We visited the Hotel Leytur again this year in june and it is as good as ever it was or even better.Leyla,Sukru, Egemen and the team are still keeping up the same high standards that have been present for ever.
As has been stated many times the hotel is spotlessly clean, the pool is the best, the food is as good as any in the 3 local towns, excellent staff( Halil and Egemen a great team in the bar and pool area, Ramazon, Aykut and Ercan in the raestaurant, the top class cleaning ladies and gardener, not forgetting Leyla and Sukru at the helm) and a really friendly atmosphere with really nice people, both regular returnees and first timers all mixing and making friends together. The Turkish night has always been a popular event but I would say it is even more so .Egemen,Halil and the staff do a brilliant job. There has always been a nice atmosphere around the pool but again I would say it is better. When music is played, usually from mid afternoon,it is played with thought, not simply the barmans favourite 10 discs going round and round as often happens in some venues.
The Hotel Leytur is a 3* hotel with 5* standards, run by a first class management and staff, resulting in a great friendly atmosphere with friendly happy people, most of who return for more, time and time again.

Stayed here in May for 11 nights, loved the hotel was with my husband and friends family. Hotel and rooms spotless, lovely big pool, ate here many times and food was always lovely. Staff always will to help with no problem so would highly recommend. Location good as bus always there to go to next towns, looking forward to returning next year. Lovely touch from the cleaners leaving flowers everyday. Went at start of seaso so ddnt see what entertainment was like.

The leytur is a good hotel which is great value for money. Stayed as a family of four in a family room which was plenty big enough and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Pool area is excellent and kept beautifully clean. The owner is very helpful and there is a lot of repeat custom. The location is set back from the road and there is easy access to the local dolmus. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in this part of turkey.

We stayed at the Leytur in July and had a lovely time. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are lovely. The pool is a nice size with lots of sun beds, however, the sun beds get filled quickly so you may have to get up early to put towels out). The breakfast is pleasant with plenty available.
It is located in ova ink about a 30minute walk into Hisaronu. You can however, get the dolmius into Hisaronu, Olu Deniz or Fethiye. It's very cheap for the buses and they come frequently.
The staff are very pleasant and we enjoyed staying at this hotel.

I have spent 11 nights at the Leytur hotel along with my family from July 22nd to August 2nd, and it was a great stay. Everything was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the cleaners cleaned the rooms everyday and sometimes left the towels in lovely shapes and patterns which was nice. Are rooms were very clean and a good size so was the bathroom however there is not a mini fridge or TV in the rooms. The restaurant food was excellent, we ate there every night all the food was fresh and enjoyable. The pool was a good size along with a baby pool and a lot of sunbathing beds, however they do get full up quite quick in the morning. The hotel had lovely grounds and garden areas which were lovely and well kept by the Gardner. The hotel has a bar which was good, you can eat from there any time you want but quite expensive than the usual prices outside. The hotel is located on a nice hill so its not that hot compared to the city centre. The hotel is very quite and relaxing as its up on a hill so you wont be disturbed by any loud music or crowds, however the hotel can get a bit boring at night as it has not got much night life. The hotel is great distance from all of the city centres, such as Oludeniz, Fethiye and Hisaronu and very close to Dalaman airport (about 1hour). The bus stop which takes you any where you want is just right by the Hotel about 2 minutes walking distance. Overall we had a great stay at the Leytur Hotel and I would recommend any one to go as im sure you will have a great time and not be disappointed.

A well managed & fantastic value for money hotel on a plateau just off, and overlooking, the Fethiye to Olu Deniz main road. The gap between the hotel & road is undeveloped thus allowing views over the adjacent hills. The sea is not visible, as it is hidden behind the same hills.

On the plus side the entire hotel is fabulously clean and kept clean on a daily basis. The two cleaners & the husband of one who maintains the lovely gardens and fabulous pool are delightful people and take their jobs seriously. The same quality of care is true of the two waiters. The hotel also has a book exchange library and an interesting photo timeline of its development and expansion

The Leytur provides good Turkish breakfasts of cheeses, bread, olives, salami, yogurt, tomatoes, eggs, fried potato’s, juice, tea, & coffee from a help yourself buffet. There is plenty of it, albeit the menu is the same every day. Evening meals are also available, and based on my one experience of eating in; very good. There is a mix of Turkish and British food, set menus, or a la carte. The open sided breakfast room/restaurant overlooks the pool

The bedrooms are a reasonable size with generous wardrobe and draw space and lead to a reasonably sized balcony with room for two. The bathroom had a western WC’s & splendid double sized showers. All rooms have air-con, and a small safe, albeit for a modest additional charge

On the down side the hotel entrance is about 170 ft from the main road up a steep hill, which might trouble some. And the road is the first straight following a long twisty climb from Fethiye, so high speeds, over-taking, and traffic drone are the inescapable consequence. But on the plus side there are bus stops in both directions

The hotel is in a residential area, and the first (or last) in Ovacik. So whilst quiet it is also distant from nearby nightlife, and lacking in interesting places for an evening stroll other than the main road or residential (gravel) streets. In the distance you can make out Hisaronu. A place well avoided unless you like Blackpool on steroids.

I have no major issues with the Leytur, but do have issues with the adjacent & separately owned Hotel Leda. Every evening for hour after hour, the Leda pumped out endless Turkish pop music via a huge sound system. I saw and heard very few guests at the Leda so could not work out why, and concluded it was to entertain the Leda staff or provoke the guests and stakeholders of the Leytur. At times it was headache inducing, but mainly ended around midnight. It would not have been tolerated in the UK and nor should it be in Ovacik. I put a separate post about this on the Leda page

We sometimes felt it was a struggle to find information at the hotel on local sites and activities. Our requests were quite basic & not onerous, but we were left to solve these in other ways. We also struggled for help when something of our daughters blew off our balcony, was found by the gardener, but then taken (presumably by a guest) from the place he had put it. We were disappointed by these small aspects but enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the Leytur

I would add that the area between Fethiye & Olu Deniz has become Anglicised and spoiled. The changes in the 15 years since I was last in this area are incomprehensible. The dirt track to Olu Deniz is long gone and so too a lot of the areas charm. That said the local people have great charm & Fethiye remains a great little town, that whilst catering for tourists, does not depend on them. There are also some genuine gems of places (all accessible by public transport) along the coast if you can be bothered to find them. So have the confidence to ignore the mindless tours and shepherding tactics of touts, do your research, and go find them. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We were in Room 333 in the most recent part of the hotel. I'd recommend it, but bewares the nois...

I holidayed with "2soon" at this amazing hotel (yes, I'm the one who had the allergic reaction!) and I can't wait to go back! I cannot agree more with what he has written, a very honest review. This was our first trip to the Leytur Hotel and it will not be our last. Every moment was enjoyable and some new friendships were formed - what more can you ask for? If you are travelling to the region, then this hotel is a must.
