“An excellent Hotel with friendly staff and great service”
Reviewed 28 May 2011

We stayed at Hotel Greenland from the 9th - 16th May inclusive.
We had never been to Turkey before and following our stay at Hotel Greenland in Ovacik, Dalaman I can honestly say we will be going back.
The hotel staff were excellent and truly made the hotel a great one. They were all so friendly and helpful and always willing to help in any way they can. You were never made to feel that you were just 'another guest' to them.
The hotel itself was spotless and the rooms were fantastic, they were clean and had everything you could want.
The hotel has two swimming pools of good size and plenty of sun beds available.
The hotel is an all inclusive hotel and I can assure you that you would not go hungry if you stayed there. The selection of food was wide and varied and made fresh.
Entertainment was on every night we were there from a traditional Turkish night to Bingo and quizzes. The entertainments manager was fantastic and we had a laugh every single night.
The hotel itself is in a good location and with the buses that run so frequently from down the road you can easily get anywhere you want for a few lira.
I would most definately reccomend Hotel Greenland to anyone from groups of friends to fanilies to couples. If your looking for a friendly atmosphere with clean surroundings in a comfortable setting, Hotel Greenland is the place for you.

Room Tip: We stayed in a double room for two.

stayed at greenland for a week last week... had a lovely time, when we got to our room at 3am we were pleased as they were spacious and had a flat screen telly.. the bathroom was also fitted with a hair dryer and there was a shower not bath so i thought that was good aswell..
when we went for breakfast there was such a wide variety. bread, vcereals sausages, boiled eggs every day lots of jams and honey. there was also a chef cooking omlettes, pancakes and fried eggs every day. i am a fussy eater and after reading the reviews i was worried that i wasnt going to like the food but i couldnt complian at all..

the 2 things i would complain about is that you cant just walk out of the hotel and be close to the town its a 5 min bus trip but they are so cheap like 40p or something.. and the other thing was the weather!!!! it wasnt really very hot.
would advise anyone to go to this hotel and we paid 400 all inclusive so i think it was great for the money.

Find out about the local history, not much information was forthcoming from the tour representative, oops, holiday advisor. there is so much to see locally and cheaply without the need to be organised. Hotel staff were very efficient but always seemed to after a tip.
Food was very good and there was plenty of it no matter what time you got to the restaurant.
We found the evening entertainment a bit dated but that is not really our scene anyway, the staff appeared to try very hard to please.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the maids were first class.
We will certainly go there again.

Room Tip: Don't know

This is our second year staying at this hotel. Having read some of the previous reviews i'm going to be as honest as i can.
Since staying here last year the rooms in the hotel have been completely modernised and are finished in a contemporary style and look very high class.
Yes this hotel is on a hill and yes the hill is quite steep but not imposible and if you can't manage taxi's are very cheap in Turkey and will take you right to the door.
The food in this hotel is excellent but bear in mind it's Turkey and you won't get the good old fashioned fry up. you have loads of variety both hot and cold and you will not go hungry.
The entertainment team are great and you will have a good laugh, young and old are included from darts to shooting swimming and even bingo.
You will need warmer clothes at night for this time of year as it gets cold at night but during the day it's great nice and hot. The staff are great and very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. All in all this hotel is superb and i will be back next year.
