“Nice place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

Stayed at this hotel in September 13. Firstly the staff are really helpful and friendly especially Bora (one of the owners) and Esra his fiancé. Good luck in your forthcoming wedding. Breakfast is a notch above most Turkish hotels with a good hot and cold buffet and pancakes and omelettes by the Super Mario lookalike. There is a lovely 'chill out' pool just for adults and for quiet moments. We were in a deluxe room and it was very nice and gave you a free safe and air con but other standard rooms could be described as basic with small balconies and stools to sit on, so upgrade if you can! Well situated for the dolmus to the beach or Fethyie town. We ate mostly in town but the food for half board looked good and that in the deck bar was tasty. There is entertainment most nights which is quite variable. Would we stay there again, if we went back to Ovacik, yes!

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms away from the road are lovely and quiet.

If our previous stay in Alacati was the hidden gem that only locals know, then Oludeniz is the unhidden gem that all the British know about. I don’t think we’ve seen so many folks from the UK (outside Australia), than in this one town. Blimey!

We had heard great things about Oludeniz from friends who had honeymooned there, so we made a priority to visit, and it certainly lived up to our expectations.

We found a room in the hotel Monte Verde for 3 days, which was an ideal length for a short trip but you could easily spend a week or more and still not see all the interesting sights around this beautiful region.

The hotel was conveniently located along the main street in town and contained a large, family-friendly swimming pool, which our kids loved. Attached to the main pool was a shallow toddler pool which is ideal for younger kids. Our kids spent hours splashing around and floating on the inflatable toys provided by the hotel.

For guests without kids, there’s a separate “quiet pool” for relaxation without interruption from little guests, if so desired.

Our room was comfortable and the kids had separate beds which made it easier for them to sleep at night.

There was a bar and restaurant on-site and we tried it out for lunch one day. We also tried the buffet, the food was to be honest rather average, although the fresh kebab was delicious.

One evening after the kids had gone to sleep they were awoken by loud music coming from the pool area. Latin dancers were teaching guests how to dance which looked like fun, but it was a bit too loud for our kids. Fortunately, this was just one night, and although there was some music the next night it was noticeably quieter. Some of these kinds of hotel events are better suited if you have older kids (or no kids), but I’d still definitely consider the hotel to be family friendly for kids of all ages.

See more pictures on our blog.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the main pool for quiet evenings.

We stayed in a basic room and my son and his partner stayed in a villa in September 2013 , we enjoyed the breakfast very much and the restaurant served good food .I`ve got to say that the staff were brilliant and so helpful , especially Ness and Tyler on reception. A special mention must go to Bora and Esra, they are lovely people and welcome you with a smile every time you met them , I would certainly go back to this hotel in the future.A last word to Bora and Esra , enjoy your marriage and your life together , good luck. From Danny & Alice & Danny & Kelly.

Arrived 'home' on the 23rd September. We had booked for 2 weeks. 1st week paid for 2nd week free due to winning the bingo last year. we were immediately greeted by Nasif with the usual hug and he carried my suitcase (god knows how!) to reception again another hug from Nesrin this time before even booking in. We then booked in and was taken to our room (past the bar where a drink was now being poured by Ege for us which would be ready after dropping our bags. We then went back to the bar for our usual chats and catch up with everyone.
As usual we were treated as friends rather than guests. Nothing was too much trouble. Asked for more pillows they were there within the hour. Our room was facing the road, normally we have a room by the silent pool but were given one of these but was offered a swop if wanted, we said this room was fine. Although the road can be heard it quietens down after midnight.
While we were out there we had a thunderstorm. Very unusual at this time of year and ended up with no power through the night, candles were used to light the reception area and guests were escorted back to their rooms by torch light if requested. This was very unusual and I've only ever witnessed this in the winter while over there. It all added to the 'experience'!!!
The Turkish bath was amazing as always. Nothing was rushed and ended up spending a whole afternoon down there getting pampered. My back was bad as usual so was given a medical massage which soon fixed my pain and was off to enjoy the rest of my holiday. The owners and staff are truly brilliant, they make the hotel what it is. They get to know you, spend time talking with you and can even order chocolate cake from a stunning patisserie when cravings occur!! Nothing is ever too much trouble. Cannot write this review without the mention of Monty. He is the lovely puppy that has made the hotel his home. He was abandoned there on the day we arrived. He soon found his feet and loved nothing more than interacting with anyone and anyone who had a spare minute or so to tickle his tummy. He enjoyed chasing flip flops and lying on the loungers with people. Certainly helped with the homely feeling.
As others have mentioned there were mosquitoes this year as every year but lots more than normal. A good mosquito spray comes in handy and as long as you don't sit on the balcony in the dark with your room door wide open they don't tend to get in. We only found one in our room the entire stay and that was more to do with my other half thinking he had been born in a barn and didn't shut the door!!! We were sad to leave as always and my partner even threatened to exercise squatters rights and not move from the room! Cannot wait to go back home next year and catch up with our friends. Best advice I can give is go there willing to make friends and 'join in' and you will soon not want to leave just like all us other repeat guests!
Ooh got to mention Hussain. Someone please teach him the night night sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite thing, we tried for 2 weeks and still no joy!!!!!!
One final note, good luck Bora and Esra hope your wedding day is gorgeous and cannot wait to see the photos. Shame we couldn't be there with you. See you all again next year and relax in the winter ready to do it all again in a couple of months!!

