 4 stars.

We spent 10 days at tbe Mavruka hotel with my wife and 2 teenage kids. Hotel was nice, fairly modern and cleaned daily. Pool area was really nice and clean. Mehmet and Angela were great unfortunately when the the owner arrived every afternoon the mood changed and he put everyone on edge. Outside bar at night was a bit dull and the owner had control of tv/ music. Breakfast was awful, coffee was undrinkable!! Grumpy old man behind the bar was just rude, apparently that's how he is, perhaps he should change job if he doesn't like people. All in all an ok holiday, could've been made better by happier staff. Tip for the owner - stay away it runs better without you!!

Stayed here at the end September which was at the end of the season but still enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there wasn't a very big selection of food, but the evening meal were freshly cooked, it was very tasty and you won't go hungry. the room was fine and there area was nice. Good for watching the sky diving as the schools were near by. Happy to go back.
