“if you don't spend, you get ignored”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 September 2010

There are lots of good reviews of this hotel, which is surprising to me. The price is very good, and the hotel itself cannot be faulted in terms of pool area and rooms. What is a major problem is the attitude of staff, who can be RUDE, especially if you are not spending money at the hotel. They watch you carefully when you come into the hotel after a day out to make sure you are not bringing food and drink in, and if you don't stick around the hotel and spend money, they don't want to know you. This gets to ridiculous levels, e.g. for our last two nights, the barman would not even look in our direction and ignored us. This is quite deliberate and related to how much time/money you spend at the hotel. If you like to stay at a hotel and spend your money and time there, you will be treated well and the Leytur will work for you. If not, watch out, you will be treated rudely and pretty much ignored.

We stayed at the Leytur end of July into August and were very impressed with the standard of the hotel. We stayed in the new block and it was amazing. Our bags were carried up and down for us which was lovely as we arrived very early into the morning!
The cleaners were brilliant, helpful and friendly as were all the staff. The bar staff made you feel very welcome, especially Hassan. Leyla was always on hand if you had any problems and enjoyed a good laugh!
The pool was clean and we always found a sunbed no matter what time.
Derek was a lovely bloke who was making the most of being on his own on holiday! Met some lovely people at the bar, debs and Wally, Penney and Jamie, Doug, Jen paul and martin! Had lots of laughs around the bar.

It was a lovely place to stay, all the guests got on well and I would definatley go back there again if I visit Turkey.

This was my second trip to this hotel my first being with a (ex)girlfriend. This time it was me, my son (13) and my nephew (14).

Felt a bit daunted about this holiday as its the first time i have been away as the only adult in charge of two teenager. I had no need to worry as they loved the hotel and pool and soon found people to play with while the other people staying there were chilled and very pleasant company and didn't mind the stange man on his own with his silly flowery hat and made me feel very welcome.

We arrived early and were met by Leyla who not only remembered me and welcomed me with a hug but gave me the same room I had last time with the great view and even remembered some photos I had taked with a duck (long story) on my previous visit.

The pool has been extended with shallow steps leading into it making it easier for young or infirm people to get in. There were plenty of lilos left by other guests for anyone to use and gaining a sunbed was never a problem with anyone laying near very amiable and willing to chat. One young woman had been left there by her husband cos of work commitments and she had a mischievous little son called Zak who ran her ragged :). We left you a waterpistol for him I hope you got it Zak.

As others have said it is a great place to chill with all the local hotspots a short dolmus ride away and dirt cheap to. Food is good, beer comes in at less then £2 and yes i know it is cheaper at other bars and restaurants but it is standard price for most of the hotels there. The staf Hasan, Halil and the other were all hard working and fun if a little cheeky with the girls sometimes but all harmless friendly fun.

Alas the only thing missing on my holiday was my new girlfriend (it was too short notice for her to come) who would of loved the hotel and the views of the sun setting behind the mountains from our balcony. Who knows maybe next year.

Had a brill holiday at the Leytur Hotel with my sister. The hotel is spotlessly clean and rooms are good, with a good view over the pool and mountains. Excellent place to chill. The location is great as you can either go to Olu Deniz, Hisanouru, or go the other way to Fethyie where you can catch the wee water taxi to Calis Beach where there is a lovely breeze on the beach. We ate in the hotel every night and the food was excellent.

Met the increasingly famous Derek too, although when we were there he was not the DJ, but was spotted behind the bar a few times, we left before the quiz night and DJ started unfortunately. All in all a great place to go and Leyla and husband were lovely. Would defo go back and highly recommend it.

Stayed at the Leyur after having read reviews on Trip Advisor. Couldnt Fault the Hotel. The rooms were small but more than fitted the bill. They cleaners did an excellent job of looking after the rooms and clean towels were provided daily. It is situated at the end of Overcik but with the dolimus running every 5 mins or less it wasnt an issue. We also ate at the hotel on a few occassions and found the food also at a good standard with plenty of variety. All of the staff were very helpfull and couldnt do enough for you. Leyla the owner we always found to be on hand if you needed advice of any kind. Hassan the barman was very entertaining and got on well with all the guests.
I would deffinately recommend a trip to Fetyhie and go to the fish market where by you buy whatever sea food you wish and then it is cooked by any of the restaurants around the market along with Garlic bread fresh salad at a very reasonable cost. So good we wwent back the next night. Overall couldnt fault this Hotel and would certainly consider returning.

Trip advisor helped us to choose Hotel Leytur for our holiday so I thought I'd return the favour! I really couldn't fault the hotel, we were made to feel very welcome right from the moment we arrived. We travelled with our two boys, aged 11 and 12 and had extended family also staying at the hotel. Leyla was on hand to welcome us and was always available if you needed to speak to her. Hassan, Sada, Halil. Fathma and all the other staff were very friendly and we felt well and truly looked after. The hotel caters for a mixture of ages and has a variety of room sizes - the rooms were lovely and well air conditioned, cleaned everyday and towels changed regularly. The restaurant was great - do try the 'flaming' Leytur Special Kebab. Loved Derek's pub quiz but missed the turkish night although heard it was good! Roll on next year! There w
