The Apart Hotel Congreso is located just around the corner from the Argentine National Congress. There are subway stations closeby and lots of convenient and inexpensive dining choices within a block. The large rooms have kitchenettes and dining tables....they really are like efficiency apartments. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff helped us with a number of questions and situations, making us feel welcome and respected. The breakfast provided at no extra cost had both hot and cold choices of a wide variety. I plan to return to Buenos Aires in the near future and hope to stay here again.

An average hotel. Stayed for four nights. The hotel photos looks much better than it is . Check out time is 10.00 am which is way too early. Other hotels usually at 12.00 noon.
No electric kettle nor complimentary coffee or tea sachets in the room. Breakfast is a cold breakfast. Only a small bread toaster to toast bread . A variety of pastries but all cold.
Close to Plaza Congresso , shops and walking distance to Plaza Mayo , theatre Colon and others. Do not think it is 4 star. Three likely. Anyway a good place if just to spend the night.

Our travel company, gotmyfare.com went bankrupt while we were traveling and they had not paid this hotel for our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly with this problem, they could have dumped us on the street, but helped us contact the local tour company to figure out what we should do. We worked it out and stayed for 3 nights.
The room was spacious with a kitchenette, the breakfast buffet was european...cheeses, meats, yogurt and a wonderful huge array of pastries and desserts..YUMMY!!
The young man who helps with your bags is a delight...just so nice!!
The location is great, we like being with the regular people of the area, they're all so nice.
This location is so nice because we would be looking for the right direction to go on the street and some stranger would walk up to us and help us find our way. Buenos Aires is great!!! Don't be afraid to go Buenos Aires, my husband and I are 60 and we walked everywhere and stayed out late and it was a great city!!!You don't need any shots either, don't waste the money on them!

Room Tip: The restaurant restrooms are usually good.

The staff were very helpful, the rooms clean, and the location very convenient. Buenos Aires is a huge city, so no hotel can be close to everything. This hotel was right on the metro line, close to the bus stops, and within walking distance of the main areas of the city. Also taxis pass the door every few seconds, and are very cheap. The rooms were clean, not too small, and at US $110 for three adults, within our budget. There's a fantastic city bus tour, with the tickets valid for 24hours and only US $17. You can get on and off as many times as you like....it's a must. Getting used to going out late was the biggest challenge!

After reading possitive prior posts about this hotel, I decided to stay here. The room was huge. we were 4 adults and a 13yr old child. The room had 2 full size beds and 3 singles....
we didnt even use the 2 single beds.....The bathroom had the bidet & toilet with shower in one room, and sink was outside/seperate. Very helpful during getting ready....had a mini kitchen with fridge. Had no microwave. That could of been useful.
Electricity..... US plugs will not plug in. The hotel supplied us with 2 adapters. Most electronics will say 110-220 volts on plug. If it says that, then you can use these adapters. Check your electronics before you plug them in. These supplied adapters DO NOT step down the voltage. I plugged in my laptop and cell phones with no problems.

My air conditioner had froze one night, and the front desk had it replaced the next day. Front desk is very helpful and will accomodate all tour info and bookings for you. Great service.
I have only good experiences from this hotel. would definitely recc to others....
Hotel is within walking distance to mostly everything. We walked, took busses, and rode trains all over. Never felt unsafe anywhere.
