Here on a “full on” business meeting so, take that into consideration. Relaxing, soft, comforting, non threatening, quiet, peaceful…

I arrive and leave with a “business” mindset which can be difficult to turn off, even here. Would I come back on pleasure – maybe.

Weddings, conferences, retreats, get a ways – yes. That’s what I had so that’s what I can talk about.

We stayed as part of a company meeting and had a good experience. We were checked in and greeted pleasantly and early. The room was fairly standard and probably not worth the piece, but you are paying for the name and the grounds. The property itself is lovely and the pool area very relaxing. I couldn't recommend this resort for kids for more than one day. The slide is fun, but that's all there is. The restaurant by the pool is very tasty, but pricey ($100 for lunch and a couple of drinks). The dinner was wonderful and efficiently served for a large group. I would recommend this property for a one or two night getaway, especially if you are golfers.

The day I leave the Ritz Dove Mountain is often one of the most depressing days in my year because being there is just that amazing...so, just having returned home this evening, the mood around the house is a little somber tonight. It is without a sliver of doubt in my mind that this is possibly the best resort I ever have or will travel to for a vacation like no other. To begin, the grounds are absolutely stunning. Period. You are literally enveloped by the gorgeous mountains from every nook of the resort. The Ritz created perfection in the atmosphere of the entire resort and did not overlook a single detail. From the stunning fire pits to the sweeping views from the guest rooms to the S'mores fire pits, there are no flaws in Dove Mountain. Aside from the absolute perfect setting, the service is incomparable. This was our third stay at Dove Mountain and there is no shortage of amazing service. You are made to feel like a VIP and that truly makes you feel special and taken care of in a way that only the Ritz can do! On top of atmosphere and service, this is a place of true relaxation and a place to leave all cares behind. Whether it is a hike on one of their many trails, a day at their stunning spa pool, wine by the fire pits as you listen to the sunset flute ceremony or dining under the stars at Core or Caytons, there are so many reasons to come to Dove Mountain and to keep coming back! I am a little sad tonight knowing we just ended our favorite vacation of the year, but smile as I think back over this incredible past week and to future times we will spend in the little piece of Arizona heaven that is Dove Mountain.

I stayed as part of a large company meeting. The room was posh from the enormous soaking tub to the incredibly comfortable bed. The evening turndown service was such a pleasant touch. All staff were professional, helpful and seemed very happy and to be enjoying their work. Food was well-prepared and there were many healthy choices.

My favorite part: the gorgeous hiking trails behind the hotel. We had a challenging 5.5 mile hike with a guide that was a highlight of the stay. The views from the top of the mountains are priceless. Definitely consider one of the many hikes.

It was time for a spa day with friends. We enjoyed our experience at the Ritz so much we all wanted to return daily :)

First, the massage. I'm picky about my massages, asked for a Signature massage so could customize it. Barbara provided the best massage, a wonderful combination of relaxing and deep tissue. My friend enjoyed Jen's massage as well. The spa is perfectly designed to cater to massages and other services.

Next: a delicious spa lunch poolside. Delicious "desert rose" cocktail. Extensive menu (I enjoyed the salad) delivered to you. Infinity pool, jacuzzi...all on a clear blue day with scenic views of the mountain. If I had to do it again, I'd reserve a lounge chair before the massage; when we arrived after our massages, all lounge chairs were taken. Most poolside beds were available...eventually two lounge chairs opened up.

Our early dinner/late lunch was at Cayton's. Free shuttle from the Ritz. Outdoor seating right on the golf course. Great service. Servings of french and sweet potato fries were large (consider splitting). Crab cakes were delicious.

Back to the Ritz for a wine tasting. Thanks to CJ for a great Argentinian and Arizonian wine experience! Arrive early for the best seating inside at the bar or table; outside seating at large 8-top tables is for the overflow.

Stopped at the outdoor lobby on our way out....and almost never left. Inviting scene, flamenco guitars at sunset, flame tower heaters and several fire pits, lovely ambiance.

While we didn't stay at the hotel, I would return with my family. I loved the setting, it had a great pool, and every room seemed to have a larger balcony.

The hotel was built 4 years ago. It is still very new and has some of the most wonderful scenery. Al of the hotel staff was laid back but nice and attentive. Jennifer, the front desk supervisor was exceptional.

It is located about 10 minutes off the interstate but with that said it offers seclusion and privacy. The hotel was busy but not packed and overcrowded. The decor offers earth tones and blends in well with nature. The rooms and bathrooms are large. The beds are very comfortable.

The hotel offers a guided nature hike which included chilled bottles of water. There are two heated pools and a ranger station which offers animal presentations. Dinner is available outdoors near the fire pit or downstairs in Cores which offers a fine dinner in a relaxing atmosphere in or outdoors. You can sit and eat while watching the chefs cook.

The resort fee includes valet parking and internet. Self parking is free. Rooms are very nice but need a little more light. The shower is sooo nice but the bath towels are on the small side. Casitas are available. There is a shopping center down the street which includes several rests., a gas station, Walgreens, Frys grocery store, Subway, and other smaller stores.
