The rooms were clean, cosy, large and at least 5 m to the ceiling! Natalia was very helpful and gave us valuable advice of Buenos Aires. Ok breakfast with good coffee. Neighbourhood not so fun but 5-10 minutes walk away you have busy streets and metrobus /subway.

The location of this place is not that wonderful, but we found a nice Italian restaurant just a half block from there.
The staff are helpful, but only Natalia speaks English.
The place is very clean.
It was nice of them to have two PCs (one was out of order) to check up something online if you don't have any devices.
There's nothing bad, but there's nothing spectacular, either.

Room Tip: There are rooms just in front of the dining area. We didn't stay there, but you'd prefer to...

After 5 weeks in Argentina (hostels and many overnight bus rides) Tango & Bandoneon felt like an oasis!

Room: We stayed in a double/shared bathroom on the second floor facing the street, Friday & Saturday night in March. The street noise and Saturday night music nearby were noticeable but didn't keep me awake. Ceiling fan provided plenty of cooling. Everything was clean, in good working order, and decorated to feel like a home (original paintings, a chair and wardrobe, quilt, breezy crocheted curtains, bright lighting.) Bathrooms and kitchen on the second floor were clean, well-functioning, and decorated as well. I never had to wait for a space to cook or for a bathroom.

Location: Easily accessed from Retiro station by subte line C. A great base from which to walk to many sites. (We walked to Congreso, Casa Rosada/bicentennial museum, then wandered around the historic buildings in San Telmo, enjoying churches and cafes along the way, for a memorable day.) There are several groceries, a laundry, and post office nearby. The neighborhood has quality, flavorful seafood: Basque, Spanish, Peruvian (Chan Chan is great!) A welcomed, spicy, herby alternative to beef and bland starches.

Minor inconveniences: Wi-Fi can be spotty at times, and a staff person must let you in and out of the front door, regardless of time of day. But, totally overshadowed by the cozy atmosphere of the place and good-natured staff.

Simple and clean hostel, with kitchen and several bathrooms.
We had a room directing to the street and it was very noisy by night, trucks passing by.
Very nice and helpfull owner, but breakfast just to poor with few cornets and bread and coffee.

A very beautiful building in one of the best locations in Buenos Aires. We were welcomed by Natalia who was extremely helpful and helped us organise our ten day stay in Buenos Aires. Lovely, simple breakfast each morning and hot showers. Bed was made daily and fresh towels with soap. Everything was clean. Would definitely recommend it!

We stayed here twice during our travels and found the place to be nice, quite, great value, good location and beautiful!
It is a converted house that has been renovated, it is over 3 levels with two great kitchens and lounge/ dining areas.
We stayed in 3 different rooms, they are all nicely renovated, huge high ceilings, comfortable beds, great new bathroom (with bidet), flat screen tv with cable, hot water.
The first night we stayed in one of the downstairs rooms that can be noisy with the bell and bfast setting up in the morning, it was perfectly fine but as soon as a upstairs room came available we were moved. Much better.
The rooms are great as well as location. It is a 15min walk to San telmo markets on Sunday, 20 min walk to downtown, Palermo is a taxi ride for no more than 65 pesos. Great food around the area. Given the price this couldn't be beat.
Natalia is a wonderful host speaks perfect English and gives you a run down and a map on BA. The other two don't speak English but we managed with no problems.
Bfast is inc, perculated coffee and a basket of breads with butter and jam. It is simple but better than nothing! Buy a few things to spice it up.
Natalia allowed us to store our luggage while we went to Uruguay and iguazu and hang around after check out while we waited for our bus.
Overall this place is fantastic value for money and a great relaxing place to stay. The decor and old building is beautiful and we really were made to feel at home.
Definitely recommend this place.

i had a great time at this B&B... Buenos aires at a calmer place, easy to access to all highlights of the city and an excellent service.
As at home, beautiful patio to sit and see the stars and feel isolated of all noise.. Natalia is a so caring person, in charge of all there.. informative and helpful.. thank you. so much recommended.