Room Tip: If you want total peace (apart from the call to prayer this can be heard at every hotel) choose a ro...

This is my second time visiting Monta Verde. Again the best holiday ever. The staff are excellent, the management are great and the surroundings are excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful. The food is excellent too. I stayed in the villa for 2 weeks in September. Bora the manager and Esra are both lovely people. Always within the hotel and ready to help at any point.

I am booking again to return next year which will be my third year running. The hotel is set in Ovacik which is a beautiful part of turkey. Not too busy not too quiet. Within walking distance to hisaronu. The hotel is lovely and quiet, no loud party's or noise. They have entertainment on at nights for all ages. Wifi is available also.

Would highly recommend Monta Verde and I look forward to returning next year!!!!!

Room Tip: Villas are beautiful. Deluxe rooms are excellent too.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Monta Verde Hotel for 9 days in September and it was really good value for money considering we paid £360 each for B&B with flights and transfer! Warm welcome at hotel on arrival, room was quite standard but kept clean (fresh sheets and towels everyday). The hotel staff were really friendly and make an effort to talk to you. There is also entertainment in the hotel at night which usually good fun! Weather was perfect to at 30 degrees which gradually increased to 34-36 degrees.

Breakfast was ok, a selection of hot food (beans, sausages etc), toast, pancakes, omelettes, fruit, tea and fruit juices. It was served untili 9:45 so could have a lay in too!

I recommend the Turkish bath within the hotel spa, it was a great experience and perfect when you want to have a relaxing day!

The only downfall of the hotel was the local mosque call for prayer at 6am everyday, but this happens all over Turkey so you will hear it wherever you stay!

The hotel is acutally located in Ovacik but Olu Deniz is only a 10 min trip by bus.The beach is breath taking although it is pebble (so take good sandals/shoes with you), make sure you go round to the blue lagoon, it is amazing!!

The night life is good, you can have a good night out in hisariou and Olu Deniz. Some nice restaurants and cocktail and karaoke bars there.

There is loads of trips to do in Olu Deniz, we did the jeep safari and sunset cruise which were really good days and made the holiday really. But try space out your trips as we were so tired after all day trips!

All in all I would recommend this hotel and holiday destination as I had such a fantastic holiday and good value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms but the 'silent pool area' are the quietest as the rooms nearer the bar have music pla...

Just got back from a great week in Ovacik, Turkey. The hotel is in a brilliant location it is in walking distance of the town of hisaronu which has plenty of shops, bars, restaurant's, hair and nail salons. The beach in Olu Denzi is about a 10min ride on the bus which stops outside the hotel, the bus is about 2.75TL (less than £1) and to Fethiye the main town it is about 3.50TL. I have been to the hotel before but this year we stayed in a villa, as mentioned in a previous comment it can be noisy if you are staying on the road side but not bad enough to keep you awake. The villa was very clean, the cooking facilities aren't great but good enough to get by for a week. The staff are something else, they are all amazing and so welcoming, as i said this was are second time and they treated us like long lost friends, my parents also came with us this time and they were so helpful with them. Really couldn't ask for nicer staff! The spa is lovely and relaxing had an hour long massaged £15, can't beat it. We did quite a few of the trips whilst there, would highly recommend the Daylan trip to the mud baths and to see the turtles, best to book this in Hisaronu. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR!

Room Tip: Do ask for a room away from the road when booking.
