“Yet again the best holiday ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 October 2013

This is my second time visiting Monta Verde. Again the best holiday ever. The staff are excellent, the management are great and the surroundings are excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful. The food is excellent too. I stayed in the villa for 2 weeks in September. Bora the manager and Esra are both lovely people. Always within the hotel and ready to help at any point.

I am booking again to return next year which will be my third year running. The hotel is set in Ovacik which is a beautiful part of turkey. Not too busy not too quiet. Within walking distance to hisaronu. The hotel is lovely and quiet, no loud party's or noise. They have entertainment on at nights for all ages. Wifi is available also.

Would highly recommend Monta Verde and I look forward to returning next year!!!!!

Room Tip: Villas are beautiful. Deluxe rooms are excellent too.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Monta Verde Hotel for 9 days in September and it was really good value for money considering we paid £360 each for B&B with flights and transfer! Warm welcome at hotel on arrival, room was quite standard but kept clean (fresh sheets and towels everyday). The hotel staff were really friendly and make an effort to talk to you. There is also entertainment in the hotel at night which usually good fun! Weather was perfect to at 30 degrees which gradually increased to 34-36 degrees.

Breakfast was ok, a selection of hot food (beans, sausages etc), toast, pancakes, omelettes, fruit, tea and fruit juices. It was served untili 9:45 so could have a lay in too!

I recommend the Turkish bath within the hotel spa, it was a great experience and perfect when you want to have a relaxing day!

The only downfall of the hotel was the local mosque call for prayer at 6am everyday, but this happens all over Turkey so you will hear it wherever you stay!

The hotel is acutally located in Ovacik but Olu Deniz is only a 10 min trip by bus.The beach is breath taking although it is pebble (so take good sandals/shoes with you), make sure you go round to the blue lagoon, it is amazing!!

The night life is good, you can have a good night out in hisariou and Olu Deniz. Some nice restaurants and cocktail and karaoke bars there.

There is loads of trips to do in Olu Deniz, we did the jeep safari and sunset cruise which were really good days and made the holiday really. But try space out your trips as we were so tired after all day trips!

All in all I would recommend this hotel and holiday destination as I had such a fantastic holiday and good value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms but the 'silent pool area' are the quietest as the rooms nearer the bar have music pla...

Just got back from a great week in Ovacik, Turkey. The hotel is in a brilliant location it is in walking distance of the town of hisaronu which has plenty of shops, bars, restaurant's, hair and nail salons. The beach in Olu Denzi is about a 10min ride on the bus which stops outside the hotel, the bus is about 2.75TL (less than £1) and to Fethiye the main town it is about 3.50TL. I have been to the hotel before but this year we stayed in a villa, as mentioned in a previous comment it can be noisy if you are staying on the road side but not bad enough to keep you awake. The villa was very clean, the cooking facilities aren't great but good enough to get by for a week. The staff are something else, they are all amazing and so welcoming, as i said this was are second time and they treated us like long lost friends, my parents also came with us this time and they were so helpful with them. Really couldn't ask for nicer staff! The spa is lovely and relaxing had an hour long massaged £15, can't beat it. We did quite a few of the trips whilst there, would highly recommend the Daylan trip to the mud baths and to see the turtles, best to book this in Hisaronu. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR!

Room Tip: Do ask for a room away from the road when booking.

stayed here in sept 2013.
the hotel is situated on a busy main road and you can hear the traffic most of the time.I have been to Turkey many times before and we generally stay in Marmaris. For the money we paid this was certainly sub standard compared to Marmaris. The staff are really great but as i always say there is only so much you can polish a .......get my drift?
the rooms are well kept and clean but he food on offer falls short of expectation.
there is no air con in the lobby area and by the pool side there was an area full of bean bags to relax. The only problem being is that they were filthy.
The whole complex itself is rather dated and from my view it could do with a complete refurb
the main entrance is reached via steps and if you are a wheel chair user...forget it. there is a walkway next to the steps but it is so steep, it would be very difficult to navigate if you use a wheelchair.
Overall i was not impressed by this place at all.having read all the reviews i can only imagine that the people that have stayed here have not stayed any where else in Turkey so have no comparison to make.
Another thing that really bothered us was the fact that inside the hotel they have planted trees and bushes in the walkway leading to the bedrooms. Not smart as these are a haven for mozzys and we were bitten several times

Room Tip: dont stay here

I stayed here with my husband for two weeks & would definitely return. We had a standard room which was more than adequate & always kept nice and clean by the cleaners-who seem to be constantly working!
My only two grumbles about the room (I hate to have any & theyre not exactly deal breakers) would be there was no bin in the room, (you don't realise how much you use a bin unless you dont have one!) & the hairdryer was fixed in the bathroom - the cable was drilled through the wall so you couldn't move it-it's hard to dry hair when two of you have had a shower & left the room all humid & damp-my fault for forgetting my hairdryer though!
Take earplugs - the acoustics of the hotel are echoey etc so we did hear a fair bit of noise at times, failing that, get Ege the barman to make you a mojito, it came pint sized! :)

We ate lunch at the hotel a couple of times & both times were really nice. We thought drinks were really reasonable, 6.5tl for large beer (approx £2), cocktails were 10-15tl (£3-£5), large bottle of water was about 2tl I think, maybe you can get some things cheaper elsewhere but only by a lira or two which isn't even £1 when you think about it!

The pool is lovely, really fresh and a bit bigger than I expected. There's loads of beds, hammocks and sunbeds dotted around & we never had a problem getting one.

