“A great week in Buenos Aires”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

We stayed for a week at the end of April and had a great experience. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was a good base for exploring Buenos Aires. An easy walk to many sites and an inexpensive cab ride to anywhere else you wanted to go. We were very pleased with the amenities and service.
The building is a bit noisy but putting the AC on low muffled the sounds adequately.

You will find the perfect formula!! Great location, nice - big - clean rooms, super reasonable price, and helpful staff.
I recently spent the night there, went to a show at the Recoleta Center. Everything is there!! Non stop entertainment in the best neighborhood in Buenos Aires.
Must return!!

Located right next to Recoleta Cemetery, this is a great choice for exploring Buenos Aires. The apartment rooms are large, airy and well-equipped, and having the kitchenette facilities (with a full-size fridge) was a real boon in hot weather. The front desk staff are very welcoming and helpful, and provided excellent advice on how to get around the city and the best place to exchange currency. The hotel has a small swimming pool on the ground floor – ideal for cooling off after a hot day but not for sunbathing, as it’s surrounded by tall buildings and gets little direct light. There is a small, highly overpriced supermarket on the other side of the street, but much better supermarkets, patisseries and greengrocers can be found within easy walking distance. There are also a number of excellent restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony, and a view across to the river.

Stayed here for 6 nights in March'14. This is a small apartment type hotel, with a small kitchen joined to a very large room and there is even a small sitting and dining area. Breakfast is not served but is brought to your room after you call the reception. This doesn't beat the buffet type breakfast, and the same type food was brought every morning, but it was tasty and quite enough. The package we paid for the hotel included free WIFI in the room, and it worked perfectly. Having seen other locations in Buenos Aires I believe this is by far the best there is in the city. We were delighted to find out that Fuerza Bruta show is right next to Recoleta cementary.

Stayed here for 4 nights while exploring BA. Very central location in the Recoleta area, with plenty of cafés and restaurants within walking distance. Across the road from the Recoleta cemetery, with a tourist information centre on one corner and a shopping mall on the other, surrounded by park land. Apartment style hotel with a small kitchenette, living area and balcony. Hotel had a swimming pool, although it looked a little neglected. Staff were fantastic and spoke English very well. A safe area to walk around and a small supermarket across the road selling everything from beer and wine to fruit and vegetables. Would stay again.

Stayed here 2 nights during a recent trip to Buenos Aires. Location is great - walkable distance to most tourist attractions and really most of BA, and Recoleta cemetery is at your doorsteps. There is a small supermarket right across the street, many shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as 2 shopping malls in a close proximity. My apartment was on the 9th floor and had a large balcony with chaise-longs, didn't experience any noise, and had sweeping views all the way to Rio de la Plata. I liked the layout and the furnishings of the apartment - contemporary with clean lines. Having a full kitchen is a plus if you need it. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and is very fast, the only down side is that you need to log on every time you turn your device off. Front desk is very professional and helpful, they really try hard to accommodate any request you have. I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return. Recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor and on the street side (my room on the 9th floor was great) , these...

We stayed 2 nights at the end of our vacation. You really can't beat the location of the hotel. Shops, restaurants, parks and sights are all within steps of the front door. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, include a kitchenette and the beds are comfortable. Those are the pros. For cons - there are a few and they are why the hotel only rated average for me. First, the rooms and hallways are looking tired. Our bathroom had small ants and we were greeted by a dead cockroach when we entered our room. The shower doors did close properly and there was a lot of mildew in the bathroom. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise issues so I won't repeat that other than to say it is true. I brought my earplugs and that helped. They only provide two pillows so reading in bed is difficult. Also, only two towels so you need to work with what you get. The jacuzzi was closed. The pool wasn't inviting. Also there is no free wi-fi in the rooms. You need to go to the lobby for free wi-fi and the only give you a password and log-in valid for 30 minutes. I thought that was pretty strange in today's market. We got a really good price so we knew there was going to be a trade off. The location and staff really make this hotel. If the put a little more effort into maintenance this would be an excellent hotel. No need to avoid this hotel but be prepared that it is not perfect. And bring ear plugs.
