“Great Peruvian food in an amazing atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2012

The collection of antiques definitely creates an unreal environment. You could be in an old Peruvian church or mansion. It is definitely original and so different from other restaurants of the same type. Tables and chairs are really comfy and well enough separated from others so you do have plenty of intimacy. I was told the food was less than average but would very much disagree. Ceviches are great in particular the one with maracuyá. Tiraditos are also worth having. The selection of drinks is good and so is the one of wines. We had some of the most original piscos in town. Main dishes are different and manage to keep the Peruvian identity. This does make a difference with other places and may explain other comments if only used to modified versions of this type of food. I would recommend not to go for both entree and main course as portions are very generous. Service is by far one of the best and advices solid. As a fan of Peruvian cuisine I think this place is definitely worth visiting. They do not have an English menu but I was told they are working on it. Prices are at the same level of other reputed restaurants.

“Beautiful Space, Less Than Average Food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2012

The allure of this place from the outside is undeniable. Partner & I were walking around Palermo, and saw Pozo Santo. Picked it because the design is just beautiful, and since I was craving Peruvian flavors since my visit last year (and since the cute little Italian restaurant across the street looked full). Should have been clued in by the fact that the huge space only had 3 tables occupied at 1030 pm on a Friday night. As we know, ultimately, it's about the food. Partner had the lamb (it was average and underseasoned), and I had the lasagna on the server's recommendation. The lasagna was basically 1 layer of pasta, with about 6 layers of baked cheese. After 2 bites, I just found it too heavy and had to stop. Agree with a prior review of this place ... come for a drink at the bar. Pisco sours are a bit pricey, but good & strong. Enjoy the view from the bar area or outdoor space, but I can't recommend dining here. Pricey food, poor quality.

“Can't believe they served spoiled shrimp”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

Very nicely decorated Palermo Soho restaurant. Dinner starts off okay. Good bottle of wine, appetizers, good service. Get our main course, both had some shrimp in it, and they both smelled like ammonia! Go to see the manager. He says okay, tells the cook but still charges us the full price for the dinner we didn't eat. To say the least we won't be going back to this place!

“Great cocktails”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2012

I was a little worried by the mixed reviews here on tripadvisor, but we needn't have worried. The place looks like an old church (we never verified whether it was), giving it a rather interesting atmosphere. The food was not bad, but we were brought a fish dish when we thought we had ordered a beef dish (to be fair, that may have been our lacking Spanish skills).

Service was painfully slow, but at least the cocktails were great.

Probably won't go back, but it was worth a visit

“Wow. Most amazing fit out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2012

Had a great dinner here. The restaurant itself is just beautiful. Food was good, service good and not too expensive but at the higher end for BA. Not a tourist spot which is nice. No English on the menu though so you need a bit of help.
