“An excellent return holiday.”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

This was our third stay at this hotel and once again exceeded all our expectations.
We emailed our room requests to the hotel prior to our visit and as well as getting our room with a double bed we were delighted to find we had a jacuzzi bath with a shower over and a picture window with blinds between bathroom and bedroom and supplied with complementary toiletries and a hair drier. The only thing was that the bath was a bit slippery and when we asked at reception we were informed that they do not have non slip bath mats. We did look in local shops but could not find one.
It was a quiet peaceful room on the 3rd floor in block 6 overlooking the woods and hills. it was lovely to wake up to hear the birdsong and if you woke early enough which I often did, to see locals herding up to 100 goats down from the mountains with their bells jingling.
There was a flat screen TV, plenty of storage space, complementary air conditioning and a mini fridge.
Our room was kept immaculately clean and on many occasions we found our bed decorated
with towel animals and flowers and on one occasion it was the most picturesque and spectacular display we had ever seen, covering almost every inch of the bed.
The restaurant as on previous visits did not disappoint with a good choice of food at all meals which was freshly cooked and replenished.
Aslan the Maitre D' and his team including Emrah, Lekay, Berkay, Cunayt and Ozzy were all friendly and extremely helpful.
Snacks were provided mid afternoon in both pool areas - there were hot snacks and a selection of biscuits and pastries, and soup was served by the lower pool bar at 11.30pm.
There was a large improvement to the coffee stations around the hotel by the introduction of new coffee machines and fruit juice machines.
The Tipsy Turtle bar was a good meeting place to watch some of the entertainment and dance the night away afterwards. This area could still benefit from new stage lighting as well as mood lighting to enhance the atmosphere instead of bare bulbs in some cases.
The entertainment was provided by Hasan (Oh my gott!!!), DJ and Sezer, and also Sehey the childrens entertainer. There were some inhouse entertainment and several good shows brought in, dance troupes etc held in the ampitheatre. All in all the entertainment was enjoyable and although DJ did a great job it would be nice to have a greater variety of music to suit the different age groups. One night we did ask for some 70s/80s music and this went down really well. Sezer was a star doing his gangnam style dances - what a star!
Thanks to Riza, Tommy, Sercan and Kubulay for us supplied with drinks at the Tipsy Turtle.
For a more relaxing evening the Terrace Bar was an ideal venue - it was nice to sit and chat in a peaceful atmosphere. Many people read, played cards etc here and it is also nice to sit here and watch the sunset after the heat of the day.
Many thanks to Derya and Busra for being so friendly and helpful whilst serving us at the Terrace Bar.
A bonus to this hotel is having the 2 pools - the lower activity pool which tends to be livlier and the top chill and swim relaxation pool for those wanting a quiter holiday. An asset to this pool area is that several days a week fresh savoury and sweet pancakes are made during the day and are well worth trying. A tip is always well received and deserved by these 2 hard working ladies.
It was great to meet up with friends (staff and holiday makers) from previous years and also to make many new friends. A new friend and companion made this year was Bella, a spaniel type puppy who does the tour of sun beds and other areas for a fuss and hopefully a titbit. She soon got to know I liked my early morning swim and was waiting for me by the upper pool each morning and liked a siesta on or under a sun bed in the afternoon. Miss you Bella X
It was nice to see the owner and manager making themselves known to guests around the hotel
and welcoming return guests if they saw them.
Finally a thank you to Josef for arranging our turkish baths and massages at the Pasha Spa Centre. As before we cannot recommend this highly enough. We always come out feeling relaxed and pampered. There is a good choice of pamper and spa treatments to meet all needs. The staff are really friendly and a special thank you to Zeynel the owner for picking us up and welcoming us back and Shelay for her big hugs.
We always enjoy our stay at Greenland Hotel and cannot wait to return soon.

Room Tip: For a quiet location choose block 6 or 7 and premier rooms are worth paying the extra for.

