I have to start by saying the location was great. You are close to the subte D (metro), it's a safe central neighborhood and you have a super market next door. But don't expect to get the room you requested, Instead I was first put in a dingy, smelly room(which later I became accustomed to) but then was moved to another 3 twin bed room with a shared bathroom. Basically it's a hostel not necessarily a b&b. You get toast, juice and coffee in the mornings, the staff is a friendly young group of kids. At least 3 couples left after their first night and found other hotels in the first 4 days I was there, all due to the rooms and booking issues (these were young couples, some backpackers not necessarily the picky type either, if you catch my drift). They do have about 3 rooms that seemed nice, private bathroom etc. in fact I booked one, my friend another but our reservations were not honored. The website pretty much deceives you but we survived the ordeal.

We stayed here for a weekend in Bs As while we were checking out apts for a longer stay. We arrived late on Friday and I was not impressed at first. The boy at the check-in counter didn't really seem to know much about the area (couldn't recommend a place to eat nearby for a late dinner) or the code for wi-fi. The next morning, however, the girls at the front desk were extremely helpful and the rest of the weekend we had a great experience in dealing with them.
We were in a room on the 2nd floor, with private bathroom. Room had small fridge, which didn't work, but they replaced it as soon as we told them about it. The window in the room faced the inside of the building? or something, we could see pipes but we just kept the curtains closed. Bathroom was clean and shower had good pressure and hot water. We did have a problem the last night, there was some water leaking from the ac unit. They offered to move us to another room, but the only one available didn't have AC so we just stayed in our room and they discounted the last night. They do charge a fee if you pay with credit card.
Breakfast was pretty basic: coffee, tea, juices, water. Cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast, jam. The nice thing was that on one morning, my husband didn't want to come down and they let me take the food upstairs for him. The other morning, we both slept in and came down right before breakfast time was over and the girl at the front desk told us to take our time and even brought out fresh eggs and juice for us. The front area where they served breakfast was cozy and the windows were opened when it was a nice day, so we could see people walking by.
The location is really great: just half a block from a large grocery store, 2 short blocks to the subte on Santa Fe. Close to lots of restaurants and bars, and even a few stores for shopping. We loved the area so much that the apt we rented for the next 6 weeks was just 2 blocks away. It is really safe, even at night and there are always taxis nearby.
Even though our stay was not without a few mishaps, the staff handled everything quickly and efficiently. They let us store our luggage there during our last day while we ran errands after check-out and called radio taxis for us as needed. Also, they offer help with excursions and Spanish lessons (saw some guests having their lessons in the afternoons). Though they have free wi-fi, there is also a computer available in the lobby. For the price and location, I think this is a good value.
