My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at the Duque Hotel, and we could not have been happier! As English speakers lost in a country of non-English speakers, the staff at the Duque helped us with every possible thing we could have needed. We could not have survived without the hospitality and assistance offered by Barbara, Eva, and Florencia. They all spoke fluent English, too, which was a huge plus in a city where almost nobody seems to speak any English.

First off, they sent an email to us 2 weeks before our trip and helped arrange transportation from the EZE airport. They also offered to arrange any sort of tours, dinner reservations, etc., and we took them up on reserving a tango show for us. It could not have worked out better. We ended up meeting with them every morning to plan our day, and enjoyed all of their suggestions -- from taking the open-air double-decker bus tour around the city to taking a unique day trip to Tigre along with a boat tour through the delta region.

Also, we loved the hotel. The location within Buenos Aires was pretty good, and the rooms were a good size and were comfortable. Plus, the breakfast was amazing! Breakfast consisted of a continental breakfast of pastries, cheeses, meats, and fruits, and they would even cook you an omelette if you preferred.

Overall, we had a truly enjoyable experience, and we would recommend the hotel to anyone. Muchas gracias!!

Lovely calm environment in a very busy city! Excellent location for travelling around and exploring. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming at all times - they really made us feel at home. If we were to go back to BA we would definately stay at the Duque and most definitely recommend it to anyone. Thank you all again for making our holiday extra special.

We secured reservations at the Duque Hotel based on other Trip Advisor comments. We were very pleased. First, the front desk service in helping us plan was exceptional. Everyone in Buenos Aires seems a bit loose in giving directions but the recommendations were spot on. They did arrange for a pick up service at the AEP (domestic airport) that disappointed us in having to wait for 30 minutes when we could have just taken a taxi. The breakfast was good enough and one excellent benefit was the available coffee and tea service. We didn't have time to enjoy the back lounge by the pool but it was very lovely. The rooms were all very clean. One of us couples had a room at the back of the hotel and it was lovely with a window opening to the outside. Another couple had one near the elevator and they had to step down to get to the bathroom and their window opened only to the courtyard which had only hotel "internal air". Steps to the bathroom are a problem in the middle of the night in a strange place. There were many good restaurants within 10 minutes of walking and the subway was only a 15 minute walk. We were very pleased with the Duque, and really appreciate the attentive service by the staff. But if you are planning to make a reservation do it ahead of time. They were full and turning away people as we were leaving.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back for fresh air.

The charm of this hotel is matched by its amazing staff. The atmosphere at the hotel is relaxing and was frequented by guests of all ages and nationalities. The staff multi-lingual staff was able to address questions, concerns, and offer excellent entertainment and dining recommendations and were eager to ensure everyone enjoyed their stay - whether by greeting guests by name or asking specific follow up questions about their daily experiences.

The hotel is within short walking distance to the popular shopping/dining spots in Palermo, but far enough away that you can get a good night's sleep when you decide to turn in.

Traveled with wife, niece and her boyfriend. Best overall hotel experience ever. If you appreciate a small (14 room), best in class European-style boutique hotel, you will not be disappointed. The rooms, breakfasts, "backyard" with small pool and indoor sauna, great neighborhood, attentive, friendly staff who truly enjoy working with each other, housekeepers who go the extra mile, owner who personally is on site most days to check on things, and pretty much everything else here makes you appreciate the love that obviously went into this place, and the care with which it is managed. My niece (22) clearly felt the same way. There's something here for everyone. This was our first time in Buenos Aires. Great country, great city, great hotel and staff.
