We visited this hotel in December for three days. It's a really quiet and relaxing place. The room we stayed in was huge and comfortable. We arrived late but still in time for dinner Speaking about the food-we very really satisfied with it.In my opinion there was only one negative thing there-instant coffee in the morning. Otherwise their breakfast and dinners were delicious. Personell was quite friendly and helpful. If the weather was nice dinners were outside just on the beach. The hotel is in a poor part but it has a shuttle bus to Dubai every other days and there are plenty of taxis. We recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach holiday.

Room Tip: Any room is good

It's a very basic hotel with a small beach and a medium pool!
If you want to do an affordable getaway for a weekend it's not a bad place.
Do not expect luxury or any amenities except shampoo, shower gel and soap; take everything you need.
Better to bring your own towels and ask for the wardrobe and the drawers to be cleaned before you hang your stuff.
The rooms are very big and specious with queen twin beds, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub.
Buffet Breakfast is very basic served in a big ballroom, I would suggest to chose your likings and have it outside at the beach if the weather is good.
Buffet dinner is limited; pasta, chicken, meat and rice... if you have participated in crab hunting they will bring a full plate to your table.
Lunch is served in the lobby restaurant, we didnt try. Room service is very affordable and has some food variety.
Crab hunting in the evening is fun, you will step down from the boat and walk in shalow water, bring your beach shoes as the sea floor is rocky or you can rent one there (wear shorts); you will be given a big flash light and a stick to hunt, this takes place at the nearby mangrove a short trip by boat. During the day you can do some fishing or take a boat trip or just relax at the beach if kids are not too noisy.

Room Tip: Crab hunting in the evening is good fun!

We got a Groupon deal and all I can say is you get what you pay for. Having read several other reviews, my experience was not nearly as bad as any of those! There were a group (4) of us who bought the Groupons for our children and ourselves. The hotel is located in a rather rundown section of town, and we were greeted by the cawing of crows, not flamingos! To be honest, we were pleasantly surprised when we looked around. This place is definitely in need of repairs, upkeep, and a facelift! The rooms were spacious, the beds nice, and most of the staff were extremely accommodating. We only had issue with a couple of the women who were far more interested in texting or talking on the phones than the customers. I brought sodas, water, and other assorted snacks, and they were in an open sack and no one said a word to me about this. We had many people who were more than willing to help, and they were insistent on bringing our bags to our rooms. The main problems were the running toilet, dingy bathroom, and the great number of cats. Our deal was for a welcome snack which was a veggie sandwich and a soda, no substitutions. We were going crabbing, life vests included (but not the shoes which were a very small rental fee, and they were exceptionally grungy but I felt that was to be expected. Then, we were entitled to the buffet dinner and buffet breakfast the following morning. The dinner was eaten by everyone else in our group, so I think that speaks well for it. The next morning I didn't care for the breakfast, but there was a huge buffet, and everything was labeled. I must say the crabbing experience was wonderful, and one we will cherish for years to come! It made the entire trip worth it!

Room Tip: You may want to check out the room to make sure the sink isn't dripping or the toilet running (l...

I have been in a lot of hotels and resorts around UAE and this definitely deserves a negative 10. Unfortunately, we made an awful mistake of overlooking the albeit honest reviews regarding this place before we made the online booking. When we tried to cancel the booking 48hours prior to schedule, the resort greedily charged my card for the whole day. Since we're already screwed, we decided to proceed with it. From there, things turned for the worse:
1. Personnel never tried to hide their unwillingness to work by treating us as unwelcome guests, for example, concierge simply passed us by while WE were pushing the trolley ourselves. The whole time the reception simply ignored the situation. We hoped the inside is any different but no. I have yet to see a more unaccommodating place, if there's any.
2. If you're looking for curfew, this place is perfect for you. Pools are closed at midnight. jacuzzi was supposed to close exactly at 10pm but it was shut down regardless of people present or not, the "people" I was referring to is yours truly who's inside the jacuzzi as early as 9pm.
3. cats and various scavengers scattered liberally all over the grounds
4. Barbecuing is prohibited at night except near the beach but even there, you provide your own grill.
5. Don't ever believe them if they tell you they are fully booked. With service and facility like these, I am not wondering anymore why they weren't, and will never be, fully-booked. They decided to place us farthest away from the beach even though the resort was occupied up to 25% capacity at the most.
6. Non smoking rooms were provided with ashtray, go figure.
7. The security will tail you as far as outside to make sure you don't bring your own food, beverage, and no I am not exaggerating, even a bottle of water.

I know we have every right to complain but decided against it. We figured people in the hospitality sector who has been doing their job for a long time does not need to be reminded on what to do. There is no such thing as customer satisfaction, the place is a detention center and the staff are the prison wardens. Believe the reviews, however scathing it may be, and learn from other people's mistakes. In case you decide to go for it anyway, let go of the universal adage such as "the customer is always right", "let's have fun in the beach", or "service guaranteed". You have been warned.

Went in early June 2012. Groupon "Deal" although was actually priced more than if we'd booked direct.

Anyway, the beach resort has no towels, the rooms are barren and dirty but the buffet BBQ was the worst thing I'd ever seen. There was no food, empty buffet was not refreshed, and the marvellous BBQ was in fact disgusting old salad.

Breakfast was just as bad as supper.

There is also a lot of stagnant water, which means you will get feasted upon my mosquitos. I had to go to the doctor after I returned home. Horrible.

An utter disgrace.

Room Tip: Rooms in other hotels are much nicer...

The good parts 1st - the rooms are large with large beds (for a budget hotel) n clean..the room service was good, the staff courteous. Ample beach chairs, without having to scramble for 1 with other guest and the best part of all it was quiet. so good pace to catch fish or bbq by the beach. breakfast was ample with a good verity.

the negatives - the AC needs servicing (rattled all through the night), the beach(private) is non existent, was dirty, food was not good. the gardens water bodies are filthy and the place is infested with cats.

Room Tip: ask to see the room before you check in, or just spend the day and get back to the city,.
