Diego was very helpful and attentive before my arrival to BA. Upon arrival, he did not meet me at the flat and was unavailable. He did arrange a driver who gave me the key and left me in the lobby to let myself in. The apartment was completely unstocked (no paper towels or toilet paper or hand soap or dish soap). Diego had texted me very short directions on the keys, lights and metro pass. I texted him numerous times on Saturday and Sunday and he did not respond! I had many questions on how to work things in the apartment (the shower which scalded me the first 2 times i used it, due to not having proper instructions by Diego...) and the TV (I had an apartment for 2 days with no sound cause I did not know how to work the TV). But the worst part was that I was trapped in the apartment all day on Saturday because I did not know how to leave the building and be able to get back in. I did not want to get locked out of the building! But I wanted to go to the store, walk around, etc. He never did answer me. I asked a nice couple at the door of the building while I waited around to see how other people got in and out. It was really terrible, the way I was ignored. I am a single woman, never been to BA or South America, don't speak spanish. And was left to all my own devices. Yes, I got by okay. But it was not optimal. I have never been treated this poorly in an Airbnb or this type of rental! Diego finally came by on Sunday night. By that time, I only wanted his help for things I absolutely needed (shower and TV) and wanted to keep my contact with him to a minimum....not that he would have taken any time to have more contact with me. The positive is that the apartment was in a good location. Good WIFI. The sliding glass door was very difficult to open and close. And again, it was not equipped with any basics. I left a bunch of toilet paper and paper towels there for his next guest. Sorry to be such a downer, but I felt very disrespected and unwelcome in this apartment compared to many other places I have rented.
