“Great host, central location, and charming accommodation”
Reviewed 16 January 2010

We have spent almost a month in the Fantasia Room at Jardin del Tango. Rachel has been extremely generous with her time and with her knowledge of what to do in Buenos Aires, how to get around and also with the language. This has really helped us to have a fabulous and memorable experience of Buenos Aires. Rachel is really the most delightful host - warm, caring and friendly and extremely intuitive about what you might like.

The accommodation is absolutely charming and surprisingly restful for the middle of a big city - the bed and bath linens are gorgeous and welcome after a day around the city. Breakfasts are fresh and just right for day that is bound to include meat somewhere! This is Argentina after all.

A few of things Rachel organised for us - an English speaking taxi driver waiting for us at the airport (and who took us back) who knew the best banks to go to for safe withdrawal of money - all at a very small amount more than a regular cab and very reliable. At our request, she also had an extremely good massuese waiting at the Casa ready to ease out the muscle aches after a very long flight. Again, by Australian standards inexpensive, reliable and very good quality. Rachel also introduced us to fabulous people who taught us the Tango - great teachers who had absolute novices (neither of us have ever danced before) dancing together reasonably well after 4 lessons and ready to go home and learn some more.

Overall a great holiday and a great place to stay

We had a quick unplanned trip to Buenos Aires and accidently found Rachel and the Tango Del Jardin! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The area was perfect, she was so accomodating in every way that you felt you were staying with a friend and not a B and B. We were a couple and we felt like we had a safe haven and if you are single, believe me Rachel is a kind woman with a big heart and she will look out for you, give you recommendations. Her place is so homey and very clean! Her bedroom are pretty with wonderful high quality linens that |I was surprised to find down there. I would go back to Rachel place Tango del Jardin in a heartbeat. Please note that my husband was just as enthusiastic asbout Rachel's place even though it had a definate "feminine touch".
Buenos aires is a nice place but Rachel made it special!!

I've traveled to Buenos Aires with my girlfriend in Nov 2009 and stayed at Casa Jasmin with my girlfriend. We were extremely happy with the place and the host (Rachel), and would definitely recommend it to other folks coming to visit Argentina.
- Rachel organized a taxi pick up and a drop off at the airport with a very friendly and nice driver;
- She has provided immense help with our activities in Buenos Aires, advising places to visit, writing down detailed directions as to how to get to different places, giving a subway card, cell phone etc.
- Refrigerator in the B&B was stocked with fresh and different food every day.
- There is a computer with always on internet connection on the premises.
- She accomodated our hectic travel schedule (we traveled to Mendoza mid week), and allowed to store our excess luggage at the B&B while we were gone.
- Overall, she was genuinely welcoming and caring.

What a place to stay! It feels like being at the other side of the world, but being home at the same time. And Buenos Aires is the safest city I have travelled to. We had a wonderfull stay and visited this cosy B&B three times during our journey through Argentina! It is THE place to stay in Buenos Aires!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and we'd highly recommend it. If you like to avoid big impersonal hotels, and prefer somewhere smaller which feels more like a home away from home, this is for you. Rachel is a wonderful host, giving advice on where to go and what to see and if Tango is what you're in BA for she's a big fan and knows her stuff. Our room was clean, very tastefully decorated and with a very comfy bed and lovely duvet. We booked El Jardin Del Tango after reading other reviews, and they're not wrong, we want to recommend it too.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Rachel of Casa Rosa. We were welcomed and made to feel at home by Rachel's two cats Flavia and Carlos as well as Rachel. She was a tour guide as well as a host. We learned a lot about Buenos Aires in the few days we were there. When we had an unfortunate experience, she helped us navigate the ins and outs.

Rachel welcomes you with a big smile and a wealth of useful knowledge to make your stay really fun. I stayed in the Fantasia room and it was lovely, clean, good bedding, and very quiet. The high pressure shower was a treat after a months backpacking! As a single female I felt safe in this well located B&B. Rachel stocks the fridge well with alot of choices for breakfast!
