“A gem of a place in Turkey!”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Just got back from our first trip to Turkey and our first stay at Delta Beach Resort. Overall, the hotel was lovely. The staff were amazingly friendly, we received a great reception after travelling 5 hours. Osman specifically on reception, was very helpful and always greeting us with a smile. Omar, in the spa again was outstanding, no request was too much and he made us feel at home whilst enjoying our Turkish Bath and massage.
Only negative, would be the volume of music around the pool and beach front as at times it was like a disco, but this is just a picky comment really.
Overall, the hotel, staff and food was superb and would defiantly recommend this hotel going forward.

I visited this hotel beginning May and was pleasantly surprised by the excellence of the accommodation, food and service. Especially the employees of the reception, Osman, Murat and Fouad were very friendly and helpful, like the rest of the team. The bedroom was large and bright and had a balcony with sea view. The bed was good, room was cleaned daily and daily clean towels. The food was excellent and very varied. Walking distance to town around 30 minutes.

If you consider to go to this club, first of all, you should know, your vacation won't be waste. I'm planning to go there again, but at the same time i'm not planning to pay more than €75 around.
Let me explain my point of view in some cases. There are 2 pools & in front of the restaurant is nice really but it should be deeper. 2.nd one is i think for the families with children, small and not deep as the big one.
Breakfast, lunch & dinner is good i think, the meat & others are very delicious, especially the deserts :) you can find variaties of almost all tastes. There are also "a la carte" restaurant, quality & delicious.
Beach bar is very enjoying & very comfortable. You can find snacks & Turkish pizza's are really very delicious. If you don't want to climb up to main restaurant it is a nice option from 10:00-17:00
The sea & beaches are very nice & comfortable, especially the artificial sand beach is very beautiful. Be prepared to swim in a lake in the sea because the made a port & it allows you to feel you are in a pool in the sea. I also suggest you to bring your snorkells, because you are going to swim with lots of fish ;)

first of I will say the surroundings were beautiful, the hotel looks brilliant, the rooms were lovely, cleaned every day.
We went as a party of 10 all adults for a week. When we first arrived there was a full restaurant, plenty of variety for the first 2 days then downhill. There was no evening entertainment and no day time either. After 4 days we noticed furniture being moved, sunbeds disappearing as well as men with drills taking down parasols. The pool bar shut at 9. The Lion bar was not 24 hours as we found out when we tried to get coffee before an early morning trip. There was only one Ala carte restaurant open. It was when we had a group meeting with the manager the day before we came home that things altered slightly, the manager said that they were closing as it was end of season, at no point we were told we would not have what the brochure promised due to it being near closing time, we all payed our money so therefore should have had the same treatment as those who chose high season.

Having just come back from a week at Delta Beach I feel very disappointed. A family member went to this hotel in May and recommended it to us. He obviously had a far different experience from us. At no point when we booked were we informed that the hotel would be getting ready to close down for the end of season. From day one there were staff emptying rooms, transporting mattresses, fridges, TV's, sunbeds etc around the hotel, walking past where we were supposed to be having a relaxing time. The furniture and sunbeds were literally disappearing daily. The food selection got smaller and more repetitive as the week went on. Only one of the A La'Carte restaurants was open and that was not good. There was no entertainment at all. The public areas were not cleaned properly. We noticed a piece of broken glass in one of the lifts was there all week. Glasses and plates containing food were left around one of the pools for more than 24 hours. Eventually one of the guests asked for a meeting with the general manager so that the guests could let him know how they were feeling. He said he would address the issues. Within 10 minutes staff appeared with cushions for the sun loungers. We had been there 6 days and did not even realise the sunloungers had cushions! This was certainly not the 5 star treatment we were looking forward to.

I had been following this hotel for months on this site and was looking 4ward to this trip on arrival very impressed with reception downhill after that the food is shocking seems to involve chicken in all varieties the food is very repetitive defo its not 5 stars more like 2 stars the bar staff so unfriendly the waiters in food hall are brill cant do enough for you I went with the family 2 adults 3 kids its not a family hotel in my opinion it was mostly couples and if british dont bother it was full of East Europeans, french and Germans very ignorant must admit got fed up of using the lifts to get to other floors we had 2 rooms nothing special clean but poor standard no tea or coffee making facilities location was good but out of the way 90minutes from airport would go to turkey again but I would not go to this hotel everything done on cheap entertainment, food and drinks

We spent two weeks here and had a really relaxing holiday. We had a first floor deluxe room with wonderful sea view. The pools were clean but unheated, which is a pity as they were empty most of the time. The small sandy beach was delightful, clear water full of fish! Just lovely for swimming. The weather was great 25-29 degrees with just half a day of rain. Because it was end of season, the second week the food was really not the best, and often served cold on cold plates. However the salad, fresh fruit and breakfasts were very good, variety of bread was great. It would have been nice if the very loud music which boomed out all day, could have been varied, and at lower volume, likewise the evening entertainment which sounded ghastly, boomed out of large speakers just near our room. At this time of year we saw no dolmus near the hotel, but we walked into Yalikavak several times, picking up the beach road which made a pleasent walk into the town. The town was disappointing, absolutely spoilt ,in my view, by a swanky new marina, on first sight the high endless wall enclosing it, reminded me more of a prison! It dominated a vast length of beach. One highlight for my husband was that he was fortunate to see, from our balcony, 6 dolphins in the sea playing for about 10 minutes. The hotel is not perfect, nevertheless we would consider a return and would recommend as despite the niggles we had a great holiday.

Room Tip: Ideally deluxe room on first floor have have really lovely inspirational view, .I would warn there a...