We have just returned from 10days at the Hotel Greenland. After reading so many amazing reviews of the hotel, we were very excited to go, but I must say that our own experience at the hotel does not compare to those already expressed here. For us the hotel was good, and the overall experience was again good, but we were not completely won over during our time there. To get the negatives out of the way first, we found the food rather repetitive and the swarms of flies landing on things did put us off. There were no drinks supplied daily in the fridge in the room, but you were informed not to take drinks up to the room with you, which we ignored. However it wasn't ideal having to ration yourself to one glass of contraband to last you the evening-night-morning. Also we had a room in the block opposite reception, and so it was rather noisy as the evening entertainment finished but revellers stayed in the bar. The biggest negative for us was that this holiday did not offer us the peace and relaxation we had been after when booking it; it was very busy during our stay, and quite hectic. We were so looking forward to enjoying the top quiet pool and lazing the days away but were not able to do this when we soon found that this pool was not so quiet after all! There was a group of young teens staying at the same time of us who were extremely rowdy around this pool, dive bombing, swearing, shouting, kicking balls across the whole of the pool etc etc. A few days later, one of the other guests made a complaint to the hotel staff, who merely said okay then walked off. Another guest then later complained to another member of staff, but again nothing was done. It is a shame as I know that quite a few of the guests around this quiet pool were getting their feathers ruffled by the lack of action by the staff. What is the point in advertising a quiet pool if there is no quiet?!

Moaning out the way, we did find the room to be extremely clean, well sized and comfortable. Air con was a god send, even got a bit chilly in the night, which was a treat in 40degree heat! The staff were incredibly friendly and amazingly hard working. We loved seeing the little hotel pets roaming around. The surrounding areas was lovely, great views from all round the hotel. The bus service is fantastic and so cheap.

So overall we did have a good time, but were a little disappointed that small things did not let this hotel live up to its high reputation on TripAdvisor.

just returned from a 11 day holiday at this wonderful hotel with my husband. the rooms were clean, spacious and the air conditioning was a blessing. all staff members were so friendly and happy to help to make the holiday as perfect as possible. All inclusive was simple but effective. good choice of foods at all meals and snacks throughout the day. we used both pools but preferred the top pool as it was more peaceful here, however both pools have areas to get drinks a plenty and have comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas. we also used the bus to the beach which was a 15 min bus journey away. the beach was worth a visit for the day. the surrounding area of Greenland was so picture-esk, no matter where you were the views were lovely. after a day by the pool it was lovely to also relax in the shade swinging gentle in the hammocks located around the grounds. Overall me and my husband have had a peaceful, relaxing holiday and would defiantly recommended this hotel to others. thank you Greenland for an amazing 11 days.

Just returned today from 7 days of relaxing and drinking from the greenland hotel, the staff were really helpful and always smiling, special thanks to Joseph who recommended to us the Turkish bath which was great, (1st time had one and loved it) the bar staff on the night were great, spoke to 007 who was a nice guy. Cesar and his cousin were fantastic for the entertainment on the nights, always dancing and joking and keeping the children happy,
Food and alcoholic drinks was very good with varied selection, we spent a lot of time in the top pool as we had no kids, but have already booked again today to return end of July 2014 with out teenage boys, last thing to mention is we met some fantastic people there who helped make our holiday great, be back July 2014

We returned on 2/8/2013 after having 11 days at this lovely hotel. We upgraded our rooms before we went and could'nt have asked for better. We had room 639 and our daughter & son-in-law had 638. We over looked the top pool which we found better for us as we did'nt have children. It was so clean everywhere and the staff so friendly. Rooms clean and lovely size. There is a hill up to this pool and the rooms but it is shaded and not to bad if taken at a slow pace. Food we found good. We never had a bad meal. Sometimes found there was to much choice that we did'nt know what to have. Drinks good, not watered down and the beer was ok. Afternoon snacks, good selection but only thing they could do is ice-creams for the children (and adults). We took taxi's to oludeniz beach the one day but it was a pebble beach we did'nt know, so i would'nt recommend this beach. The shops are ok. We went to Hisaronu one evening, this has lots of shops and bars. The other trip was to Fethiye which we loved. There is a bus that takes you to a sandy beach from the hotel which we did'nt get to. They also supply towels for 10tl which you get back at the end of the holiday and you can change them every day. There are a few shops in walking distance if you wont to for a walk. We had a fab time and would recommend it to friends and family and would deffo go back. Thanks Greenland for a lovely holiday.

Room Tip: The rooms near top pool are bigger with less noise.

Spent 2 weeks at this hotel in June, & had a great time. It is in a very pretty setting with lovely pine trees all around for shade and lovely mountain views. Its very clean & even though the rooms are small they are decorated and furnished to a good standard. Very comfortable beds. Food was very good, as always with all inclusive, gets a bit repetitive but there was always plenty of choice, There is tea & coffee making facilities at both the pools as well as the pool bars which were always well stocked & clean. The hotel is warm friendly & well worth a visit.

Room Tip: upgrade to rooms at the quiet pool as they are more sunny"
