Cannot complain about one thing! The place has a very clean decór and elegant atmosphere. Went there on monday night (april 27) with no.reservations and were immediatly placed in a great table. Our waiter, Ricardo, was superb and helped with our orders with great suggestions. A great dinner with antepasto and wine cost around 700 pesos per couple plus one kid, with the tip included. The food was incredible and the dishes are huge! For two or even three people. We had a risotto with shrimps and aspargus. Totally recommend.

Best pasta in Buenos Aires it has to be in Marcelo. Just try to outsmart the crowd outside to have a meal you will remember.

We had a quick dinner here b/c we sat in traffic for an hour to get to the restaurant on a Friday night. The staff was so friendly and it was not a problem at all. Of course in BA, people don't eat until 10pm so even though we showed up at 845pm, there were hardly any people there. When we left at 930pm, it was almost all full.

We sat on the back terrace which was lovely, the maitre d, spoke perfect english (unusual in BA), we ordered a half bottle of delicious malbec, shared a green salad and had the seafood taglietelle which was SO delicious. They are known for their homemade pastas and I can see why.

Had dinner here while in Buenos Aires on vacation. The home made pastas are amazing. I had the Carbonara which was made in the true Italian way with raw egg, resulting in a lovely yellow color and great taste. My friends had the Gnocchi with green spinach cream sauce which they loved. Note that all pastas have to be ordered for 2 or more persons, but are priced per person on the menu. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, though spoke no English. Try for a table with a view of the water for a lovely setting.

My wife and I went to Marcelo with friends while traveling in Argentina. I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical at first about eating Italian food in Argentina, but all it took was one bite.
The menu has a broad choice of Pizzas, Pastas and Main courses, all of which I found superb, but the pasta, which is freshly made on site-really took the prize. The flavor, texture, everything was perfect.
Additionally, the restaurant is really nice and the service is five-star with friendly and knowledgeable waiters ready to guide you through all the choices.
Bottom Line, Marcelo is a must visit when in Buenos Aires.
