my husband and i love trying new hotels and resorts and therefore we booked this one. in a nutshell, its one of the most horrible resorta or even hotel apts i have been to, Al Bada in Al Ain is ib the same league.staff: staff are very non friendlt, not rude but just nonchalantfood: a joke. no offense to south indian food, but if the buffet is continental, so should the food and not only veg curries and veg pasta.room: run down, bathroom very old, sewerage smell, toilet paper was wet, no foot rug, no hand towels, no handheld shower near the toilet (its a muslim country as far as i remember), sink broken and cracked.decor: non existentbreakfast: cold, 4 items dont make a buffeti asked for a kettle and we they dint have an electrical kettle. my husband oked the reaponse as not most hotels have kettles however in the UAE even small hotel apts have oone or atleast offer upon request. here they didnt even offer hot water. language: a lot of signs were in a different language, not sure why.anyways, it was an experience and lesson well learnt- read reviews before booking

Beach was not clean, staff just acted like robots, no humanity...no free WiFi and no outside food/drink allowed...that's what awaits you here. Although the spacious room and tasty buffet in the morning was just the consolation, so badly needed at that time.

The resort is located at the end of Umm Al Quwain, 1.5 hours from Dubai. They have a small yet well maintained private beach. Attractions here include crab hunting and in season flamingo watching guided tours.
Food is reasonably priced and good enough. There are places outside and near the resort where liquor can be bought at duty free rates, however one cannot carry outside food and drinks to the resort.
The swimming pool is pretty big and there is also a kids pool.
Overall a good enough weekend getaway.

we wanted to try flamingo in um al quwain before heading to Sharjah...Made a booking after seeing some good photos and reviews in the internet, but disappointed... so could not enjoy as we wished to... rooms are clean and good, restaurant is excellent...they serve some great food...no free wifi which itself is unprofessional as I feel...they won't let u take drinks or food from outside...the location is in a remoter place than the well known beach resorts in um al quwain... didn't find beach area and water as clean as we found in other places... that's really a negative remark which outweighs all the positives of a beach resort...not highly recommended if Ur looking for a complete beach resort experience with swimming n fun ..

We planned for a short getaway at the place via country club, dubai. Accomodation for 3 nights were free for club memnbers here. The rooms are big and nice, but
1. Bath shower does not have enough pressure. A dog pees with much more force..hehe
2. No bath mat outside the bathroom...basically u go around the room with wet feet wetting the whole place
3. No health faucet in toilets..instead they have the old fashioned semi WC used for washing..seems they have not upgraded since the 1990s
4.swimming pool is not temperature controlled...its real cold when you step in..not the best i've seen!!
5.so called private beach is small...about 50 mtrs maybe...
6.boating trip was good for 200 aed.,.could spot some flamingoes in the mangrove islands
7. Staff ...largely well mannered and behaved although i had a room service guy who insisted on getting a bill signed while i was having breakfast, ignoring the fact that my hands were not clean to hold a pen!!
8. Food was generally OK and nit expensive for a resort...

We are a family of three with a kid 3 yr old..drove down from sharjah...
Initially planned for 2 nights, but came back after one night as there wasnt much to do , other than have food, go to the cold pool, and sleep!!

Place was full of russians...seems they have some tie up with agencies there...

Thats it...rests left to you...readers...!!!!
