An average hotel. Stayed for four nights. The hotel photos looks much better than it is . Check out time is 10.00 am which is way too early. Other hotels usually at 12.00 noon.
No electric kettle nor complimentary coffee or tea sachets in the room. Breakfast is a cold breakfast. Only a small bread toaster to toast bread . A variety of pastries but all cold.
Close to Plaza Congresso , shops and walking distance to Plaza Mayo , theatre Colon and others. Do not think it is 4 star. Three likely. Anyway a good place if just to spend the night.

Our travel company, gotmyfare.com went bankrupt while we were traveling and they had not paid this hotel for our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly with this problem, they could have dumped us on the street, but helped us contact the local tour company to figure out what we should do. We worked it out and stayed for 3 nights.
The room was spacious with a kitchenette, the breakfast buffet was european...cheeses, meats, yogurt and a wonderful huge array of pastries and desserts..YUMMY!!
The young man who helps with your bags is a delight...just so nice!!
The location is great, we like being with the regular people of the area, they're all so nice.
This location is so nice because we would be looking for the right direction to go on the street and some stranger would walk up to us and help us find our way. Buenos Aires is great!!! Don't be afraid to go Buenos Aires, my husband and I are 60 and we walked everywhere and stayed out late and it was a great city!!!You don't need any shots either, don't waste the money on them!

Room Tip: The restaurant restrooms are usually good.

The staff were very helpful, the rooms clean, and the location very convenient. Buenos Aires is a huge city, so no hotel can be close to everything. This hotel was right on the metro line, close to the bus stops, and within walking distance of the main areas of the city. Also taxis pass the door every few seconds, and are very cheap. The rooms were clean, not too small, and at US $110 for three adults, within our budget. There's a fantastic city bus tour, with the tickets valid for 24hours and only US $17. You can get on and off as many times as you like....it's a must. Getting used to going out late was the biggest challenge!

After reading possitive prior posts about this hotel, I decided to stay here. The room was huge. we were 4 adults and a 13yr old child. The room had 2 full size beds and 3 singles....
we didnt even use the 2 single beds.....The bathroom had the bidet & toilet with shower in one room, and sink was outside/seperate. Very helpful during getting ready....had a mini kitchen with fridge. Had no microwave. That could of been useful.
Electricity..... US plugs will not plug in. The hotel supplied us with 2 adapters. Most electronics will say 110-220 volts on plug. If it says that, then you can use these adapters. Check your electronics before you plug them in. These supplied adapters DO NOT step down the voltage. I plugged in my laptop and cell phones with no problems.

My air conditioner had froze one night, and the front desk had it replaced the next day. Front desk is very helpful and will accomodate all tour info and bookings for you. Great service.
I have only good experiences from this hotel. would definitely recc to others....
Hotel is within walking distance to mostly everything. We walked, took busses, and rode trains all over. Never felt unsafe anywhere.

We were booked for a three-star hotel, so we weren't expecting much. However we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel! The lobby is small, but the staff is helpful! No concierge, but the front desk staff can recommend & book tours for you. The room was unexpectedly large. Our last trip being to London was in a four star hotel, but the room there was not even half the size of the room here in B.A. Room has a kitchenette with pots & pans, silver & dishes, though we didn't use them! There is a small dining table with four chairs, a big desk with a large flat screen tv... A small fridge shared with the mini bar & safe deposit box -- easy to use. Large armoire with shelves for clothes. Fairly large open area between the beds, with 6' space between beds & wall, so there is ample room for dance & photo shoots! Free Wi-fi in room. Computer in the lobby for free use as well. Don't expect mints on the pillows, but daily maid use is good. They are just a bit cheap with the mini-soaps -- you could probably ask for more. Location is 1 block from the congress, a few blocks from the red-line and green-line subways. As with anywhere, be careful walking at night... We never felt threatened, but we are two fairly big guys... The area is a little gritty, but has great character. We highly recommend this place...

LOADS of restaurants around. Try LA AMERICANA on the corner for Empanada... Avoid the L'artignon (?sp) on the corner... Food is mediocre at best, although supposedly located at a historical building. Try Cafe Toroni on Avenida de Mayo for Submarine Hot Chocolate drink. Touristy, but the restaurant was founded in 1857. BEST RESTAURANT we went to is in Palermo district, EL TRAPICHE at Humboldt & Paraguay. Great bife de lomo (similar to a filet mignon) and bife de chorizo (actually not a chorizo but a cut of a porterhouse). Big portions (could actually be shared by 2) & amazing prices! DInner for 2 with wine was about $US 40. Skip the appetizers or you won't make room for your steaks -- yes they are that huge! RESTAURANT RODIZIO in Puerto Madero District has eat all you can beef cuts in skewers -- very good but a little expensive. EL TRAPICHE is better & better value also. If you go to a Tango/Dinner Show, try to avoid the dinner so that you can you can go to a better restaurant instead. Dinners at those shows are served for mass market, and are mediocre at best.

GREAT DAY TRIP - Ferry trip to Colonia, Uruguay. Take the rapid ferry, Buquebus -- leave at 8:45 AM with return at 7:01 PM. BE CAREFUL OF THE TIME CHANGE IN URUGUAY or you'll miss your ferry! Colonia is a small, historic town with beaches... You can rent a golf cart or scooters at Thrifty Rental right at the Ferry Station. Nice beach at Playa Ferrando, about 7 minutes from the Ferry Station. Bring your bathing suit & swim there. If you are looking to drink Mate, good luck finding a place that serves. (They all sell it, but few serve it.) Go to the restaurant "El Drugstore" in front of the church if you want to try it. Otherwise you will having to buy the whole kit at all the souvenir stores.

The bedrooms are really big and comfortable. The location is really good - there is a subway really close, and it`s in the center, so it`s near the turistic points. We went out at night and the neighborhood was very safe, there were a lot of people in the street. There is a restaurant close, La Americana, that serves great empanadas and pizza, really cheap and delicious.

Excellent hotel, I staid with my wife from 6/21 to 6/23. The room has small refrigerator and a small kitchen. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located in a walking distance to the center. The staff is familiar, the breakfast is excellent and also the room rates. You can coordinate tours in the reception area and pick up you in the hotel. You can access to a computer in the lobby free of charge to maintain you in contact. This hotel is excellent if you want to enjoy the city and stay in a comfortable hotel without pay a fortune.
