The hotel was a def pleasant surprise, we arrived late, after their kitchen was shut, but reopened it just to make us omelette (which was delicious) so we didn't go to bed hungry. The hotel was revamp in 2010, and the rooms and facilities are still in wonderful condition. Very clean, very smart, very modern. The staff are friendly and the manager was always ready to answer our questions and exchange our sterlings for us. The swimming pool is a good size and there never was a shortage of sun beds (some guests marked their bed before breakfast, and we always manage to get beds when we returned from our day out). The hotel runs several social events in the evenings (not every night) e.g. Bingo, karaoke and Turkish Night. We never joined in just because we were antisocial :p but we heard them from our rooms (when we had the patio door opened) and they sounded fun. Their Turkish Night is on Thursdays, we arrived and left on a Thursday, so we missed it. The music goes off by around 11pm, I think, never really heard it when the patio door was shut. The food is not their strangest point, especially with proper restaurants just down the road. But if you feel lazy one night and don't want to go out, there is food. The location is not by the sea like those in Oludeniz, hence more affordable, and quieter and comfortable. The dorman bus stop is just down the hill (which is more of a short slight steep slope rather than a hill, and def not a mountain-as we overheard someone complaining about it!!!) the bus will take you to Ovacik high street where there are lots of restaurants and Asda (Azda), then to Hisraronu (more restaurant and party scenes and shops), then Oludeniz where the sea is!! Take around 20 mins I think, with stopping. It's walkable to Ovacik high street from the hotel, we did it most days, stopped in Asda to get a cold drink, and continue onto Hisraronu, coz the bus fee is cheaper from there to the seaside. And we walked it every evening hunting for food. It was actually a nice walk after a big meal, with a slight breeze.
Please note all hotels in Turkey charge you extra for air conditioning and safe, so bear that in mind so it doesn't come as a surprise. Thats just the way things work there, be prepare and accept it, and don't complain!!
All in all, I was pleasantly surprise by the hotel in all aspect, and happily called it home for a week... Miss it actually. The hotel def made my hotel more brilliant. thanks Leytur!!
