“Great if you spend money”
Reviewed 19 June 2013 via mobile

Its the second time we have been to this hotel. Its a nice place, certainly the best hotel we have been to in this price bracket.
The rooms are large, the swimming pool inviting and clean. This hotel is away from the main resort which is part of the appeal as you can sleep at night and it doesn't tend to attract the party crowd.
The breakfast included is Turkish and very nice. For an extra charge you can opt for an English, but why would you?
Now I am afraid for the bad.
The hotel has a lot of returning customers and if you are not in their clique then tough luck.
If you want to explore the surrounding area and eat out at local restaurants then you will find that during the course of your holiday the owner/manager will make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable for not spending money there.
The meals are mediocre and overpriced.
The drinks are overpriced.
Its a pity that the manager Leyla has this attitude because the hotel is really rather nice. Its just that we like to make the most of our holiday and explore, not sit around the pool all day and the bar by night.
If your idea of a holiday is lazing around the pool and being a bar fly by night, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that then you will be made to feel welcome and as I have said, for the money I think you will be quite impressed by the hotel, unfortunately, the only reason we won't be going back is because of the managers attitude to people that want to explore the country.

Lovely hotel, serving great food, nice pool and bar, friendly staff and good atmosphere. We stayed here in October 2012 and decided to come back for another stay. Don't be put off by comments on here about frequent visitors making it a 'clicky' place. Everyone we met was friendly and it just made for a relaxing environment, where people chatted over a cocktail or two in the evenings.
We will certainly be going back. Great Hotel, Great Holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a third floor room in 'the new block'. Fabulous views of the sunset in the evenings...

Just back from a lovely relaxing week at the Laytur hotel June 8th to June 15th 2013. It is situated just up the hill from Fethiye in Ovacik and is 1 min from the road where you can catch a dolmus to Oludeniz and Fethiye (we never waited more than 20 seconds for one). The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are a nice size and all face the wonderful pool area. I am surprised the pool is not highlighted in other reviews as it is very large, very clean and lovely to spend the day next to relaxing on one of the many sun loungers. The staff work really hard and are extremely friendly without exception, the lovely Leyla arranged our transfer and was there to meet us when we arrived after 11pm with a smile and was there to say good bye yesterday when we left. We stayed B and B and the breakfasts were simple but delicious, we had lunch most days by the pool which was both of a high quality and very good value for money. We ate twice in the evening at the hotel, once al a carte and the second time at the Turkish night and on both occasions the food was as good if not better than other restaurants I have eaten in whilst in Turkey. Do not miss the Turkish night as at £10 is was a bargain with loads of great fun, excellent entertainment and really good food. The couples and families staying at the hotel were also really friendly, really sociable and many I would class as residents as they come to hotel year on year and one couple came at least three times a year - that says something about how good this hotel is! I will certainly return to the Leytur again as this is the most relaxed and enjoyable week I have had for ages and would feel more than confident recommending this hotel to any of my friends.

Room Tip: we stayed on floor 3 with lovely views of the pools and surrounding mountains, all the rooms are wit...

We stayed here last year and had a wonderful time. The hotel is lovely, really reasonable and the foods great! Layla and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay fantastic. The location is perfect, we also hired a car, there is plenty to see and do the area is stunning. Will be going again! Lindsey & Lee.

We stayed at the Leytur between 7th & 26th May 2013 having a brilliant time on what was our third visit there. The hotel has a winning formula and Leyla, her husband, and all her staff work extremely hard to ensure everything is in place for guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday from the minute they arrive until they leave for home.

One of the natural ingredients to the winning formula is quite simply the location which attracts the sun over the lovely pool from very early on after rising over the fantastic mountain backdrop till late in the evening as it falls over the valley below.

On this visit we had 10 relatives book on our recommendation and they all found the Leytur exactly as we have described it, and they all can't wait to return. Additionally my daughter, partner and 11 month grandson who were booked into an Olu Deniz hotel transferred to the Leytur and want to go back later in the year with my son and his partner!!!

The hotel clearly appreciate that providing excellent customer service, friendliness, cleanliness, beautiful gardens, value for money and high quality food.& drink will persuade visitors to return and indicates why guests are more than happy to go back again and again. Leyla and staff very many thanks for looking after us all especially Oliver & James.

Generally whilst we were on holiday the prices of trips, food, transport etc have not increased for a number of years and the exchange rate was at least 2.70 lira to the £ (lira = 37p). Also we must mention the Shine Indian restaurant in Hisaranu, we have never tasted better!!.

We hope that you find this review helpful and enjoy your holiday whatever you chose.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to have a view of the pool. There are a number of family rooms with adjoining rooms s...

Just come back from my first stay here, and am already looking to book again for next year. I can't say enough good things about this fantastic hotel. Layla and all her staff could not do enough for us, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The hotel is perfectly located, half way between Fethiye and Olu Deniz, with Dolmus passing every few minutes. There are shops/restaurants within walking distance, but for quality of food, and beautiful sunsets, dinner in one of the restaurants overlooking Olu Deniz beach are a must.

This hotel is perfect for groups of all sizes, from singles, couples and larger families - I can't recommend it enough!

Another fantastic holiday at Leytur. Very friendly, very clean, as always. My fourth visit as I love the quiet location and the gardens are getting more mature and wonderful. Local bus service with very regular buses make it easy to visit all the tourist attractions and local unspoilt villages. Everyone is made to feel welcome so it's easy just to relax by the large pool and bar. Made many friends whilst staying here. Back soon!

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, all have a pool view.
