.We started this holiday with an open mind,the holiday hadn't cost much and we didn't know what to expect. We were made welcome by the hotel staff, Sergio,Appo,Shrek and the doorman whose name we have forgotten. They were such a friendly bunch and nothing was too much trouble for them,anything to make your stay more enjoyable.We had a fantastic time and met lots of other holidaymakers who were also impressed.If you have the pleasure of staying there please let Shrek know that Cath has little Shrek hanging in her car. Love to you all and will see you sometime soon.xxx

Room Tip: small hotel so all rooms are fine

was a last minute booking just wanted to get away from the british weather, arrived at the balkaya and it looked ok, the room given to us had leaking aircon, and couldent get on balkany because door wouldnt open, so changed rooms and it had evereything you needed, rather than call this place on this site we told the manager soloman face to face, any problems we had, and i have to say were sorted, its a pitty but if a brit ran this place it would be rockin, because its only small things that let this place down, like not keeping the beer cold turks dont seem to grasp this, anyway when it was cold it was very refreshing, the food was bland there again a little thought and it could of been good, its the little things but it was the other guest that made this a brilliant holiday for us, just like to mention the crew from plymouth very brainy children father and son from belgum, manchester, london,charlton,croydon,wales,salt of the earth those people.must also thank shrek, not a full shilling, sergio loved himself,and apo on my wavelenth had a right laugh with him about flying tortoises: gardash, also must mention the turkish familys in the hotel exellent, would we go back to the balkaya, not on your nelly,would we go back if the above people were there at the same time, we would book tomoz thanks barry and lynn

We didnt pay 5* money and we didnt get a 5* hotel but having said that it was clean, well kept and the staf were the most helful people I have ever come across, as were all the natives. The breakfast was ok and we ate lunch and dinner there a few times and the food was absolutely lovely. The staff made a fuss of everybody and while sitting at the bar introduced people to each other as they arrived and included all visitors in the conversations and created a party atmosphere for all to join in. It was well worth the money we paid and we would definately go there again.love it or hate it .we love it ...thanks.

Wasnt the best hotel but knew it wasnt going to be 5 star and you only get what you pay for! When we arrived must have been given the worse 2 rooms in the hotel but to be fair they changed them the next day and was quite happy. The pool was great in a good position with sun all day. Didn't have to get up early to get a sunbed. Real blessing when on holiday. The food the 1st day was horrid served on a plate with no choice and only a main meal but every day after it was a buffet style but still not much choice. I liked most of the meals served but prefer to eat the Turkish food however not a great taste for the kids and did get a bit repetitive after 2 weeks. They did a great BBQ during our stay though. Did force us to go out more than we probably would have done in an all inclusive hotel which is not a bad thing. Very well situated to get a dolmus to Hisoronu, Olu Deniz and Fetihye. Was a struggle to get cold drinks but apparently a new fridge was on order. All in all was one of our best holidays due to the fantastic people we met and the staff were a bit of a comedy act. This hotel is certainly what you make it and we were fortunate enough to meet Eddie and Luke who were fantastic karoke singers, great Turkish guests who taught us the dancing and provided a fab Turkish night, Julie and Mickey (what a great Birthday party), the moves from Cath and Daz and all round entertainment with Lyn and Baz. Don't expect 5 star and be open minded and you could have great fun here. Sergio, Apoo and Shrek certainly work and party hard and joined in with the fun. You could forgive them for having the odd nap at breakfast! Was quite funny watching them trying to sneak off for a kip moving from one settee to another.The rooms were cleaned and if you wanted clean towels or sheets, it was never a problem. Not really an all inclusive hotel - more like full board with some warm drinks included. If you didn't like a meal there was nothing else. Definately would go back to this area as loved it but may pay a little more and have a bit more luxury. Thanks Apoo, Sergio, Shrek and all the lovely friends we made for making us laugh soo soo much during our 2 weeks in the sun!!

Well where do i start , . Me and my son made wrong choice for sure , we booked this holiday last min for 3 weeks , the cost was 1745 hard earnd English pounds for the two of us all inclusive ,, we spent a further 1800 on eating and just getting the Duche out of this shambles of a hotel , the first few days we ate in there we had real bad guts and [--] , we decided from there on we would not eat there as its a joke and the food was always the same ,, we was eating a lot at Fryer Tucks a resturaunt/ bar on the main road which was really good and the staff couldnt do enough for us , we also went into the town for some real good meals and great fun ;
All that aside we did meet some real great people on our hols at the hotel and we all just made the best and got on with our hols . I think the best result for this Hotel would be for them to close it for 1 month for refurbishments and all the staff at the hotel must carry out the works , then one evening while they were all sleeping a Huge boulder the same size of the hotel would roll down from the top of the moutain and totally flattern the hotel and all the staff in it ,

Hey for what this cost me and my son i am gutted ,, we will return to Turkey as we both really enjoyd it and the sun is garanteed ,, but for all you thinking of hols in this area go Self catering and eat out every night , its great.

we arrived at 10pm and everywhere was in darkness,even the reception area.from there you could see that the bar was lit up.the pool and pool area had lights all around sadly these were never switched on throught our stay. we stayed 10 nights but didnt have our room cleaned until day 5,this included the bin in the bathroom.pillowcases were not changed.good points are,the pool,no long Q`s at the bar and bottled beer if you are all inc.as for food in the all inc.concept?,breakfast was turkish, which we knew.eggs?this hotel doesnt know the words,poached,scrambled,fried or omlette bolied every day.lunch!!! a plate put down to you with salad,rice or pasta and usually a piece of chicken either grilled or cassarole,no fruit or desert,paleo54 is correct about 50p worth!,peasant food!!.
the soft drinks machine was cleaned and sat on the bar empty for 2 days!!! water is bottled on a cooling machine which is fine.the hotel must have a storage tank for it because the large bottles don`t have seals on them?i marked a bottle and it was emptied 1 day and back on the cooler 2 days later?evening meal was not a choice either,1,main dish fish,chicken,processed meat balls,mousaka.soup is served with all evening meals and the good thing is watermelon and 1 desert are available .staff always seamed to skimp on replenishing the water and juice machines and it gave an overall feeling of penny pinching and having to work to a very tight budget at the customers expence,to be fair to the" waiters" this could have been a managment decission.when reading about the hotel i took it there was a dining room,wrong,all meals are served at the pool bar.the tables and chairs around the bar are old,tired and not nice but near the end of our holiday they had covers put over them at dinner time,which was nice touch!.the staff do not have uniforms which is a bit amateur and sums up the whole place.the managment do not stay at the hotel(who can blame them?) but arrive around 11,which suits the staff to a T.at breakfast time there is no need for a waiter to wait on tables in his bare feet !!! there seams to be no maintenance done to the place,light covers missing,lights not on,tiles broken.etc.it needs some work on it.the only time i took off my flipflops was when i went to bed.when i complained about the cleanliness of the hotel i was told there was only 1 cleaner! to which i said well hire more! the place needs them.to say this is a 3*hotel is a joke and i am talking turkish 3*.i also witnessed solomans shame.

Room Tip: 4 rooms face the pool,1 of them.
