We have spent almost a month in the Fantasia Room at Jardin del Tango. Rachel has been extremely generous with her time and with her knowledge of what to do in Buenos Aires, how to get around and also with the language. This has really helped us to have a fabulous and memorable experience of Buenos Aires. Rachel is really the most delightful host - warm, caring and friendly and extremely intuitive about what you might like.
The accommodation is absolutely charming and surprisingly restful for the middle of a big city - the bed and bath linens are gorgeous and welcome after a day around the city. Breakfasts are fresh and just right for day that is bound to include meat somewhere! This is Argentina after all.
A few of things Rachel organised for us - an English speaking taxi driver waiting for us at the airport (and who took us back) who knew the best banks to go to for safe withdrawal of money - all at a very small amount more than a regular cab and very reliable. At our request, she also had an extremely good massuese waiting at the Casa ready to ease out the muscle aches after a very long flight. Again, by Australian standards inexpensive, reliable and very good quality. Rachel also introduced us to fabulous people who taught us the Tango - great teachers who had absolute novices (neither of us have ever danced before) dancing together reasonably well after 4 lessons and ready to go home and learn some more.
Overall a great holiday and a great place to stay