I had a few treatments in the hotel spa by Gencay, all excellent, the £30 deal is such a bargain and so worth it, i think it was the best Turkish bath I've had!

We found the location perfect with a good 15min walk to Hisaronou (it helps to walk off all the food!) & plenty of restaurants etc on the way. The Dolmus bus stops outside the hotel every 5mins & goes to Hisaronou etc, also I think it worked out to less than £2 for both of us to go to Olu Deniz one way and only pennies more to go to Fethyie.

The staff here all seem genuinely lovely & attentive, Memmet (sorry if spelt wrong) was great & likes to have a laugh & Ege the barman is entertaining constantly flexing his muscles whilst being "DJ"!
As others have commented, Bora & co make a point of remembering your names and doing the rounds, no idea how they can remember whos who but they do!

And finally Monty, such a gorgeous little puppy with an adorable character about him - the icing on the cake the hotel in my eyes! He should have his own webpage ;)

Me and my partner have just arrived back from a 12 day stay with monta verde hotel... Where do i start... The staff where deffo the biggest impact from the hotel 1st we have ege and jet who were amazing from start to finish they always had time for a chat and bit of banter and we shared many nights with them at the bar :) ( btw missing them already!!!) then we have ness from reception again BRILLIANT!!!! During evening and early morning ness was always there helping us with what ever was needed and all in all a caring person... Then soon to be the married couple the wife to be was always a smiley happy person who always asked are plans for the day husband to be always had time for a chat (they are also joint owners of the hotel) the guy who is also joint owner of hotel (sorry not good with names :s) was brilliant making sure our rooms were suitable an making sure we had all we needed then we have restaurante staff BRILLANT... (Getting the picture yet) again making sure we were comfy relaxed and anything we needed was no problem for them (I myself am a very fussy eater) but that was not a problem for them making my food as plain and simple as poss but always making the appearance look fab!!! The spa guys we had the £30 package twice!!! The staff in there were also Brill!!! Making us so relaxed through the massage ( I actually fell asleep) deffo a bargain worth having the cleaning staff always did a good job with our room fresh towels bed made floor cleaned and mini fridge topped up EVERDAY!!! The pool was fantastic lovely and clean and a brill size and. Child's pool separate evening entertainment was incredible with bingo (top prize was a week stay at monta verde!!!! ) i wish i had of won) also they had belly dancers, break dancers, latin dancers, quiz, turkish evenings were brill and spent many nights there great food selection avaliable with a brekfeast, snack and evening menu available through the whole day the hotel is based perfectly between olu deniz and fetiye 2 BIG tourist locations 20mins on shuttle ( every 5mins and dirt cheap) also a 15min walk to hissaruno all in all it's a brilliant place to go to relax or explore or shop or go to the beach or to try turkish living. 1 last and very important thing to mention is someone who every1 at the hotel fell in love with and thats MONTY he is a very loving and friendly puppy who loves to chill and play with every 1 and anything he has been adopted by the hotel and I really hope to see him next year when I return what a fantastic place with amazing staff :) who are being missed very much already 10/10 from Kirsty and Alex cya all next year 100% room 328 :D thank you for a memorable holiday

The management team have got it right here.... from the minute you enter the premises you have their undivided attention, no we will do it later here !! everything is done now!! my room was 120 ground floor, very large with quality double bed, first class matterass, en suite shower with enclosure, towels changed every day, not your norm, house keepers were just great and very friendly.
The hotels has two pools, a quiet pool if you want to chill and read, and a large livlely pool, both very clean and mantained well.
The Staff here are bordering on being perfect, no false smiles, all genuine people, even a "Bono" look alike.. Mr Dougan a diamond of a man, Muhammed will go to the ends of the earth for you, he is also very funny, thank you kindly my friend..Bar staff very attentive but Eggre needs more protein ha ha
Breakfast has something for everyone, all types of eggs, fried, omelette, pancakes done in front of you, good selection of hot food, plenty of coffee tea cereals, varied breads, all wonderfull believe me, you will be greeted every day by Borat and his fiancee Essera, they are part of the family that owns this great hotel, they both remember EVERYBODYS name, they mix to make sure everybody is happy with service, i wish them both Peace and Happiness for the future, Borats brother Barkin is always there to say hello and once again always asking is everything is ok, i think he was a bit jealous of my looks... but he will just have to live with it ha ha
Taylan and Ness look after reception and office............ and i say again.. NOTHING is to much trouble for them to help you, we all thank Ness for looking after MONTY, a stray puppy that everyone loves, bless him, dont be put off by Taylans goaty.... its stuck on !!
Entertainment on top of all this... Singers, great fire Show, Good Belly Dancer.........and bingo if you want to win a free holiday, huge selection of lunch snacks... try the Chicken shish with roasted peppers LURVLY everything is such good value, believe me..
Very central for restaurants and entertainment in Ovacik, Hisaranou 15min walk, but to noisey for me, try Aubergines 400 yards away FIRST CLASS, see trip advisor, faultless Bayran and Angela owners and very good value indeed
If you want to sleep in the sun, Monte Verde has hammocks and large double matteresses to snooze, it was very sad when we had to leave, very sad , so many Great Memories, will i be back............... You bet your life i will, Once again, thank you all for making our holiday so Special STEVE and BREN Pictures enclosed
ooops only one problem... the pool music should not come on until 1.00pm and it needs turned down a bit Thanks
Size tüm seviyorum ve yakında Steve ve Bren xxx göreceksiniz
