Sorry this may be long, but we can't say enough good things regarding this Hotel. It is a gem and the proprietor James and his wonderful staff make it a most memorable stay. Original I had made reservations at the Malabia House Hotel, "right around the corner" from Miravida. Then my wife started browsing the Internet and came upon this place. I knew it was a different place when Jim sent me an email giving me instructions on what to pay for a taxi ride. This was our first time in South America. Prior to arriving to BA, we spent 10 days in Uruguay working in an orphanage so we needed a little break. Jim and his staff did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. From his recommendations to reservations, to the wonderful wine bar, to the sumptuous FULL breakfast with more than 1 cup of fresh coffee, we had a delightful time. Our room was more than adequate, even had a nice balcony into the courtyard. Try finding a room like this in Paris, London, Berlin or even Warsaw for this price, size, full bath and amenities. The hotel is situated in perhaps not the cleanest part of BA (the only downside), but how many of you camp out in front of a hotel during your stay touring a city. By the way. Within a few short blocks, you can find some of the best shops and restaurants without the fanfare and craziness of Florida street. What more can we say. Thank you James and your gracious, accommodating staff. Would we return? You bet! Our only concern is that in a few years, I don't know if we will be able to afford this place once it becomes more popular.

We stayed at Miravida for 6 nights total. We were able to leave some luggage in storage while we went to Mendoza for a few days.

The room was small, but enough. I read it can be a bit noisy. I'm a VERY light sleeper. There was a fan in the room that we ran and I did not have a problem with noise.

The staff was very helpful and provided lots of recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We tasted a lot of their wine and they were very knowledgable and willing to share a glass and discuss the wine or life in Argentina.

They described it to us as a hostel for adults. It's definitely more upscale than a hostel, but has the social aspects of one. We met a lot of travellers and had nice conversations. The wine bar/restaurant creates a nice social atmosphere for meeting others, if you want to do so.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is great - in one of the trendiest neighborhoods in BA. We never paid more that $6 for a cab one way around town and were able to walk to many restaurants.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Miravida Soho and would return again in an instant. James and his staff were wonderful with lots of tips. Prior to our stay, James emailed me several suggestions for restaurants that were all just wonderful. They served the best breakfast - all off a menu- of anywhere on our 2 week trip in Argentina. They also arranged for us to attend a soccer game that we absolutely loved. A gem!

Very nice room, amazing service, charming, big private terrace, great location, reasonably priced.

The only downside is that it was a little loud -- I think the rooms in the back would be quieter. Also, wifi in the room was a bit spotty.

We stayed with another couple at the Miravida on two separate nights in October and really cannot find one bad thing to say about this place. The rooms are really nice, beautiful linens, the atmostphere is really homey. But what really puts this place a cut above the rest is the staff. All speak great english, which is so helpful when you are struggling with your spanish. They went out of their way all the time to help us make arrangements for the buquebus and restaurant reservations, taxis, etc. Jim, the owner is from Canada and was so helpful with tips on where to eat, places to see in Buenos Aires as well as Uruguay. We loved Buenos Aires and will surely be back. Without a doubt, we would stay at the Miravida. It's also in Palmero which is a great trendy neighborhood and you can easily walk to many restaurants as well the subway station is very close. We all loved this place.... Thanks to Jim and all the staff!

First time in such a small hotel(in BA) Almost all aspects are very high quality, especially the staff..we had the largest room, which unfortunately had no clothes closet, only a rack...we made do as we were dressed casually...also the bathtub is in the bedroom...very different but manageable.Good shower.
The plus side is dense.....Good wines and recommendations from Nigel/very adequate breakfast..any kind of food available to be sent out for trom any local cafe....excellent recommendations for dining/wining....there's a good little restaurant directly across the street (mis)named BISTRO BAKERY...try the EMU or lamb if available....James runs a very good value place with only 7 people...they tried very hard to advise/accomodate us in all things and succeeded.....will be returning.OWEN,Texas

My husband and I recently returned from a visit to Buenos Aires and stayed at Miravida Soho. This property is truly 'a find'. It's very well located in Palermo Soho. It's in a quiet but easily accessible area, near many delightful restaurants. Owner, James, and his staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Want to know about good choices for restaurants, wine, or even the laundry, just ask!
