We arrived in Buenos Aires at the international airport and took a taxi to this hotel. If you do the same it is important to have the full address with you as the taxi drivers don't appear to know where this relatively new hotel is. However, it is well located in the centre of the city within walking distance of many of the most important sights. We had booked for 3 nights.
The welcome at reception was very warm and lots of helpful information was available about the area.
We were a family of 4 adults and we had booked a double room and a suite, as we thought it would be nice if we could all relax in the same sitting area. The double room was lovely and spacious. The suite was huge, consisting of a bedroom, a very large living area and 2 bathrooms. Bathrooms were luxurious and adequately supplied with toiletries. Both our rooms were on the 9th floor on the front of the hotel. They were well furnished and spotlessly clean. We weren't aware of any traffic noise, but there was plenty of traffic! The coffee maker in the room was much appreciated. Mineral water was provided on arrival but not refreshed during our stay, we were told this was only for the first night. I thought this was a miserable economy.
Breakfast was served in the lobby restaurant. There was a moderate variety of choice including the hot options of bacon and egg. We had dinner here one night, the food was excellent but the service was very slow. On another night we went to the tango show in the renowned Cafe Tortoni, about 10 minutes walk away, where we also ate. On the third night we visited an excellent parilla on the advice of reception.
The first morning of our visit we bought a ticket for the open top tour bus. We opted for the 48 hour ticket, which was just as well as traffic is so heavy in BA that it takes some tome for the bus to complete its circuit, so we did it in 2 sessions. It was a good way of seeing the city.
There was a plunge pool on the roof of the hotel as well as a sauna and a roof top bar. An excellent facility in a city centre hotel.
