“A very personal, warm-hearted and charming hotel”

It's hard to add anything original to all the glowing reviews but the Miravida is an exceptional place to stay if you like staff that make you feel like family and an environment that quickly feels like coming home. We spent 6 nights there in March and I had tears in my eyes as we left. Nadia, Marcela, Nigel, Daniella and Jim are all lovely people and were very helpful, welcoming and responsive. We stayed in room #1, which is quite a good size with a very comfortable king sized bed dressed in lovely sheets. The room looks out over a small park where occaisional homeless people sleep. The strange sound of the buses air brakes took a bit of getting used to but all in all we slept very well. The area is funky, a bit rough around the edges but very hip and popular with many good restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. And yes the intimate wine bar/breakfast room is a real feature. A wonderful spot to chat with fellow travellers and whoever is manning the bar that evening. Breakfast was great- a nice selection of freshly prepared ingredients- the poached egg on spinach being my favourite. If I am ever lucky enough to go back to BAs I would hope the Miravida is still there manned by Jim and his handpicked crew. It was always give me a warm feeling remebering our stay there.

My husband and I stayed at MiraVida for a few nights in March. We can't say enough good things about it. It was in a wonderful location with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping close by. The owner, James, and his staff were lovely, very helpful and always suggested GREAT wine from their own wine bar. It was such a relaxing spot as we started every night off with a drink or two in the wine bar and then got some great dinner recommendations from James on where to eat. All in all a great place for a great value! We will be back!!

We had 2 nights at this hotel while on honeymoon in Argentina. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful, the wine bar to be a great spot to learn about Argentinian wine and have a cheeky one before dinner, and the location ideal! We did think that our room was a little small and tired though and we would have expected a higher standard for the price we paid. We did sleep well given the room was quiet and the bed was big and comfortable, but we couldn't help but feel it needed a little TLC.

I just returned from two nights / three days in Buenos Aires and stayed in the Miravida Soho. I can't speak highly enough of the location, the value, the comfortable room and most importantly, the friendly staff.

My girlfriend and I can certainly be considered wine novices, but we really enjoyed the tastings offered in the wine bar, and James and Nigel were always happy to join us for a glass and tell us as much or as little as we wanted to know about each glass. The bar itself is very laid back and friendly and is a great way to meet all of the friendly staff as well as other hotel residents.

The icing on the cake was on out final night when we mentioned we'd like to buy some of the amazing wine we'd been sampling, James sold us the bottles we wanted from behind the bar at cost, and even wrapped them up for us while we went out and enjoyed a Tango show!

I would highly recommend this place

This is a perfectly nice modern boutique hotel but what makes it special is that James, Nigel and the girls take a real interest in planning your day. No recommendations to someone's cousin's shop or restaurant. If you take their advice you won't waste any time on a bad restaurant or attraction. As well as their own experiences they keep a log of their guests' comments on various places. This is not the most central location in town but getting around is easy and cheap by cab or subway. It is close to some very good and great value restaurants. The rooms are well appointed, some are on the small side. Highly recommended.

The service is amazing, as is the location. I think that this would be a fantastic place for a first time visitor. I had a great experience here, and I highly recommend it! Very nice people, ideal location.

Stayed here for a few nights. The area itself (Palermo SoHo) is a great place to stay while in BA. The owner and staff couldn't have been more friendly and I greatly enjoyed speaking with them and having wine in the bar before going out. The rooms were extremely clean and the morning breakfast was great.
