“Great hotel + great staff = great holiday”
Reviewed 13 July 2012

Since the hotel has been taken over by Feret and Sedat (of Phillips Cafe Bar and Restaurant) the quality of the hotel has increased ten fold.
The rooms have all been re-deocrated and the bathrooms have been re-tiled and are looking lovely. The pool area is spotless, and the service from the staff is excellent.
As always the food at Phillips is of a high quality - their Sunday Roast is as good as, if not better than any Sunday Roast 'back home'.
The location of the hotel is perfect, literally a 2 min walk to the main street in Oludeniz and a 5 min walk (if that) to the beach...what more can you ask for? Close enough to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away not to be bothered by the music from the bars.
I can't recommend this hotel enough, I will be returning to Oludeniz in September (for the 6th time) and have already booked my room via Tahir at the Lemon Tree - who is always polite and helpful.

The lemon tree of old has disappeared. The hotel is now being run by phillips bar and cafe. Rooms have had a spruce up, and all the bathrooms re-tiled. The rooms are still quite basic, but clean and tidy. The pool area is clean and very quiet during the day. So what are you waiting for? Rooms at a good price too. Combine a good hotel with an excellent restaurant and its a good recipe for success. We will be back next year.

The Lemon Tree is a quiet location 2 minutes walk from beach. Oludeniz Beah it has a large selection of restaurants, bars, water sports, paragliding, boat trips, scuba diving. The hotel has twenty rooms with air conditioned, swimming pool, restaurant, pool bar and snack bar, safe box, pool table, children play area. The people there were very very nice nothing was to much trouble no matter what time of day it was.

Room Tip: Every room has a balcony which faces the pool, the rooms are very basic with a shower and toilet in...

We have stayed at the lemon tree for the last five years and can't wait to return for a sixth.Mustafa and his team certainly know how to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere around the place. The food in the restaurant was excellent and I would recommend the steaks.Overall a great holiday with some very happy memories.

Didn't stay at the Lemon tree but ate there 3 times last year - it was really good.
Lovely food, friendly staff, good value. Ate there this time from set menu - horrible. We shared a meze to start - potato salad and some dip. Then I tried the Iskendar kebab which shoule be the lamg from the "elephants leg" with a sauce on pitta bread with yoghurt. The bread it came on was sliced white bread and the meat was tough and black at the edges - obviously not fresh. I was bad for a couple of days after this.
I think it is different staff there now - but the whole place says cheap. Wouldn't eat or stay there again

We had a fairly last minute booking and were struggling to find availablity in Oludeniz due to July being peak season. After emailing several hotels with little or no luck, I emailed Lemon Tree directly asking if they had any rooms available and they replied back straight away. The woman I was chatting to was friendly and offered us a fairly reasonable price so we immediately accepted and booked our room.
All was well apart from when we arrived at the hotel at 2am, only to be told that there were no rooms available and they had no record of us booking a room. We were cross (and tired) to say the least and showed him the emails. The guy immediately apologised and said this was due to lack of communication the receptionist had not told anyone we were coming. We ended up waiting around for a very long time until they finally told us we would have to sleep in another hotel for the night, and arranged for us to stay in the Turk Hotel opposite (lovely hotel by the way).
By the next day everything seemed to be sorted out and we were shown to our room. It wasn't the nicest of rooms especially for what we were paying. Instead of a double bed there were 2 singles pushed together, the walls were flakey, cuboard smelt rotten we did not use it at all, and the bathroom was cracked and leaky. We had a tv in our room but no hairdryer which I found really annoying. The rooms were cleaned daily which was good, however to be honest I think the hotel is in real need of a good renovation. The cleaner always left the window hanging wide open aswell, and since we were on the ground floor I was always worried someone would steal our things, which would have been extremely easy to do.
There were also a few occassions we returned to find creatures in our bathroom. There was a slug on our shower wall which we managed to get rid of fairly easily, however the following night there was a huge bug in the bathroom which only managed to fit under the bin. We were disgusted at some of the bugs we found walking about our bathroom it was not pleasant taking a shower.
Apart from the room, there was one staff member who really made our stay unpleasant. I do not know his name, but he was short and almost bald. He was never friendly and when he saw us he would only demand money. We paid for our first week, and said we would pay for our second week later (this was agreed in email). He was not happy with this arrangement and made it very clear to us. He would follow us around, rub his fingers together and get quite aggressive. He made us feel so much like criminals that we spent as little time as possible in the hotel, mainly to change and sleep. Towards the end of the first week I was so upset I wanted to move hotels, however we could not seem to find any that had free rooms and in our price range. So we stuck it out, and paid the rest of the money. It felt like throwing good money away we were treated so awfully he did not deserve a penny of it. Ater we had paid he did not say a word to us for the rest of the holiday and mostly glared at us when we walked past.
I have to mention that the other man who runs the hotel (very tall) was very friendly and always welcoming towards his customers, so we enjoyed chatting to him.
We will never stay at the Lemon Tree again, I honestly feel like I have wasted hundreds of pounds on an awfully holiday. I love Oludeniz and had a great time away from the hotel, but this one man really ruined it for us. He has bad manners and treated us so badly that we would never advise anyone to stay there.
