“The Old man knows how to cheat!”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

The food looks good, is served well. The Ambience is nice with the tables centre lit. You are about to say this is good when the bill comes.
Everything is overcharged. The cover charge is not printed on the menu unlike other restaurants so that when the bill comes it can be added as wanted. The Old Man who runs the restaurant is an absolute cheat. There are many other restaurants in the neighborhood. Avoid this !!

Reviewed 19 February 2014

I ate Indian food in different countries even India and what are the first things that come to your mind when you think of Indian food? hot, spicy, basmati rice, dried fruits, ghee, masalas, tasty, chapattis and so on. Anyway, nothing at all and very expensive.Does Bengal have an Indian cheff? They told me "Yes". A Letdown

“A Letdown”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

This is a lovely venue with food that is disappointingly spotty. My corvino from the Italian side of the menu was well prepared but accompanied by an enormous pile of pedestrian stir fried julienne vegetables. My husband's Indian dish was so mild as to be almost tasteless.....Indian fare doesn't need to be hot but it should taste appropriately of spices and seasonings. Service was very slow and indifferent. Nothing better than ok.

“Decent Indian fusion dishes”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Co-workers wanted to eat some Indian food after a few day of steak dinners. We called in advance to make sure they have the table for us before we headed over.

Very classic and cozy setting. The menu was kind of mix of Indian and Italian food. We had shrimp risotto, Chicken Masala, Veggie Biriyani, and shrimp curry. Shrimp risotto was excellent. The risotto was lighted grilled so it was brown and crispy. The shrimp was light version of Shrimp Scampi. Perfect combination together.

Masala and curry were pretty good but not as spicy as I would expected from Indian food. Nans were extra charged but was really good. Biriyani was totally a disappointment as no spices in there as it is supposed to be. Basically it was more like a mexican fried rice instead of Indian food.

The services were decent and professional. We enjoyed the talking in this comfortable setting. Next time, I would choose more Italian food instead of Indian food from the menu.
